We just returned from a week in Paradise. This was our 2nd visit to this resort. We are First Club members so we were greeted by one of our favorite staff members Oscar. Our visit began with a welcome drink in the Club Lounge. The Club staff is the best. Oscar, Jhonny, Ricardo, Fabian, and Ana are so helpful, friendly and fun. They go out of their way to make sure you are having a great time. We had 6 people in our party and all 3 of our rooms were clean and comfortable. The pools are beautif... Read more

Wouldn't go back to Alegro! Service okay, but food and drinks were terrible! We ate out quite a bit for better food! Love Cozumel and will go back, but not this resort! Better off staying somewhere else

We stayed at the Palyacar Allegro and then moved across to Cozumel to this hotel. Both hotels are very similar although this one has much better facilities for children. Extremely similar layout, with separate blocks of 8 rooms, two swimming pols and buffet style dining. You get to book into one of the other restaurants while on site but not until you've been on site for 48 hours, then when you try to book you find that the one night the Chinese Restaurant is open is the day you're leaving...... Just got back from our second trip this year to the Allegro Cozumel, a total of 5 weeks this year. The Allegro is actively improving the resort. From what I could see they are doing rooms and the wood stairs building by building. Service was outstanding as always. Top notch service in the restaurants by Arturo, Enrique, Miguel, Leonel, Sergio, Jorge, Osman. Oh heck. Why name them? They are all fabulous. Food is so-so but aren't all buffets the same? We never went hungry! I couldn't ... Read more

As always, had a great time at the First Club. Karina and the guys at the bar were always helpful and courteous. The food was a little better than it used to be. I really liked that you sectioned off a portion of the beach for the First Club Members, but you need to send someone to see if we need anything and also to keep others out that don't belong.

We usually stay at the Cozumel Palace and decided to come to the occidental Allegro because we heard so much about it. It is on the southern part of the island. The beach is the best asset to this resort. Nice beach and area for swimming and bobbing in the sea. Water is awesome. I would never stay at a resort in Cozumel without air conditioning. The pictures looked nice. We were taken to our room and it was pretty but the was no air that could be considered air conditioning. We asked about it ... Read more

My fiancé and I absolutely loved the Allegro resort. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful assisting in planning excursions. Special thank you to Maddie, Danny, Oscar and Johnny for making our stay amazing! The beach is just a few steps away and stunning especially at sunset. Great restaurants near by and perfect for snorkeling!

The room was very clean and the staff was great as well as the food. The grounds are also very clean too. Our room was close to the beach. Get out early though and save chairs because they go fast. The pools were great and the restaurants were awesome. Would recommend it highly.

Hector and the Ultimate Dive Experience made this one of the best vacations we have ever had. The location is pristine, the service and friendliness of the staff above reproach, the diving was some of the best we have ever experienced and Hector, our concierge made every minute the best. The room was average but we were never in it except to sleep, the all inclusive food and drink was nothing exceptional but certainly more than worth what we paid for. Let me start by saying Hector is top notch! With his warm, careing friendly and professionalism combined with the "unique approach" the Ultimate Dive Experience allowing the best of both worlds for divers who what more than just a strictly dive resort or if you have a group of both divers and non-divers this place has something for all to enjoy. The divers have your own area with pool and private breakfast/reception area close to the water. ProDive was a great dive shop to work with. I wish the ... Read more

We stayed at this resort in late May of this year.First of all this is a very clean resort both in the rooms and the grounds. The staff at this resort were fantastic. They worked very hard and it was their mission to please the guests. I like to keep an open mind when travelling to other resorts other than a five star. Not saying we always travel to five star resorts but I must say we have been spoiled by some of the other resorts we have been too. We are owners in the Occidental vacation club. This was our first visit to Cozumel. The resort is lovely, well maintained and the staff was most friendly and helpful. The rooms have been recently updated but some things are lacking. We had trouble having enough hot water and the room was very warm and stuffy with the air running all the time. The children's area was great and we had two granddaughters with us, ages 7 and 1. They loved it. The largest downside for us was the food, especially sinc... Read more

Clean and well-kept, the Allegro was a decent place to stay. The room was good with a well-stocked mini fridge, but minimal storage space. There were problems with the water, including a lack of hot water. Saw lots of local wildlife, including a coati, lots of lizards and a turtle. The food was just okay. Avoid the vacation club representatives. We got sucked into visiting the neighboring Grand resort (where we were promised there would be no presentations) and spent over 2 hours there listening... Our 3 favorite bartenders knew our drinks and one even went out and bought me guava juice for margaritas!! The room was a good size and our room was in the middle of resort. My family stayed at the resort for a week. June 26 to July 1st. I am going to be very honest with the review. My parents, husband and kids age 9 and 11 wanted a small resort. We stayed at the huge 5 Caribbean star resorts with 12 restaurants, granite, big night shows, etc. Those resorts where too overwhelming and crowded for us. I am more of a boutique hotel person. I booked two rooms, One UDE and One premium. I was not allowed to check into the UDE room because I was not the diver.
