Jeff Jenkins from Saginaw, MI had this to say:
" My family and I just got back from a vacation at this resort. We had a great time. The beach was amazing. There were so many things to do in the area we could have never done them all. But..... We booked the Superior Ocean View Room and there was nothing superior about it. It was a typical room like you would find at a motel 6. The view was more of the pool than the ocean and after many requests never could get a working clock. 80% of the staff were terrific but the other 20% made everything a downer. When we complained about the room we were asked for the print out from the bookit page which I did not have, so nothing was done to remedy the problems with our room. This is a resort that has an excellent beach, good food and lots to do but do not expect to be pampered. I would recommend this resort only for the beach."

Eva Achs from Vancouver, Canada had this to say:
"'We had time of our life! I did not expect to visit a paradise. The resort was clean, staff friendly, great food, we were entertained the whole day and night. We did yoga on the beach in the morning, water aerobic, took Spanish lessons every day, 2 dance lessons a day, step class, played crazy games, did jogging in the evening,..... Every night there was a new show (comedy, dance...) in the theater. Program was almost on semiprofessional level. Every night there was a disco till 2:00 AM, we did not go, we took long walks on the beach under the stars instead and had Margarita at the pool. Beach was also clean. Resort has great large swimming pool (with pool bar) almost on the beach, very clean. Resort was safe, nobody tried to sell us anything. There was a market twice within 7 days at the resort. But if you are into shopping, every day market is just outside of the resort.'Mexican people are very friendly, polite and hard working and they still know how to appreciate little things in life and smile. We had time of our life and hope to go back as soon as we can.'Viva Mexico!''"

K G from Chicago, IL. had this to say:
"'I just returned home from the Maya and it was an excellent resort! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean, the food was good and the beaches were absolutely incredible!!! I would certainly recommend this place to anyone. --- for the price it goes beyond expectations. In a previous review there was a problem with ants and my family did not have problems with, let alone see any at all. We enjoyed the nightly shows which were by no means Broadway or Vegas style but again for the cost of the resort we did not expect that. They were different every night, very entertaining, with great backgrounds, lighting and other effects. The bars had a full assortment of alcohol, but for beer they only serve Dos Equis. My daughter did the trapeze and the staff was very friendly and professional. The only downside was that you do have to have reservations for the restaurants (except buffet) and there was nothing available for the first 2 days we were there, but then we just booked the remainder in advance. Overall - Excellent experience!'"
