The resort is visually beautiful and seems fun as you enter. However, quickly you will find that he staff is less than responsive, never follows through on issues, and begins to ignore you after a while. The grounds are well maintained but the rooms are terrible. My door was difficult to open and impossible to close. The safe was dead - but it did not matter as it was not bolted down. The shower leaked the less than warm water, all over the bathroom, the air conditioner was cool at best. The sl... Read more

Nice place, good food, worth the money. There are 2 restaurants that need reservation, remember to do it as soon as possible as you might not be able to get it at the end of your trip. Every aspect was along the all inclusive standard, room was available 1h after the expected time, as usual. The good thing is that as soon as you arrive you receive your bracelet and can use all the hotel facilities while waiting for your room. Our package included free wifi, for one device only though, real... Read more

Overall the service we received was very very unpredictable. Some of the staff and restaurants were absolutely amazing and accommodating, while others were very slow, absent-minded, and acted annoyed at simple requests. The VIP bartenders gave tremendous attitude and sometimes did not even bother to make the drink if it was a drink that required mixing more than two things. I am a generous tipper, but the treatment that I received at the VIP bar completely turned me off of that portion of the re... Read more

I purchased my trip last year on A friend & I went as a quick pre-summer get away. We both were very excited about the trip. We had gone to Cancun the year prior and was looking forward to this trip. Our troubles started on the fist night. We got to the hotel later in the day. The first room we were assigned only had one bed. We needed two. I left my friend at a midway point, with the luggage, while I walked all the way back to the front desk. The next room we were ass... Read more

First time to this resort. Our good friends were getting married. We stayed in a Pyramid room. So that you don't have to read paragraphs of info, I'll keep it short and sweet with bullet points: *We got the wristband (clear) that gets you into every restaurant. Don't think you can get into a restaurant with the less expensive band. Staff members are hawks when it comes to wristband colors. Staff members were not shy turning away friends in our group because of the wristband color. *LeBuffet wa... Read more

So, let me first start off by saying we got a great deal of about $120 a night at this hotel for all inclusive for two adults. We stayed for 5 nights, arriving on memorial day. I do not suggest this hotel for mature adults or families. AT ALL. Me and my boyfriend are a young couple, and I def cringed at seeing children in the same place as a bunch of drunken frat boys and girls. Cool for me of course because I'm in the college range. I also wouldn't want to be someone in my 30's coming to this... Read more

The wedding planers were great had are room keys all ready for us when we got there, so we got started early. The food, drinks, and service was awesome. VIP bartenders knew your drink the second time u went in. The Careyes bar Victor the bartender remembered me and had my drink there for me. From the time we checked in until we left everyone helped us with a big smile ....that is why the vacations in Mexico are the best. They do what they can to please you, my son found a coconut and he was asking one of the persons working in the yard to help him open it. He took him to the right person to open it then we went to the bar to get a knife to get it all out, the bartender went to the kitchen and came back with a big dish with all the pieces of coconut. They went above and beyond.

Honestly, I was skeptical about this place based on the reviews that are currently on there. I must say, I'm shocked and astounded at what people write because I had a grand time. I booked through CheapCarribean and from beginning to the end the service was impeccable. The Hotel is clean and the staff is very attentive and answered all our questions beforehand. I must say this is more of a young adult hotel, it is very family oriented but I feel the vibe is geared more towards the younger crowd.... Read more

From beginning to end the experience at the Pyramid Grand Oasis has been anything but pleasant! We arrived at 1:30 pm and proceeded to check in but was advised check in isn't until 3pm so we went to eat instead and came back at 3pm. I had reserved a double bed room and paid extra for an ocean view room. Needless to say there was no ocean view! We enjoyed our time at the grand oasis, and the view was amazing. The weather was incredible in January, but the downside was Cancun attracts lots of young people. The food options were good, but it was challenging as a gluten intolerant person to find meals that were ok to eat. If you have high end taste buds or challenging intolerances I would not choose this resort. They had some hidden gem restaurants that if you get in you'll really enjoy.

I read reviews for months before we went and chalked it up to people being too picky or just malcontents. Avoid at all costs if you look for an upscale or an authentic 4-star rating. If low price is attractive - go for it: rooms are decent, albeit there is always something leaking: a shower, a fridge and expect repair works pretty much here and there, without closing down a part for renovation. The food is good, be prepared to stand in queue for breakfast. Music is very loud and in plenty. The setting is magnificent in the evening when crowds are gone. Do not expect free sunbeds by the sea. This is our second time at this resort and we will definitely go back!!! Our room was amazing! We were in the pyramid and the view from our room was beautiful!! You could see the beach and ocean for miles from our room! The staff was really friendly and the restaurants were all pretty good!

Room was very clean but AC did not work well & the safe did not work. I stayed in main resort. The bathtub needs to be replaced. I could not reach to turn on water without actually getting into tub because of a permanent glass enclosure in the faucet area. There is only 1 (2 doors) of elevators. You have to walk rather far to get to them depending on where your room is located. If you are a wine drinker, bring your own as this resort caters more to beer drinkers. Beware of the sales people... Read more

Only issue was our air conditioner was not working properly in our room! Everything else was great. Service was top notch. The pools were absolutely stunning. The beach was magnificent!!! Just wish we would have gotten to stay longer at your resort!

Don't really believe all the bad press about this resort. My wife and I had a blast. The food was good, entertainment and service. The room was plenty big for two people, it included a safe, mini bar which was stock daily; the bed was made every day, the bathroom was cleaned and stock daily etc.. "Leave a tip for the room attendant". Plenty of restaurants to choose from Asian to local foods. The snack bar by Playa 1 building always available with plenty of beer and snacks "Burgers, tacos. chic... Read more

We were at Oasis Tulum for 6 nights and stayed here our last night to be close to the airport. We loved Oasis Tulum because it is smaller, quiet and more intimate. But as far as larger resorts that need to cater to larger crowds this is a solid resort. Service was great, food was very good it was clean and fun with more activities nearby than in Tulum. We still prefer Oasis Tulum but I would stay here again easily.

No pictures you see online can prepare you for this resort. I had read a lot about it and had high expectations, but still was overwhelmed by all the possibilities it offers in terms of fun. Grand Oasis is known as The Entertainment Hotel, and there are plenty of things to do, everyday. Usually we tend to get tired of eating the same things at a hotel, but not here. We spent a week there and could only visit some of its 19 restaurants. The shows in the evening were impressive, and during Mexico'... Read more

We just arrived back after 5 days at the Grand Oasis Pyramid. The rooms were a bit dated but clean. We had an incredible ocean view. We enjoyed the food and the diverse choices of types of food. There were too many restaurants to make it to each one. There was multiple entertainment choices each night. The pool bars could get busy at times but it was never much of a wait. We will be back again to enjoy this resort.

I was a little skeptical about this place because of the horrible reviews...however this is place is nothing or any of those nasty comments. We were 8. I arrived at 9am and my room and my friends room were ready!!! That was the first good room was beautiful, clean and had champagne waiting in my room. The food was delicious, i was there for 7 days and tried almost all the restaurants and not even one complaint. Careyes is spectacular, The White Box super chic with an incredible ocean ... Read more

We are staying at the Pyramide, and we really love it! After traveling to 22 different countries all over the World, I can tell that you will enjoy the Pyramid a lot! There are many different kind of food, all the time you can choose a restaurant and have an amazing meal. Customer service is really 5 stars. Big thank you we would like to say to Marina, she is working at reception and she is really nice and friendly, makes us feel like at home, always ready to help with anything and she speaks m... I don't think oasis pyramid is a five star hotel. But I do have some positive things to say: The main hall is nice and covered with plants. We really liked the pool and beach area. They were clean and well taken care of. They have enough shade and sunny spots for all the guests. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The entertainment is really good with nice and good quality shows. In the garden area are many nice birds (ibis, peacock) and iguanas. The "pyramid only" restaurants ar... Read more

I just returned from the Pyramid and had a great vacation. This place has so much to offer. Many restaurants, daytime activities, night time entertainment, clean beautiful pools, nice relaxing spa, beautiful beach, what else can you ask for? So much choice. Loved the shows in the pyramid'S atrium but bring ear plugs in you want to nap during the day or if you go to bed early because the shows that take place there and the practice for the shows during the day will keep you up. Room was impe... Read more

The landscaping and beach were amazing. Lots of restaurant choices. Rooms were nice. Only issue is having a room in the pyramid is convenient, but noisy every evening during the Red Circus. Otherwise, overall a very nice stay.

Just visited Pyramid of the Grand Oasis Oct.8-13...The hotel and our ocean view room was very beautiful...despite the horrible reviews prior to booking we had no problems at all when it came to customer service, however was not too impressed upon arrival when our room was not ready til 4p.m. instead of 3p.m...supposedly there was an air conditioning/maintenance issue....that they obviously did not fix, the air conditioning was not working up to par, this is a problem I heard from a few other gu... I had been following reviews of this resort for the last few months and honesty was a bit scared because reviews haven't been the greatest and well those that posted those bad reviews I honestly don't know where those came from! We were met at the airport by someone from the resort to shuttle us over and the shuttle was cool and comfortable! When we arrived we were checked in privately in their concierge office and everything was already set up all we had to do was pay our all inclusive fees a... Read more

We visited mid September (low season) & it was great. Hotel felt only half full, which was a bonus when going for dinner or to any bar for a drink. Beach was fantastic & pool. Room large enough & very clean, only thing was bathroom looked a bit dated. Food was great everywhere we ate (especially The White Box). Would highly recommend .

I stayed at The Pyramid in March, for the second time, and was thoroughly disappointed. We had $450 stolen from our locked safe. When we went to speak with management about it, they were extremely rude. We asked to see the lists of who was in and out of our room and they would not allow us to see these and started to raise their voice. I was very disappointed with how disrespectfully they treated us. Being three girls we did not feel safe going to the police station to file an official report an... Read more
