This was the ultimate vacation destination for my girlfriends and me as we celebrated our big birthday together! From the moment we stepped on the property to the very last goodbye, it was fabulous. The staff was attentive, professional and provided great service every day. The menus were healthy and tasty for every meal and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The Activities Director, Emmanuel kept us moving and provided us with fun exercise options everyday. If you want to relax, meet... Read more

We loved our week in Playa del Carmen staying at Sunset Fisherman Spa & Resort. The service, the personnel, the accommodations, everything about it was above and beyond. A big shout out to Laura, Raul, Adan, Pedro, Eduardo and Emmanuel.

We just returned Saturday form 7 days in Playa del Carmen, Sunset Fishermen Spa & Resort.. It was the most it was the most relaxing vacation Iâ??ve had in years. Great location right on the beach but close enough to town and the ferry to Cozumel, very clean and the staff was very attentive they couldnâ??t do enough for you, I would highly recommend if you really want to relax far enough away from the 24-7 party in Cancun but not too far to visit.. I want to thank the wonderful staff there for ma... Read more

Clean, comfortable room and beautifully appointed surroundings. Warm and friendly staff. Just can't say enough about the servers, in particular Adån. This young man was attentive, sweet and funny. We enjoyed eating from the wonderful selection and delicious food while sitting in this amazingly gorgeous environment. Another staff member, Emmanuel, new to the resort, made it especially fun to be there with the varying water activities. Our friends and I enjoyed playing volleyball, doing aerobics a... Read more

We have been coming to Sunset Fisherman's for 12 years and it is still just as enjoyable. The beach is amazing and the staff are beyond friendly. Marciel is one of the kindest people ever. Anselmo is very helpful and always asks if you need anything. Emmanuel is a fun activities director and encourages people to participate in the activities to get the full experience. The location is great because you can walk into the town of Playa for dinner and a fun night out!

We loved our stay here. It isn't one of those ginormous resorts where it takes 10 minutes to get to the beach. It is beautiful and clean and has the best beach ever! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pools were kept clean and has a swim-up bar. They had fun activities - the guacamole class was yummy. They have kayaks you can take out. They don't make a fuss about using beach towels and I noticed they have a library of books there in case you've forgotten one. They employ a guy to ... Read more

We own several contract at this unique timeshare resort and have been coming here yearly for the past 10 years. As the years have passed we stay for longer periods of time with our visit in Feb/Mar 2016 being for 3 weeks. We have stayed in all the different size condos. This year we choose the studio condos in the north tower. The view is great. We have many friends visit every year and all agree this resort is like nowhere else. To stay here is like having your own beachfront home. The staff i... Read more

My parents are Sunset Group, time share member so we come to Sunset Fisherman's often. Our most recent visit was May 21st-28th. Although the resort is not a fancy five star place, we always stay here because it has the best beach out of all of the Sunset Group properties. The rooms were recently remodeled and always clean so we don't mind staying here. Besides, who comes on vacation to stay in their room all day? As I mentioned, the beach is beautiful here and the best part is that it is privat... Read more

We were staying at Hacienda Tres Rios and went in to Playa del Carmen for some shopping. While there went to the Sunset Resort for lunch. The beach was outstanding! Gorgeous sand and beautiful water. At this resort you are directly on the beach front. If you're looking for immediate access to the beach and easy shopping this is the place for you!ð???

Location- "great", "intimate". Room - nice, but when it rains (down pours) the water came in the bedroom #233B. but other than that it's great. There could be more variety for breakfast & dinner. The drinks are watered down. But when requested the will make them stronger. Eduardo is great! The Wifi sucks. It takes 1/2 hour to upload a pic, especially if the weather is bad. Not too many water sports there. Emmanuel is great, friendly but the Resort needs updated entertainment and music that ... Read more

We have been owners at Fisherman for ten years. After we purchased at Tres rios we kind of neglected coming here. On arrival we were given a room on the third floor which was not good because we have problems doing stairs. The next day we Approached Eiida our concierge with our concern. She immediately approached Dianna who was very helpful and we were moved to a room with a great view and no stairs. When we first started coming in 2006 the food was not very good and the selection was sm... Read more

The best place to be in all of Playa! The beach is steps from every single room - the pool is great. The staff is amazing, we love going there. We go every year! We always buy our own food and make breakfast and lunch and go out to town for dinner. The all inclusive is okay, the drinks are good, and the food is okay.

First, full disclosure: I'd never go to Playa in July again. EVER. Sickeningly humid. Here are my brief thoughts on Fisherman: 1. Pool is 95 degrees or hotter. Not refreshing. 2. Breakfast buffet is the only thing you can order in the morning. No menu and we are not buffet people. $12.00 x 5 people every morning gets expensive. 3. The room we had was decent. Shower leaked pretty badly as did the air conditioner. Beds were comfy. No TV in the living room area, which we found odd. That's certa... Read more

My wife and I go there every year for the last two years. Weare going again this fall. Absolutely love it. Very restful nice staff and on Sunday there is a guy who sell jewelry.he is a neat guy and the wares he sells are great. We generally drop a few hundred there. Taxi to 5th ave is about 80 pesos. There are so many places to eat wonderful food.

My daughter (5) and I stayed there for 2 weeks in July, we really enjoyed this great small resort. I am not a big resort kind of person and this was perfect. I rented through the owner, which was great as his unit is well appointed. 1. It was nice to have a restaurant on premises, however the only breakfast option being a buffet, this wasn't for us. We mostly prepared our own breakfast and lunch in the condo, and ate a la carte dinner at the restaurant. Service was excellent, we had lovely Mar... Read more

I spent 8 days in this resort. I have only positive comments. I bought an all inclusive package . Food is good and everyday there is a new menu. You can drink and eat International and sometimes mexican. Rooms are Big,cleaned and well organized with a iacuzzi on the balcony. Swimming pool plus a wonderful beach make the resort a nice place for relaxing. Regarding the restorant i want to mention a wonderful person: Agustin porras (area a y b). He is that kind of person that works not only for mo... Read more
