This was our third visit within the past year to this hidden oasis, from the outside this hotel looks just like any other hotel, but when walk through the doors you realize there is an hidden oasis waiting for you. The beach is probably one of the best White sand beach in Cancun, that still has the old charm of Cancun with Coconut palms and quaint palopalas with gorgeous blue water, quite relaxing. The staff, and house keeping staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a very relaxing time a... Read more

It's been a few years since I stayed here and I must say that the upgrades and modernization to the hotel are excellent. From lobby to rooms the upgrades incorporate modern chic. Very well appointed rooms. Impeccably clean with a cool ambiance. The beach area is nice flat sand - nit rocky outcrops like some neighboring resorts. Two pools - a quiet one to the side for adults only. Well appointed gym, but the air con struggles to keep up so it can get a stuffy late in the day. The staff is exce... Read more

We stayed here twice before and enjoyed it so much that we had to come back. Again, everything was perfect. Check in was a breeze. The room was perfect. We paid and upgraded to the club level and once again were not disappointed. The new full service Spa was a personal favorite. The food throughout the resort was fantastic. I can't wait to go back. A special thanks to Adolfo the Chief Concierge for his excellent care.

I rarely write reviews online, but i read them anytime I go to new places. I wanted to share the wonderful experience we had at the InterContinental hotel. It was my first trip to Cancun and I had no idea what to expect. i loved the comfort at the hotel and the beach. I think the InterContinental has the best beach in Cancun, after I visited few places during my stay. I most most impressed with the service. Everyone tried their best to make our stay comfortable, arrange for our transportation,... Read more

Very nice family pool and adult only pool if you wanted a little quieter but the best place to be is at the well groomed beach with wonderful soft white sand with a beautiful view. I highly recommend you contact Paul, on left side of the beach and take his sail boat for an hour or more cruise of the bay with captain Haviar.

This was our second stay at the Presidente and it did not disappoint. Actually it was a bit better than last year even though there were more people here this year. We decided to stay in a suite and pay for the upgrade that gives you access to the private club/lounge. The club gives you breakfast and dinner canapes but the diversity and quantity of food makes it easy to call it breakfast buffet and dinner. It also includes alcohol during breakfast and dinner and soft drinks/water/coffee all day.... Read more

I stayed at the Intercontinental Presidente twice in the last few months: the first was a few days in April, when I went with my husband to celebrate our first anniversary. On arrival, we upgraded to the club King with ocean balcony â?? and, wow, this room is special! Modern, renovated, spotless, well-designed, quiet. Excellent rain shower and tub and all the amenities (high quality toiletries, slippers, robes, etc). Balcony was private and had a spectacular view of the ocean. The beach itself... Read more

This was my first time visiting Cancun, so I cannot compare this hotel to any others on the strip, but the hotel was quite nice. All of the staff I encountered were super friendly and accommodating! Our room was nice with just a little bit of wear to it. The shower was wonderful and the bed very comfortable. We ate at each of the restaurants and thought they were much better options than what was available outside the hotel. Each restaurant had its own personality - causal, beachy, Mediterranean... My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. Awesome room with great view to lagoon and ocean. Incredible hotel staff. They were very helpful and courteous. The room was impeccable. Extremely clean. Everything worked perfect. We were impressed with how clean the staff left the room every day. I've never seen anything like that before and I've stayed in hundreds of hotels throughout the years in many countries for business and pleasure. The beach is amazing. I surely recommend this hotel.

There were however some aspects of the stay that could have been better - the air con in my room was very noisy - it was impossible to sleep having it on and uncomfortable to sleep having it off because of th... The smoke detector was located right over the bed, and all night it blinked flashing lights like we were at the airport. Te flashing was red and green and flashed at different frequencies. What a place to put a smoke detector!!! My wife stared at it all night - each night, and could not get a good night sleep. Too bad, otherwis... Read more

The hotel had been chosen by Llama Travel as the last stop on our tour of archaeological sites in Mexico. Cancun comes as a bit of a shock after touring round the small towns and villages in Mexico - miles of hotels, restaurants, bars and beaches, but if that's what some people want, then this hotel is a good place to stay. The entrance area is very impressive and the reception staff were always helpful and courteous. The room we had was very large, with a huge double bed, plus very attractiv... Read more

This place mixes a lot of good points that would make me stay there again. it´s not big as the other resorts in the area, but delivers a very interesting and pleasant experience. Service: Cant´complain about the service. From the moment I stepped in to the moment I left the hotel team was perfect. Easy and fast check in, even easier check out. In the breakfast area, the team always were up to help with anything we needed. Room: Standard room with 2 big confortable beds with room enought to y... Read more

The hotel rooms were large as a suite and very modern with two tv's. We had one full bathroom and one half bathroom. The Pool area is sizeable and the water is warm. On the beach there are lots of Palapa style umbrella's for shade but lots of serving staff hovering and talking to each other. The Hotel wasn't very busy and the Concierge Lounge on the first floor was very nice with a good selection of food, drink and cocktails. While on the beach we were approached by a homeless looking man asking ... Read more

We stayed here Nov 5-12 and loved it. The pictures of the outside of the hotel do not do it justice. Inside is newly renovated and updated. The staff was very friendly and willing to help in any way they could. The hotel is truly on the best part of the hotel zone- quiet with a large expansive beach area (much larger than in front of the other neighboring hotels). We loved every minute here and were very sad to leave. Room 615 had a wonderful view and a balcony. The pool area was big and had a... Read more

After several years my daughter and myself convinced my wife to travel to Mexico for her very first time. Knowing Cancun is a very Americanized we knew this trip would be a great first destination for her and she would be more open minded about future travel in other destinations in that country. Upon going to bed in our standard room we discovered what I would describe as an epic failure in housekeeping from the previous room's guests. I have spent over 100 nights in hotels this year and pro... Read more

Stayed in room #605, and since I join the Club rewards program, right before booking, I got a double upgraded room plus, early check-in and late check out, well worth the money., Everyone was very nice, great beach, great location slightly away from the crowds. Classy inside and out, not so gaudy and tacky like 90% of the other hotels.

Beautiful hotel with an exceptional room (406), providing jaw-dropping sea views from both bedroom and shower; the addition of blackout blinds and an very comfortable bed laden with down pillows was bliss. After complaining about an initially confusing and ad-hoc check-in the staff showed their professionalism by managing the complaint with grace and ensuring we were properly looked after. The beach is the gem, with silky-soft golden sand. Staff are consistently on hand to provide for your every... Read more

We stayed for two nights before heading to the south. Our room was a bit too modern/cool for our taste, but it was clean, comfortable bed and nice lobby, pool, restaurant with excellent breakfast. Part of the bathroom is in the room - I do not like or understand these kind of bathrooms personally, but ok. Before going back to the airport a few weeks later, we decided to buy a daypass, to stay at the presidente again, because the alternative hotel we booked for our last night was horrible. So w... We stayed for 4 nights after a tour of Mexico. Very nice rooms, great pool and beach area. Loads of sunbeds. More than just a tourist hotel, we enjoyed the well designed bars and beachside restaurant. Excellent dinner, and great breakfast buffets.. Ate lunches at the poolside restaurant with good fish choices.. Close to shopping centres and mexican restaurants.. Above average prices, but worth it.

We are here for thanksgiving break and it is definitely their off season here. Our rate is a little over 200 with taxes and fees per night. Overall, great hotels and amenities. Wifi is slow but workable. Pool area is great and beach is great. Food is pretty good but overpriced as expected. One question.. why is the jacuzzi COLD???

We were debating between InterContinental and CasaMagna Marriott and went with InterContinental because it's slightly cheaper. We were worried before getting there. It turned out that we had an excellent experience - hotel decor is modern, staff is nice, room is clean with a patio. You get access to the white sand beach. Drinking at the bar by the beach with the swings is so relaxing. Although the hotel is not on the main strip, the cab is really cheap so you can just hop on one. The only compla... Read more

We attended the wedding of a good friend in the Yucatán but first relaxed in Cancun. We changed to a water view room well worth the extra USD 50. We travel a lot and liked this hotel for the outside bar, pool and overall resort like atmosphere. Not over the top by any means but reasonable with a Hawaiian like feel. The lobby service could be bit more on the ball. Would stay there again

Nice . Safe ! Great staff . Angel was a great host in the evenings . boat ride sales men on the beach were the worst part . The only thing missing was a hot tub. We would stay here again . Good location great laundry mat and the best gas station i have ever seen across the streets ... puts 1950s America to shame . They clean the black walls on every car check the oil and clean all the glass. 2 attendants per pump its off the chain

The hotel itself is good. The room service and restaurant quality is good. The most outstanding part of the property is the beach. We spent 3 nights at the property based on the reviews. What was surprising is the rave reviews of the pool area. While nice to look at the water was cold - really cold and we absolutely did not enjoy it being pool people. The hotel itself seemed empty quite unlike the hustle and bustle of the other hotels on the strip that we stayed at as part of our 12 nights in c... Read more

We are Spire members of the ambassador club and priority club as well so we get an upgrade, free wifi etc. It is well worth the 150/year and pays for itself in one stay. We took the shuttle from the airport for $24/couple. The doorman took our suitcases and Octavio received us at the reception for members. We asked for an upgrade and he provided a great room with an additional private outdoor shower and a real nice partial view of the beach and the gulf. We were escorted to the club lounge by co... We travel to Mexico often, not staying in Cancun but usually south of the city. My sister and I were looking for a relaxing beach hotel in Cancun with a good service and a great beach since this was to be a quick trip. We were familiar with the Presidente brand and felt it was our best choice. Thanks to the Presidente for meeting all our expectations and delivering a great vacation.
