"We have recently returned from our trip and had a FABULOUS time!! The travel angels must have been on our side because our experience is very different from the other reviews. First off, if you do stay here, please arrange for their shuttle service to pick you up from the airport. You'll need to do this about a week in advance of your arrival date. If you don't make prior transporation arrangements, you'll be bombarded by vendors offering you 'free' transportation services and excurstions in exchange for attendance to their time share seminar. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted with warm, wet towels and mango smoothies. From that point forward until our departure, the customer service from everyone who worked at the hotel was 5 star!! The resort has only been in existance for two months and we're not sure if it's because they've only been an organization for two months or another reason, but my husband and I were 1 of 12 couples at this resort - we were spoiled! We always had our choice of where to sit at the pool or on the beach. Although there weren't many guests, they never skimped on the food. It was always good and there was plenty of it. We had great service and great food at each of their restaurants: Gaijin, Zango and Seasons. Their breakfast buffet consisted of traditional and mexican breakfast foods, pastries and fruit. The coffee was delicious - it seemed like I had a whole pot by myself! And Reyez kept our cups full at all times! It's not a 'party' hotel, which was perfect for us; it's the perfect place for rest and relaxation. We did pay for 'premium' accommodations and our fridge was stocked everyday with snacks and a variety of drinks. The room was nice (standard expectations) and the hotel has marble everywhere! It's located about 10 minutes away from La Isla mall and about 20 minutes from the airport. Plenty of restaurants in the area if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Our Entertainment Director, was great! Very friendly and energetic! Our St Trop servers always kept our drinks as well as our stomachs full - no matter where we were, on the beach or poolside. Antonio and Irving treated us like VIP's in their Season's restaurant. We love this place and know that we were lucky to be here at the right time. We definitely plan to come back and enjoy ourselves again!"

"First of all, this was just a hotel unde rthe construction. We had a room where construction was above us. Nonstop construction from 8 am - 6 pm on the 6th floor. They gave us a room on the 5th floor. Not very convenient, we were not able to relax in our room. Next to the hotel, there is a new hotel building which is blocking the sun at Sandos after 4 pm. Me and my husband overpaid this vacation because it was a Spring Break. The price should have been less, because its not a 4 star hotel, it should be a 3 star hotel. We can't complain about the food, because it was great, and although we had all-inclusive everyone was expecting a tip from us. We can recommend this hotel for people 50 and family with kids, because it's so quiet, it's dead with no entertainment. About construction above our heads, I contacted the manager four times and she did nothing. That's the way to show disrespect for their guests. We will never go there again, and we saw other hotels near by that had better value for this price."

"Few things I didn't like such as no Coffe at all in hotel besides during breakfast and in the room, otherwise you will not be able to get any at the bars. Also hotel don't allowe your friend to visit you unless you pay about $300 for daily visit. This is wrong because you don't have chance to booked same hotel so hotel will not even let your friend to step in if you are not guest."

"Amplias habitaciones, todas ellas de modo incluyente. 3 lujos y buenos restaurantes, bar de la piscina se salva de hambre, pero no es gran cosa. selección de vinos, el bar en la piscina., le sugiero que exigen las buenas bebidas, o bien servir a que el barato. Gimnasio gigante incluyó la primera y un spa de clase mundial con los precios de clase mundial para la primera. En general un excelente trato de todo el personal, aunque un poco lento en la piscina. El servicio de habitación era bastante regular, con platos muy pocos. Recomiendo el uso de los restaurantes y evitar el servicio de habitaciones. Se ha cubierto de estacionamiento con o sin servicio de aparcacoches. La tienda de pequeño hotel es muy caro más del doble del normal, cuando por ahí cerca de las tiendas. Muy bien situado cerca de Luxury Avenue, al lado del hotel Ritz Carlton. Le sugiero no pagar más de $ 350 por noche de lo contrario elija un hotel de primera clase como vecinos. La vista normal es vista parcial al mar y un hotel de al lado que impide la vista de alta. Yo personalmente uso las camas reservadas en la zona de la piscina sin tener que pagar, y no dije nada ... Considero que el abuso de un cargo para ellos, si no ir a por ello."

"We vacationed from April 10-15. Many points to be raised: There was no mention that a new high rise hotel was being built right next door and they worked from 9-5. They were also doing interior work on our hotel since they are still transforming it. Construction noise was so loud in our 'premium' room on the penhouse floor, that we had to switch. Three times. The one BR suite we ended up with was nice. We paid up for a premium room which gave us NO premium ameneties. The only wine included in our all inclusive was from Chili. It was undrinkable. Any other wine was charged by the bottle. They didnt offer a pay by the glass option. We weren't allowed to use the cabanas around the pool because those were reserved for 'elite' guests and we were 'premium'. And we were the only ones at the pool! We got billed for the wi-fi. The desk claimed there is 'confusion' with the rules since they are switching over from the old hotel. Our mini-bar had no liquor or snacks; only water, beer and soda. So basically, paying up for premium got us nothing. The drinks at every bar (esp. beach bar are watered down). Breakfast is only served indoors. The coffee is tasteless. There is only one outside spot for lunch and the food is less than average. There is a pizza oven outside that theyuse to heat up frozen pizza. Where is the grilled fish? That's inside. The gym is large, however. We did not try spa treatments. The indoor restaurants had very good food, however, while the tasting menu at Seasons was very good, they offered us flat sparkling wine with the first course, and the cheap Chilean wine for the main. Last but not least, my daughter's two bracelets and some of my makeup were 'missing' from our room. I contacted the desk once we got home regarding the matter but they did not follow up. Hmm. Good points: beautiful beach; good activities director; 3 awesome pools (warm, warmer and warmest), nice grounds, good food, nice gym. Overall, they really need to work the kinks out. Lastly... don't snorkel in Cancun. There is very very little to see."
