Because I`m adults-only I`m quiet and laid-back, but a night on the town is never far away. I have a beautiful beach and ocean views from every room, like my brother resort Grand Oasis Viva beach, but I`m affordable enough to fit any budget. You could say I live a double life, but I do it just for you and in the end it makes for an incredibly exciting, relaxing and desirable vacation.

"We have travelled to other all inclusives in DR and this is our first time in Cancun. The Viva is in a good location and from other traveller reviews, did enjoy the lovely beach, calm waters and beautiful sunsets. I think we had the nicest stretch of beach and location just steps outside of the hotel... was lovely.
The food was okay and typical buffet - not bad, not great either but we did not suffer from any tummy trauma either.
The one Mexican a la carte was worth a couple of trips in as the food there was excellent! As we had no other a la carte restaurants included in our 'all inclusive' we were very disappointed but...you only get what you pay for.
The chicken wings/snacks by the poolside were very good and we enjoyed these almost daily.
The activities around the pool were fun and the entertainment crew was fantastic and very engaging and fun. If you are looking for sun, location and reasonable, this is a good choice."

"The pictures shown for the hotel room is not even close to what they are like in actuality. This is a very old hotel - it is run down and needs updating in a hurry. We had to purchase an upgrade for over $900.00 to get a room that was close to what we wanted.
Having said that, there are some things that we liked. The staff was excellent. They helped whenever they could and in so many ways, it is difficult to name them all. The concierge - was awesome! Also, the restaurant staff is outstanding. We loved going out at night and interact with them.
Here is a little rundown on our stay. We booked 12 nights from middle to end of August 2012. When we got there and saw our 'standard' room, we bulked and asked if there was anything better. We had to pay over $900.00 for 2 adults and 1 child to get upgraded. The upgraded room was ok, but located in a different area of the hotel. Someone in Spain (owner of the Oasis hotels) must have decided to start rebuilding this area and we were asked after 8 days to either move to a standard room (no way) or go to their sister property Oasis Grand. We decided on the Grand and packed all our stuff. We got transport to the Grand and they gave us a room, which was a standard room (OMG). Ceiling was coming down, credenza was falling apart, it was worse than at the Viva. However, this time we told them that we had already paid for an upgrade and expected the same at the Grand. Finally, after much hassle, we ended up in a room we could live with for the rest of our vacation. We lost a whole day and had lots of aggravation. Would I go back to the Viva - not sure, maybe once it is renovated - the food and especially the people were great. Would I go back to the Grand? Not sure - the beach is awesome, the Spanish Tapas restaurant was the best we ate at, but the place itself did not excite us. We had 13 days of vacation and that is always nice. Next time, I will pay more ahead and get a better place.

"Really bad experience after a guy from the security of the hotel got into my room and robe me money. I got him getting out and after all the trouble thanks god he return my money, The hotel needs renovation, they need to include a mini bar inside the rooms. some of the staff are not as friendly as others ( Leo on Dos Lunas restaurant is excellent). Need to improve in the entertainment at night . I would not recommend this hotel at all"

"Overall, the staff was very friendly and the location was nice. Our room was taken care of but the staff never even put bottled water in our room after the 1st day. Being in the sun all day that would have been nice to have some in the room... The wi-fi service was like 15.00 to use. The buffets were full of different types of food and most of the restaurants were good to eat at. The staff in the restaurants were very friendly. The hotel itself in some areas were very nice but the room we were in could have been nicer, but again it was in the moderate price range. The hotel could have used more lounge chairs, because it was hard to get a seat by the pool or water if you didn't get out there early. I won't give it 5 stars but I would say it was about average. We had all inclusive meals and drinks and that was nice."
