"I was very disappointed with our room and the facilities at the Oasis Palm Beach Resort (I stayed at a better motel then here so called resort). There were five people cramped in a small room. Our room smelled like a sewer especially bathroom. Bathroom celling had mold that was painted over and over and bathroom mirror had black paint splattered all over the sides. Celling paint was peeling all over especially around vents. Our room had early 90s model TV that was 19... with a picture quality and channel lineup of rabbit ears antenna and a broken remote control. The room was missing mini fridge, upon request they responded promptly with an early 90s fridge. The sliding door lock was broken & door handle was barley attached, for a security we had to use aluminum pipe. Window curtain was ripped. Celling had holes in it. Terrace floor tile was loose in places. The housekeeping staff was very nice, but they always brought three water bottles & three towels. We always had to ask for extra water bottles & towels (which didn't bother me much). There were no bathroom rug; we had to use our own bath towels. Their website information about visiting sister resorts fail to mention that it cost extra. Jacuzzi is available through a spa for a cost (it's around $12 for 15 minutes a person). For first couple days of our stay Oasis Palm Beach was out of beach towels. Listed all inclusive sports activities were not available. We were pretty satisfied with restaurant staff, their food was great and they had pretty good selection. Couple restaurants were not all inclusive there was an additional fee. Our nine year old son REALLY enjoyed kids club.

"This hotel has gone down hill since the last time we were here some 5 years ago. The hotel has more waiters then cleaning staff, the public washrooms were always a disaster. My 4 year old would not go back to the kids club after the first day since all the kids spoke Spanish and she did not. She said all the kids would not play with her. Even the movies and puppet show at the kids club were in Spanish.
the waiter was the only impressive thing that we saw, he was excellent and was tipped very well every night.
The rooms were OK, the y must have gotten a deal on some pillow top pads for their mattresses because you could see it on on the beds when you walked past a room that the maid was cleaning. They were too soft and dipped in the middle.
The other annoying thing is that they party in the Disco and on the beach in front of all the rooms until 3 in the morning. If you are there for a party then go, but if you have kids and are in the room playing cards with the wife trying to get the kids sleeping it has its challenges

"I was very disappointed with the service and facilities at the Oasis Palm. First our names were all mixed up and messed up on the reservation and they never thought it was important enough to fix it. Our room was not ready--it totally smelled like a sewer. They had to come and spray and run a machine all night and even after this treatment --the bathroom never smelled good--even though we sprayed and sprayed everything we had... The housekeeping staff just never seemed to be able to count to five. There were five of us every day and every day we got a different number of towels and cloths and sometimes not even a rug for the floor. Never an adequate amount. The desk staff was not friendly and mislead us in terms of what was offered with our very expensive package. Five restaurants--NO! Only three are included in your plan and only two are good. The other two required a small additional payment of ten dollars we were told. This lie was followed by a bill for the full amount in the one great restaurant on the property . There were other things wrong but I don't want to run out of space before I mention the one great thing-- THe Kids Club--it was a shining star. My grandson (5 years old) loved the creative activities, the staff and the facilities. We had to drag him out every day after the first. The other staff that was friendly and fun were the young people who worked hard ALL day as the activity hosts. I have to say Thank God the weather cleared up because I was not pleased at all with the accomdations or most of the people. There should also not be the huge division between the two properties so connected to each other. Children are children. It really hurt my grandson when he was told he could not have ice cream from the same ice cream cart that parked on his side every day because it was parked on the 'other side' at this particular time of the day. Breakfast was good, but the buffets did not change each day and the International one was just BAD! I wish I could say the Oasis Palm had a chance--But I am telling everyone I know to never go to any of their properties. I have stayed at all kinds of places before so I know the difference between a five star and a family hotel all over the world and this place just keeps sucking people in and is not delivering, I have never had such awful things to say about a resort before."

"The hotel grounds were kept well, parking is not great, room smelled musty, if you are allergic to mold don't come here. Now with all that said we had a good time here, the food was bettier then our next destination in Cancun. The pool area was nice, the staff was helpful and nice. We would stay there again, good for the price. Located along way from the action, on the very north of the strip. Nice small beach, bit rocky."

"I agree with several of the other comments in regards to not knowing there are two different Oasis hotels that are side by side. None of the internet sites explains the difference very well between what you get at one over the other. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. However, for what we paid, the food could have been a lot better. The buffet was always the same every day. And what should have been hot was just mildly warm and what should have been cold was mildly cool. The unlimited drinks were the best part of the deal. The nightly entertainment was pretty good too. One night we were there they had a Mayan dance show that was very enjoyable. I also read where someone complained about seeing a pool with water slides on-line but never saw it once they were there. That's because the slides are only in the kiddie pool at their child care center.Which, if you have children under age 10 is a great place to drop them off for a few hours each day. They provide lots of activities, art classes, movies and swimming each day. The room was ok but not very modern. No flat screen tv's. Just small 21' old box tv sets. Can't believe with the money they take in they haven't upgraded their rooms with flat screens. Also, the hair dryer holder kept falling off the wall each day. They never did fix it while we were there. And one last thing, make sure you reserve one of the free resturants no later than 8:15am for dinner. They go in a hurry. Otherwise you'll be eating at the buffet every day. This isn't a 4 or 5 star hotel, but it's not a 2 or 3 either. Most reviews gave it a 3 1/2 which I would say is just about right. Knowing what I know now, next time I visit Cancun I'll stay at something like a Hyatt or Westin. Might cost a little more but like they always say, 'you get what you pay for.'"

"Over all the value was good My two children and wife and I had a great time the buffets changed up there menu everyday. Pool was clean and the ocean was awesome and that is where we spent our time. Staff was great interacting with everybody Lets be honest most of us are not made of money. The thing is you usually get what you pay, and for us we think we got more."

"This is the 3rd year in a row I have stayed at a resort with several bad reviews and like I have learned the first year, that you can't go by the reviews. The check in was quick (10 minutes, top) . The staff, all around, were hard working AND friendly. No musty odor in the room. Ate at the buffet every night, b/c there were 3 people in our party ranging in age from 6 to 45 and we all found something we liked every night. Breakfast was awesome and the the Taco stand by the pool was our favorite for lunch, but the snack bar was suffice also. Beach wasn't the greatest, however, we walked along the beach, up further was some beautiful spots with no people, that we hung out at most of the morining before heading to the pool. This hotel is perfect for families with young children, but would not be my first choice if looking for a young partying hotel. I was in mexico 20 plus years ago and stayed at some great places that catered more to young partyers and would pick a hipper place to hang out other than the Palm if I was in my 20's again. Just ignore all the bad reviews and go with an open mind. it is definitely a great value."

"This Hotel was so bad I can not believe where you sent us. Even the staff said they have repeated problems and most guest end up at a sister property due to your staff not giving proper information. We did not get our king size bed as promised, we had to push two double beds together. The room was dirty, bugs and smelled , as the hotel smelled due to the lagoon. We had to pay $10.00 for five minutes of internet that was suppose to be free. Food was horrible, had to leave to eat at another hotel the Grand, take the bus back and forth, just to get decent food. Staff was very pushy and rude. Very disorganized and had to wait room was not ready. Waited two hours for them to get room ready. We would of loved to come back and will tell everyone not to go to this end of the zone. We were told it was close to the airport and it was far out and very inconvienent and costly for our travel. The communication and the knowledge of your staff and this hotel are so bad the supervisor could not even call you and would not due to the International call they said and expense. Never in all our travels has a vacation been such a mess. We visited the Grand Oasis and said they see this repeated over and over and would be talkng to you. Cancun should of been an adventure of a lifetime and could of been if you would of placed us where we could of gotten better accomoadations. We have to be honest here so this does not continue to happen and to help your business to keep the tourism up. Maybe you should send a staff member there to experience , so they know what people are really getting into. This is what was discussed with us and the hotel and they agree. So there is no bad surprises. People should leave saying wow can not wait to go back there. If you would of sent us to a nice place like the Grand we would go back in a heart beat. At least get close to that where you have a beautiful beach and not such horrible smells. We heard numerous complaints on that issue. Hope you can make this right somehow."

"Our first trip to Cancun on our Honeymoon we stayed at the Oasis Playa, the All Inclusive package for the Oasis hotel chain was wonderful because we had several properties to eat & drink from. Fast forward a few years later we come back for our Anniversary along with several family members and friends, we decided to stay at the Oasis Palm. When we arrived at the hotel we were "upgraded... to the hotel next door. Unfortunately, we had the wrong wristbands to eat at their restaurant or food carts. We had to walk back to the Oasis Palm for the "All Inclusive... amenities. We were then told that several of the restaurants on the property were not all-inclusive and only 1 of the Oasis hotel chains was included. We decided to have lunch from one of the outdoor food stands and saw the cook sucking on his finger then continue to cook (no gloves). We asked him several time to wash his hands before preparing our food, he ignored us and continued to cook. He placed his bare, unwashed hands directly on the food he was preparing. We reported this to the hotel management staff; they gave us a comment form and sent us on our way. That cook was never removed from the food stand. Just think of the communicable diseases that he may have passed along, ex: Hepatitis B, Salmonella, etc. The reason we know is there was a Registered Nurse and a retired US Army Mess Hall Sergeant traveling with us."

"For what we paid for 7 days, it was a good value. The buffet food was good but the same every day. Breakfast was the best. The food stands around the pool were pretty good. Some staff members were very nice and some were very rude. The front desk staff did not explain how the 'all-inclusive' really worked when we checked in. We learned the hard way. Apparently our room was upgraded through our agency so we stayed in the hotel next door. However, we did not have access to the pool or food stands for that hotel. We did not have the right color wrist band. Quite embarrassing to be kicked out of their pool or to be told this stand is only for the black band guests . We had to walk to back to the Oasis Palm hotel for pool use and food. Luckily, distance between both hotels was a short walk. The activites at our pool were excellent. Activity staff was very friendly and outgoing. The night-time circus show is a must see. The beach area was not crowded and the water was the perfect temperature. The Best Day personnel were very friendly and helpful. I would return to Cancun but to a different hotel."

"I stayed at Oasis Palm for 5 nights in June 2012. I must say that the staff all around the hotel were very friendly, especially in the restaurants and bars. The drinks at the outside bars were awesome. The karoke and disco were good free activities if you want to avoid spending extra money. However, the cleanliness of the hotel was not great. There were bugs everywhere out in the hallways. The hotel has a horrible damp feeling and it smells like mold and mildew. If something is missing from your room you have to wait hours or days before the staff brings it to your door. The sister hotels that you also have limited access to are pretty far away. The food is mediocre. I enjoyed myself in Cancun and met alot of interesting people. However, if I ever go back I would not stay at Oasis Palms hotel."

"I purchase this mini vacation for my kids and for my parents. Really disatisfied the Hotel stuff some extremely rude. My kids travel from California there and they were expecting what they saw on the pictures they never find their playground. The gentlemen @ reception told them they were only allow to use that beach nor even get close to the other side, they told my kids they have to pay to use the kids room and everything else inside the kids club?? They gave them a regular room like a casino or a Motel 6 room, the shower was so to small. Not worth it for all the money that we pay my parents left the hotel at 10.00 A.M of the day they were suppose to depart they never use any of their facilities. Everything for kids closed at 6.00 food parlous and stuff. and they told me at 10.00 P.M. The pbx operator attendant terrible they never find my dad's room and I keep telling them I was calling from California. They first day my parents were check in they couldn't find them no clue what they were doing. Expensive for what they received there's better hotels and a little more money but luxury and nice stuff. I wasn't there to put them in their place you. Worst ever experience. "

"My stay at the palm oasis was the worst. It all started with the room and view. It was nothing beautiful or that you would take any pictures of. Next was the food. OMG it was nasty. They didn't have different variety to pick from so I barely ate for 5 days unless I was on the strip. The pool was dirty and it cause me to catch and ear infection called swimmers ear. I just left the hospital where I live. If you want a hotel stay that is breath taking and close to the strip I advise you not to pick this hotel. My biggest problem was when I booked this hotel I was told I can eat and drink at the other oasis. THAT'S A BIG LIE! They was not having that at the grand oasis which is right next door. I would go back to Cancun but I won't be staying at the palm oasis. The ketchup and juice is water down and the syrup smells like cat smh. I couldn't wait to get home and have a real meal. I could have stayed at the motel and ate food from the strip and visit the beach because most of them aren't private. They are open to the public. This isn't the place to stay at all. Out of all the staff there only like 2 or 3 speak little English and only 1 or 2 speak good English "

"My stay at the hotel was lackluster at best. I was expecting to be at the grand oasis whish is what i had discussed w my agent because that is what i did two years prior with you guys and it was great. Availability on both sides. When i got there, i had to check in at one location which was fine but the lady told me that she upgraded my room to the a different one but the pool, bars and all of their ammenities were not included. I had to pay for them. along w my daughter and girlfriend, we were thrown out of the pool at the other location, which is where our room was and told we were not allowed to be there. It was embarrasing and infuriating. Also our room was the furthest rooms from the elevator in a hotel we could use nothing at. Needless to say, i was very dissappointed and will never book there again. Your services were easy and fast and the flights were also convenient giving us and extra day and half there with direct flight in but the hotel is another story. I will continue to book my future vacations but not at their establishments. The food was ok, the service at the oasis palm was very good but the whole experince was bad."

"The hotel was overbooked the weekend that we went so they sent us to the sister hotel. They gave us a room in the other hotel but we were not able to use the amenities on the hotel that we were staying at, which I believe it was unfair. Food was really good but not excellent and the restaurant staff were very friendly. The bartenders at the beach bars were not friendly, probably because they were understaffed; only 2 bartenders at each bar trying to take care of hundreds of people asking for cocktail drinks. With over 400 hotels to choose from I will try another hotel the next time we travel to Cancun."

"My two friends and I stayed at the Oasis Palm for five nights. Upon checking in at the hotel, we were told that we needed to pay an extra $28 per person because we were between the ages of 18 and 25. This was a reasonable charge but it would have been nice to know about it when we booked the trip instead of when we arrived in Cancun with no choice but to pay it. The lobby of the hotel and the pool/restaurant area were nice but those are the only things this hotel has going for it. When we got to the 8th floor where our room was the smell in the hallways was awful. I held my breath from the elevator to the room every time. When we got in our room, the smell wasn't much better. The room itself was small and very muggy, we were hoping to open the windows to alleviate the problem, but lo and behold the windows didn't open, and forget any chance of a balcony. The view from our room was looking right down on the dumpsters for the hotel, not the greatest view to see every morning. The air conditioning system in the room left our room hot and humid or freezing with no in between to be found. There was a rag hanging from our air conditioning vent. During the week the air conditioning leaked all over our room and belongings and when I went downstairs to tell the front desk, they never apologized, just told me they would send someone to fix it. On the second day we were there my one friend began vomiting around 6:30 pm, by 12:30 am that night all three of us were vomiting and having diarrhea. This continued until 4pm the next day and we didn't feel well enough to leave the hotel room until the morning of the 4th day we were there. The only place we ate during our stay was the resort and we avoided the water completely so it had to have been something we ate during our stay at the Oasis Palm. When we told the front desk they told us we would have to fill out a complaint form and they would give it to the manager. We never heard anything back from them after turning it in so we asked the front desk about it when we checked out. They said they had heard no other complaints from other guests so there was nothing they could do for us... We had lost nearly half of our vacation because their restaurant had given us food poisoning and there was nothing they could do. We all speak English and a little Spanish but we found it very hard communicating with the staff at this hotel although many of the guests we came in contact with were also English speaking. I will NEVER stay at any of the Oasis chain again and I recommend you do the same."

"Make sure you tell the taxi service that you are going to the Oasis Palm, there are many hotels named the Oasis! We gave our hotel documents to the taxi attendant and he took us to the wrong hotel, be was very irrated, and expect more $$ for driving us to the Oasis Palm from the Oasis Cancun, even though he wrote the wrong info! Book it charged about $40.00 we paid $36.00 to the hotel and $31.00 to the airport
Good hotel for the price, nice and small easy to get around. Nice pool and beach if you can find a longe chair after 9am. If you dont speak Spanish be prepared to wait, as others behind you in line, who speak Spanish, will be served ahead of you.
We put up the Do Not Disturb sign in our room so the cleaning staff never came into our room, but we just called #6 and within minutes we got fresh towel, water, and coffee.
Used the interact machine on the property and was issued a $500.00 peco note and no one on the resort could make change, so I could not buy anything from the gift shop on our way out of town. A great bell boy even tried to cash it with the staff cashier!
Very nice and so helpful!!! and we really enjoy the taco bar at the pool great!!!"

"Don't know why others think this is a bad hotel. They don't know what they're saying. My kids and I have been going for the last couple of years, and the food is great lots to choose from and fancy ones too. They have a bar and at the same time its a BBQ on the beach. The employees are nice they speak good English and Spanish even French. The place is pretty clean I do recommend oasis palm, and you could get in three different pools. They have many daily activities day and night you won't get bored. We can't wait to go back "

"Oasis Palm Beach is very average in regards to all-inclusive. It is not the worst nor the best I have experienced. Look out for 'scams' in regards to US and Pesos. When you buy a tour (snorkeling, adventure, ruins, etc) they will tell you the price in dollars, but then when they charge your card they will change the funds over to Pesos using an exchange rate that benefits them, not you. Also, when you use the ATM in the lobby, they will use an exchange rate of 15.3 to 1 USD. You will not get that back from your bank. I took out $300 USD and when I checked my account back in the USA it was charged $347. Now, around $12 were fees, but the other $35 was due to the very poor exchange rate. I wish everything was just in Pesos, then they could not take advantage of the tourists. In regards to the room, they will not give you the premium if you pay for it. You have to argue for the premium room. The rooms in the Oasis Palm side that are located right of the front desk have been remodeled and have large flat screen TVs. The rooms in the Oasis Palm to the left of the front desk are not remodeled yet. However, we had room 478 in the left side and the view and king-size bed were wonderful! Most people we have seen reviews on did not get a true king-size bed. Request Rooms ending in 78 or 79 on this side and you will be satisfied. The food is not very good. Breakfast is probably the best because you can always have an omelet made and eat some good fruit and yogurt. Lunch and Dinner at the buffets are less than what you will find at an Old Country Buffet. You will find one or two things that you can eat, but not a lot. The deserts were horrible. Strange, because you can get ice cream during the day outside at a snack cart, but you cannot get ice cream in the buffet area. The resort has three reservation restaurants that are again just average. The best food items are the sushi at the Asian restaurant (lunch or dinner) and the seafood restaurant (lunch or dinner). The Kids Club was very well done and probably was one of the best features of this resort. However, there are a lot of kids around too. If you have kids great, if not sorry. We have a 6 and 8 year old and they both liked spending time in the Kids Club. There have got to be better resorts out there that are available, but I was not the one who chose this one. Find one that has 75% or more positive reviews and 25% or less negative reviews and you will likely not be disappointed. I think the Oasis was more like 50-50 on the positive/negative review ratios. By the way, the best day trips were Snorkeling Adventure that goes out to the Reef National Park and the Catamaran that goes over the Isla Mujereles. SA had the best snorkeling with fish and coral reef. The CAT had the best island and party experience. My least favorite tour was the Coba Ruins adventure through Alltournative. They try to help the Mayan people out by creating a tour experience where they live, but they do not try to make sure you get a high quality experience. It was adequate, but not awesome."

"Loved everything about this resort! The buffets were amazing and the hotel is beautiful! We stayed in the Oasis Caribbean which is attached to Oasis Palm Beach. It is the newer side. The pool is amazing and the beach is perfect for pictures, sports and swimming! It is just like a pool! It is also really close to the night entertainment area of Cancun with all the clubs, and right next to the port where you take the Captain Hook pirate party boat or the boats to Isla Mujeres! I loved Oasis Caribbean and Palm Beach and I plan to go back with friends! "

Make sure you go to yoga and the water aerobics with Angel! He is outgoing, motivating and makes you want to work out on your vacation! This is a great place to go relax, soak up the sun and escape from reality!"
