"We went expecting a quiet vacation, ended up being lots of student groups and partying. Music played in the main pool area from about 10AM - 5 or 6PM, stopped for dinner, then picked up again and went on pretty late some nights.
Because of the large crowds in the pool, we stuck to the beach - a lot more quiet; although could still hear the music. Beach had a lot of cigarette butts on it, otherwise a great place to spend the day.
Service at the restaurants was awesome, they work super hard here. Being at Oasis Cancun, and not the Grand Oasis, you're limited to a few restaurants. Also, the reservation restaurants have a dinky all-inclusive menu and a big menu you can buy off of.
Went on a tour to Coba, was really good and worth the amount."

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is not an all-insulsive resort, and they make you pay for simple things like WATER. The service is so shitty that you prefer to eat off the resort. The bartenders are hot garbage and unless u tip them, then dont expect to get any drinks. You would be better off going to any resort BUT this one. This place is a drag and if I was you I would NOT GO.
I only went for the party scene, but the rest of the resort is soooo bad. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT."

"we took our whole family, kids, grandkids and all for 8 days to oasis cancun. all inclusive, ran out of beer in the whole resort for two days, how does that happen. food was horrible or they ran out of pizza in a itailian resturant.how does that happen. hambugers tasted like compressed spam, and spam was better. ran out of chicken fingers and onion rings at a sportsbar. really! found a cockroach in our bedroom, came home with bites, possible bed bugs. to many people to staff ratio, especially at the swim up bars. would not reccomend this hotel. infact, we had been to playa del carmen before and loved it there. so we probably will never go back to cancun for this very reason. a shame cause cancun looked like a fun city. the view from our room was wonderful. just wish the rest had been. cancun is a no go, and we would not recomend to anyone."

"this was the WORST hotel ever!! by far not a true all inclusive.. the first problem we encountered was during check in. On april 24th myself and my friend tried to check into the hotel only to find out that we were not in the system. The second group that was flying with us also had this problem. The hotel tried to blame us for this. We told them that they were the ones at fault, since the airlines had our booking days right and we got on a plane and that best day travel also had the right days. It took over an hour to get this problem fixed only after the manager with an attitude called . I AM SO MAD at this place. The food was gross, drinks watered down, and bad service. The crowd was a bunch of VERY young and crazy adults, 95% guys. Our room flooded on the last day from a tropical storm and we got nothing out of it but lost item. When we went to tell the front desk we were freaking out about it and all they we were told is to calm down, you do not tell an freaked out person to calm down it makes things worse. The front desk lady then started yelling at me for the way i was acting instead of figuring out a way to clean our room and damaged suitcase.
Side note: BEST DAY TRAVEL ROCKS, oasis cancun should learn customer service from these people .. NEVER BOOKING OR RECOMMENDING THIS HOTEL."

"upon arrival to the hotel was not set up properly, the paperwork was missing my first name at the front check-in desk at the palmer #1 and we were told we had to go to the palmer #2 we walked carrying our luggage to the palmer #2 after carring our luggage agian upon arrival there once again no information, then we were told we had to check in athe grand oasis so we had to leave again carring luggage to the grand, and finally after about an hour and 1/2 the said to go back to plamer #1 to complete the check-in. i was not happy about this at all. No one apologized for the error which i found very unproffessional. Now during the stay at the hotel for 8 days very enjoyable, no complaints at all.
When we boarded the transportaion bus to the airport the driver was supposed to leave us at terminal 3 american airlines but instead left us at terminal 2, we had to seek transportation to terminal 3. Very disatisfied with the arrival and departure. "

"I have to say there is more positive than negative to this hotel. I stay from July 31st thru August 8, 2012. Yes, there is a lot young crowd most of the age of 18 to 20, at the same time there are family. The rooms (exactly as shown in the website) are the right size for a family of four with a nice balcony (5th floor) looking to the pool and ocean from the building above the lobby. The staff cleaning the rooms do take their time by sweeping and then mopping. If you do not read the sign in the bathroom how to have your towels change staff will not change the towels. It is true the lobby, the elevator, and hallways are hot until you open your room door. Remember this is Cancun temp at 90 to 97 degrees. It is good for the people that are wet from the beach or pool and do not have to feel A/C until they reach the room. Restaurants (I did not have the black bracelet): Food was good across the border, breakfast, lunch, and dinner lines depends at what time you arrive. Breakfast best time (Open to 8:30 AM), lunch any time, dinner (Open to 7:15PM) Just like going to a restaurant in any major city. Also, remember some restaurants require 1 day reservation. Drinks: There was no problem to order drinks in the resort. If, you want a strong drink ask the bartender or point to add more liquor. Yes, you have to make a line to get drinks just like any place in the world. Music: If you like music it should not bother you. The club next to the lobby closes at Midnight. Is the music loud of course its a club! Sliding door shut and TV on you will hear some sounds. The pool was being clean by 6 people inside the pool at night (9 PM), security by the beach, around the pool, in each building, at the door of the club, and at lobby. Check in was fast (15 minutes with processing the paperwork) I arrived at 4:30 PM. There was two lifeguard at the beach plus there is flag pole to indicate where you should swim. The beach has no rocks, soft sand, and clear water (if there is no waves). It is true when it rains it also rains in the room. The floor got at least 1/2' of water and some of the walls had water dripping, however, this was during Hurricane Ernesto which brought heavy down pour. If you rent a car the hotel is easy to get there from the airport to post marker 16.5 KM avoiding the traffic from the city (see map)."

"I guess I brought it upon myself since the price should've given away it's quality, I also decided to ignore the bad reviews giving this hotel the benefit of the doubt. I'll start off by the horrible check in experience. Yes, the hotel states the rooms are available at 3pm but at least make the expected wait more comfortable by adding some kind of ventilation to the lobby. I suppose they expected guests to forget about the heat and wait by enjoying in the all inclusive, except the decent drink I wanted/needed was nothing but water, sugar and maybe some food coloring. For some reason I expected the room to be worth such an uncomfortable wait, boy was I wrong... I was surprised with clogged bath tub, water that smelled like it came from a fishy pond, feather pillows which smelled like theyd been washed using the same water and left to dry tied up inside a plastic bag; oh also waking up to a huge dying roach on my flip flop (I have the picture to prove it), and bathroom full of Mosquitos. My brothers and I tried excusing everything from a poor water system in Cancun to the fact that we were staying on the first floor. But as we continued with our day by relaxing by the pool we ran out of excuses. The pools are pretty disgusting, unless you're into swimming in a slimmy pool due to bodily fluids from humans of ALL ages and/or the hotel's poor maintenance. The reason for the CAPS is because I didnt understand how could a parent dip an infant in the same pool as a bunch of drunk young adults who obviously cant locate a restroom. There is one bar by the pool that literally smells of wet dogs. Seriously. Please take my advice and DO NOT STAY HERE. And if you absolutely must, then I recommend taking the upgraded rooms else you'll find yourself getting kicked out of restaurants and bars for not having the appropriate bracelet color (ALL inclusive?). Anywho, you're getting this from a young frequent traveller on a budget on a 4th visit to Cancun. From now on I'll stay away from any Oasis. Most personel were really friendly so I'll give credit where its due (personal does not include bartenders). Oh yeah, expect long lines for sugar water drinks, eating, to check in and even to check out! Stay away!!"

"My family arrived in the Oasis later in the evening and when we got to our room we were shocked with the repulsive smell and water from rain on the floor. After first night we were moved to other room which was not better. The web site promised many restaurants we could eat at. This is complete lie. There were only two buffets on each side of the complex. The wait staff was outright rude to us when we did not tip them. If the sushi bar is consisting of standing on the side of the bar outside and waiting for one roll of sushi per person than be it. But please advise us of this. Other restaurants consisted of hot dog stand by the pool. With two small children this was suppose to be our time to rest. Instead one of adults had to stand in line for the buffet, which lasted from 30 to 45 minutes. Children activities were not clearly advertised and the staff spoke little English. Also this hotel is for young adults and not family. There was loud noise till wee hours every day. The pool area smelled of the beer and other spilled drinks."

"Loud music until 2 or 3 AM every night. We began and paid for a room overlooking the ocean, which also overlooks the main pool and the DJ stand. After 2 nights we changed rooms to face inland so that we were on the opposite side of the building so that some of the music was blocked and was a little quieter. The rooms were ok, nothing special but did the trick. It rained one night while we were there and the balcony outside our room flooded and water came into the room. When we called to get this fixed and cleaned up we were told 'that happens all the time and there is nothing that we can do about it.' So we walk around in water for a few days and try not to slip and fall? It sounds crazy, but that is what happened? The A/C went out multiple times during our week long stay, and we learned from another couple as we were checking out that it was not just our room but the entire property. The restaurant food was ok, the pizza place was probably the best food we had. The buffet is exactly the same every night and was not very good. We saw a ROACH on the food on one occasion. When we pointed it out to an employee, he simply picked it off with his fingers and LEFT THE FOOD it was walking on there at the buffet for someone else to eat. Overall, that staff was rude and unfriendly. They acted as if I was a bother and inconveniencing then with any question or even getting a beer or a drink from the bar. I believe in tipping, even when the resort advertises that it is not necessary. But I like to tip at the end of the evening, when I am getting ready to leave the pool bar, or leave the restaurant. If I did not tip after the first drink I was overlooked and glared at in some instances from the employees working. As if it was my job to give them a dollar after each drink instead of tipping more at the end of the evening. The staff friendliness and efficiency was very terrible. I got cut off walking around the resort more by employees then other people staying at the resort, like where they had to go was more important then me. As a guest, I should not have to stop to let a staff member cut in front of me. Either that or get ran into. I would NEVER return or recommend to anyone! I have stayed at a few other all-inclusive resorts and it is well worth the extra $100-$200 to stay at a resort that is much nicer and has staff that is much better. Do not fall for the slightly lower price, IT IS NOT WORTH IT!"

"One word to describe this place... HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! I cant even believe this hotel!
The first day I got there I thought it would be a great hotel because when you first walk into the hotel its so nice but as soon as you get to the front desk everything went down hill from there. First of all, the staff members had attitudes that were really unpleasant. Second of all, I was standing in line with my family to check in and it took us over 30 minutes just to get someone to help us to check in. And not only that but when we got there (2:30 p.m.) they made us get our key at 3 o'clock. What hotel makes you wait till 3 to check in and get your key for your room?? They told us that we can go eat lunch while our room was getting ready and they told us it would only take 30 minutes for our room to be ready. We had to drag around our suit cases around the hotel just to find a restaurant. Even though they had nice restaurants the staff would take forever just to come to our table and take our order and give us our food. 50 mins later we come back and go to the front desk to see if our room was ready but nope it was not! We were waiting on the stairs for an extra 50 mins to an hour for our room! And when we got to our room (around 5) we found a whole bunch of problems! Everything was smelly, dirty, and nasty! When we saw the sheets on the bed there were stains all over them! I wanted to throw up! The first day was a total nightmare! My whole family was stressed! When we got to the pool it was like a spring break/club place! People drunk everywhere you looked the pool even stunk of alcohol! When I wanted to get a drink for the whole family it took me over 10 mins to get 1 drink and when I wanted to get more the employee yelled at me and said 'only 2 per person or you give me 2 pesos!!' I was shocked! I told him it was for my family and he responded by saying 'they need to come in line to get a drink!'
At night you can barely go to sleep because of the club that is downstairs.
This was a nightmare! NEVER COME HERE!!!!
We went to all the shows and some of the restaurants they had and it was great!"

"STAFF
The staff were not helpful at all. Our room was not ready when we checked in. We had to wait an additional 3 hours. When we asked to speak to the supervisor, they said they were too busy to talk with us. They did not credit us anything. The staff rarely answered any questions and always seemed to busy to help us out.
CLEANLINESS
Our rooms were cleaned on a daily basis but our sheets were not washed ever. We saw the same stains on them. We stayed 5 days. Makes me wonder about the rest of the place.
RECOMMENDATION
go To the grand oasis instead of the oasis cancun. It is a little more money but it is worth it. You get what you pay for."

"Got to our room ...no refigerator which i thought there was gonna be one. Balcony door lock was broken...went to call about it ... phone did not work ...walked down to the desk and someone came to fix the door and the phone ....phone got fixed... they screwed a bolt behind the balcony door where we couldn't even get on the balcony...called back to the desk and they finally did come fix the door. Went to take a shower and tub stopped up ....water almost up to our knees. Hair dryer did not work. Many of the resturants on the list were not open when the list said. No wash cloths unless I ran a maid down and asked for them .... went to the desk and complained for 3 days in a row and they did nothing to please us. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. ITS BAD.. I have vacationed for 30 years and never had this much trouble .... DONT STAY HERE :)"

"This is my 2nd trip to cancun. Had a great time. Got to give a great review to the waiter in the buffet resteraunt. A real great guy and excellent worker. The hotel was nice. Room was always clean. Staff wasn't overly pushy with the activities. Bartenders were polite and attentive. Great nitelife at the up and down club and coyote club. Food was average for an all inclusive resort. Overall had a great time and would definitely return for another stay. Great party hotel. Leave your kids at home."

"so let it begin, we arrived to the hotel I'm sorry we arrived at the first part of the hotel and unloaded our baggage the bellhop was unable to locate a reservation and told us that we needed to go to the next oasis(aka the next section) solo to the bag back up and drove about two blocks down to the next section got out there was informed that they still could not find our reservations, so we drove to the next section which was the final section we were told that they could not find a reservations but it was not a problem we waited in line for 20 to 30 min. while they scrambled around look through paperwork we look through paperwork pushed keys on the keyboard effective for us to pop up in their reservation system, finally they just recommended that my credit card down as a security until the reservations was located. You pay five dollars a day for lock for the safe and $10 a day if you want Internet in your room if you pay by credit card. The room words can't describe even the motel sixes were in better condition and cleaner than this room, the doorknob was practically ripped out of the door had to screw the screws back in because it was wobbling loose, the air-conditioning was not working, finally got the system to work but the unit was almost falling off the wall it was able to produce a small minimal amount of cold air, two towels in your room no washcloth. We ate in the little diner serves hamburgers we waited for over 30 min. while all the staff and the manager in charge talked, laughed and walked around, I noticed several people get up and leave people also went over and asked them where they need to place the order and they were told several be with him shortly I asked the guy after you walk past a several times where I needed to place an order for food and he said it's only with me shortly even when over-the-counter and I did stared at him while he argued with another guy on whose tables were where and who was in charge of what sections, the food was horrid in this location about 45 min. a new guy came over to our table and asked is what will what we need ordered the food and that's the last time we saw him. The beaches were nice very packed I enjoyed the day at the lifeguards on duty in each section watching the waters and making sure people don't go out to far. The vendors up and down the location of the beach are efficient drug traffickers yes that's what I said supply and demand I guess. We checked in this hotel for two days but only stayed one night, I located a reddish stains on my bed sheet and decided that was it we were leaving the next day even though I still paid for an additional night. When I checked out I inform them that I was not happy and informed of all the things that were wrong in the room the lady produced a large book and asked me to sign and date and write down what was wrong, I noticed that the seven entries above me all indicated air-conditioning and room conditions in their complaint. Needless to say I will not be returning to this resort nor will I ever recommend this resort to anyone.I see there's different reviews from a lot of different people regards this hotel I can only speak for what my experience was with this hotel"

"We have stayed at Cancun all inclusives before and had a wonderful time Oasis Cancun has nice grounds, pool and staff (excluding the Registration folks). The resort was very disorganized when it came to the rooms. We had a group of 10 with 4 rooms reserved for us. The day of our arrival we were to check in at 3p. Around 5p we were finally given 3 of the 4 rooms all in seperate buildings and floors. Room 1 was acceptable. Room 2 had at least an inch of water sitting across the whole floor. Room 3 had occupents sleeping in the bed. My in-laws were walked up to room 4 and told the keys would be brought up 'soon' - they never came back. After a few more hours of pleading and arguing with the front desk rooms 2, 3 and 4 were all given one room and told it may be in shape for guests. It was 'good enough' at that point. We gave this one to my in-laws while they continued to look for the two more rooms we had reserved and paid for months in advance. After 8.5 hours at 11:30p they ended up putting 6 of us in a taxi to their 'downtown Oasis Smart' location and we were told the next day they would be ready for us with rooms, VIP bracelets for the whole group and a free rental car for the remainder of our trip. The next day they acted like they didn't know anything about what we went through the previous day. We even had to fight with them to get them to reimburse us for the Taxi $$ and they still didn't have rooms for us. They gave us some new bracelets after sometime and told us to come back at 3p. The whole time they continnued checking in other guests as they were arriving. At 3p they told me 45 more minutes were needed. Around 4:15 we finally got two more rooms and they were dry and not inhabited. We left our belongings in one room and went to the pool. After swimming for a bit I see a bellhop taking all my belongings including my wife's purse across the resort (lucky I saw him otherwise they never would have located our stuff. I made him return with me to our room and sort this out. Turns out another guest asked to have their belongings moved and their records showed that guy in my room so they just took our stuff. At the same time our kids were in their room while we were at the pool and another group of Americans had keys and came into their room to check in. We ended up keeping these two rooms anyway because we had no where else to go. We slept with furniture in front of the door because you never knew when someone else would be given your room. Back at the front desk the following day we asked them to list the four rooms we had been given because we knew they wouldn't be able to. It took 2 manager, 2 staff, 2 computers, a stack of papers and an hour for them to list the four rooms they believed we were in. They actually listed 5 because two they were't sure of. We spent easily 12 hours the first two days at the front desk - never got VIP or the rental they promised as a way to appologize for the situation so I asked for money back. They told me that they have agreements with travel agencies and only the booking company can issue refunds. I am still looking into that now. We had the same rooms the remainder of the time. There were wires hanging out, broken things in every room (hairdryer, safe, etc..) our 'VIP' rooms only had 19' tube TV's (the other two rooms had nice big flat screens but many other deficiencies). I will NEVER consider staying at an 'Oasis' hotel again. They offered us vouchers to stay for free in the future but I WILL not return to this mess again. "Where do I begin. My family arrived at this hotel... the hotel DIDN'T have our reservations. The hotel said they didnt have any information on our arrival. It took me close to 3 hours to get a room after showing them my reservations on several occasions. After finally receveing a room the room had a foul odor to it. I complained so many times and was informed. My son graduation trip was ruined."

"My friend and I stayed at the Oasis Cancun for a 5-day vacation in June. Checking in was relatively easy, although we waited for around 25-30 minutes. We were pleasantly surprised that we had been upgraded (for free) to stay at the Oasis Grand. The rooms were spacious and clean. The property and beach were beautiful and relatively well maintained. The staff was a little on the slow and unattentive side, but that is to be expected in a packed resort. Traveling in June can be iffy because of hurricane weather, but we were lucky to enjoy perfect weather the entire trip. The food at the resort varied from restaurant to restaurant. Although I would recommend getting the black bracelets so you can go to every restaurant on the property. All in all, I would recommend this resort. I would recommend to college kids, young couples, and older couples looking to have a good time. I would not recommend to families as it does not provide a ton of family-friendly options."

"Tired of people talking bad about this hotel. This hotel is a good hotel. Many good places to eat and the people at the hotel were fantastic. The air conditioner in the room was great. The lobby is not air conditioned, because it is open air. If you complain about that, you need to go somewhere else, like the Hilton in Orlando. Probably not a hotel to take the kids. This hotel seemed to be more fit to the 18 to 25 crowd. It is also a great place to take your spouse for a vacation. The pool water was very clean and the beach was very clean also. We would recommend this hotel highly"

"The hotel was older, but clean; however, the 'spring break' type crowds were unbearable--screaming in the halls..., banging on our door at all hours of the night. Behavior among the younger crowd and employees was like a R rated movie playing non-stop throughout the week. DO NOT take your children. I even got food poisoning at the Mex restaurant."

"the room we stayed dirty... the drawer was dusty... the pool rusty.... the bathroom was lame...there was no bathtub .. the bathroom ceiling was... horrible... every time we open the door... it made .... scary noise .....all of the negative things that we can say about this hotel... we would. we would recommend all of my friends NOT to stay at this hotel... the price is about the same with other hotel @ Cancun however... they're really SUCK!! the variety of food ... was... nothing. we ate the same food every day that we stayed (4 nights) ...
People if you read this comment before you book your hotel... please go with other hotel... even if you have to pay a little extra! I tell you it worth it!.. it will not if you save couple bucks to stay at Oasis Cancun!!

"no air conditioning in the lobby while trying to check in was most unpleasant. Waiting on an elevator was also not much fun, since there are only 2 for the whole building. garbage floated in the pool. towel hut closed early so we couldn't return towels until the morning we left, so we had to carry wet pool towels while trying to get luggage, camera etc to the lobby. one day we didn't even get maid service. the air conditioning never got below 78 degrees in our room. i won't go back there, for sure."

"If you are not in the age group of 18-25 I would not suggest it, but if you are... It was a great time! The hotel gets terrible reviews from older people, but for anyone looking for a great budget party hotel, this is the place to go... Make sure you tip for even better service and hang out by the party pool.
Families should go to Grand Oasis or find another hotel..."

"Not a very Family Friendly place, we felt like we were at a college frat party. Drunk people passed out in the hallway, 4:30 in the morning they were up & down the halls screaming, playing music, just not a very good experience. Called the front desk 3 nights in a row for an extra pillow & towels & never got them. "

"Was not impressed - knew that the place was Spring Break hang out for college kids, but figured early summer would be less so. Incorrect assumption - just as many college aged kids acting like college aged kids at the beginning of June as there would be during the middle of March. Unless you are under the age 25 - stay away. Great beach, but that was the extent of what I was satisfied with. Spend more on a better property"

"Pros: A lot of pool space, places to eat, and bars. A good view of the ocean and a good value.nnCons: Basic rooms, VERY poor customer service. Workers cut you off because they think they have somewhere better to go (maybe?). Very rude. Must buy water!! Not given to you as needed. One bottle a day, most of the time. Cockroach on the buffet. A/C went out on multiple occasions, 10 English speaking TV stations, when it rains water came in the room and soaked the floor. We changed rooms because the first room's water in the shower drastically changed from freezing cold to scolding hot (too hot to stand in, then would get burned). The same loud, obnoxious music played from 9 A.M. until 2 A.M. If you can get to the 'quiet side' of the resort you can sort of block it out enough to actually relax, but very difficult. 'Preformers' walked around all day acting like dancers or silly characters like a fly and buzz in your face, very annoying. No sort of tour or guidance at all about what the resort had to offer. nn I will never go back here, and would never recommend to anyone I care about. My wife and I have been to a few all inclusive resorts, and for the extra couple of hundred dollars, it is easy to find a much nicer place that would be much more enjoyable. "

"we honeymooned in cancun 5 years ago, and decided to go back for our 5 year anniversary, but not at the same hotel. The resort is good quality, u get what you paid for, yes it is loud at times, but that is something to expect. There were several places to eat during the day and evening. We do not drink alcohol so I have no comment about the drinks, however there were plenty of ppl having a good time that were drinking, so I can't imagine the drinks were terrible. We had one day without hot water, but it soon returned the next day. We had no problems with the hotel, if you complain about the food or drinks about this place then maybe you should have spent a little more money and upgraded to a different hotel."

"Great for partying close to downtown bars for the nightlife. I would upgrade to the grand next time for the nights you wanna sleep as the older building is pretty loud all night. A part of the resort is great for drinks and having a good time, loud decent music. If you wanna have a good time with friends, good place to go, but for the younger kids not the greatest."

"So I came here for spring break, but it was a week after everyone elses spring break because my school has a late break. What I would recommend is to stay at the GRAND...my friends stayed at Grand...you get into more restaurants and are available to more activities....also you get room service that gives you bottled water and food...the only thing Room Service gave me was new towels...the all inclusive wasn't bad b/c you get to drink and eat all day, but dont expect top quality...the drinks did not taste good at all, and it takes a while to even get a buzz....the food is edible but nothing fancy...If i could do it again i probably would buy a bottle of liquor or 2 from duty free when i got there and drink that for the week i stayed....overall it was still fun, but definitely stay at Grand."

"Ok. This was the worst experience I have ever had on vacation. We had problems from the very first day. Very unfriendly staff. I as the adult chaperone for four spring break girls (college age) would not have believed it if I did not see it for myself. The treatment of young college kids was horrible. They were treated like cattle. No regard to their safety. My girls were on first floor room. The door never locked. We had an open peep hole to see right into their room. I spent the entire first day trying to get someone there to fix the door. I asked for a new room for the girls. They said it was fixed but the door never worked all the time. Sometimes it would work with key and sometimes not. We reported this every day and they did not write the report down in their books because they thought we were being too picky. When the girls key would not work they would jiggle the door handle and it would pop open. Wow I said that is not good. Told staff again what was happening. They said we will try to fix. I said we need to move them. They said no more rooms available. I told girls to put all tables and their luggage in front of the door when they went to sleep. That way they would hear if someone tried to get in. They were scared the entire vacation. Then, their room was robbed. There was no forced entry and we know that the housekeeping staff and maintenance staff knew that their door was faulty. This was a theft by the hotel staff. The girls lost all cell phones, i-pods, computers, jewelry, all their US cash, one girls backpack with all her information and her PASSPORT! It was a nightmare. My biggest concern was trying to get a new passport in one day. Imposible in Mexico. No help from the hotel. Had to file a report with the Mexican police who did not speak english. At least very little. When girls finished with their theft report they said they would investigate the hotel. They never did. We left police department and heard them laughing at us. We went to the US Embasy to also get no help. They could not get passport in time for flight out as well and they did not have an english speaking person there all day. We said we would come back when the english speaking person was there. They told us the time to come and when we got there they had left for the day. We went one hour earlier than our appointment to find them gone. Finally, I decided to just go to the airport to find out what we needed to do and they were by far the most helpful in this entire situation. I would not recommend the hotel. I am happy that I was the chaperone because they did not give the young people any respect. The only reason I got respect is because I did not back down and stayed in their face for two full days. It was not a pleasant experience. I did come out of it a lot smarter and the girls will be fully prepared for their next vacation. Do not recommend this hotel to young people. They have no regard for their safety. The kids mean nothing to them."

"Very reasonably priced deal, but ur not getting what is advertised. This day and age,Wi-fi should be free as well as safety deposit box. There are fees for that. The buffet is great for breakfast but they run out of food and condiments fast!! No cream cheese or no bacon! The lunch and dinner food was always cold and kitchen staff was never around for assistance. The waiters are great in helping but some did not speak English . You would think hotel staff would speak or understand English . Thank god I traveled with a bi lingual friend!! They suggested us to go to the Isles mall, but failed to tell us the hours. We moved rooms 2x due to their error. They are also stingy about pool towels. There is really only 3 restaurants. The other 2 they mention are pool/ beach huts that is the bar on one side and a grill on the other. Very misleading. Also, we had no running water one morning and the lights out in the halls twice. The main lobby lost power as well and they had no apology for anything or suggestions to make the stay more accommodating the entertainment and pool staff were very nice and friendly.. They suggested fun things to do and see in town and made the trip fun!, Oasis viva should thank them for showing the guests a great fun time. If ur looking for fun and do not care about the hotel this is perfect for you!

"What a total dump this place was! Dirty Dirty Dirty! No AC in common areas so if you visit here, get ready to sweat like a pig! Dirty sheets on bed, had to call housekeeping a few times to bring a clean set of linens, something without hair or stains on them. Ridiculous! Didn't get to check in at 3PM, had to wait in the hot lobby an additional 2 hours to get our room. Disappointed with the hotel although Cancun is beautiful, place was below standard."

"Well for starters I have never been to an all inclusive but I sure do know that this is not the way to do it. This hotel first off has 2 elevators available to public to transpost to different floors where they have so many visitors so the wait for the elevators was horrible. Furthermore the first night as we slept it was raining, the water came into the room from the terrace it looked like we had our private pool in the terrace overflowing into our room with our belongings. At 2AM the Manager on duty decide to move us around the hotel through 3 different rooms, one smelled like cigarrete smoke, one the AC wasn't working the third was the final we were so tired at the point that we decided to stay there with the AC blowing as a fan and '1' King size bed with a slight division in the middle. I believe that he should have upgraded us to a better room, in order to correct our inconvenience, here we are on vacation, and they are cutting into my rest time. The next day reception calls to make sure everything was ok I proceed to tell them that the AC is still not working they state they would send someone in an hour no one came. They later state that the AC issue was all across the hotel which was not the case we had another party in another room who had AC all throught our stay. The restaurants were ok, however, the one Mexican restaurant in the premise took so long to serve the food it was not even warm when it came to the table. You would think that national beverages would include Jose Cuervo, Hornitos, Corona's.. no you are wrong. I believe this was the cheaper version of national drinks. To top it off who on vacation goes to sleep early? midnight everything closes down food, night clubs, and all. So with all this being said I will never go back or recommend it neither."

"I am 22 years old, it was my first time in Mexico with my boyfriend. I must say we were very disappointed. We had a standard room and once we arrived we found many problems with our room. First of all our shower was broken, second we found a roach in the bathroom. The room was very poor the wall was chipped and old. We complained and they changed our room to the ocean room view. The room seemed okay but after the second day our air condition broke and the beds were very uncomfortable. Also our key stopped working at some point. The hotel in general is okay. The beach was beautiful although we spend most of our day by the pool. The food was okay but most of the restaurants were fully packed. My boyfriend got sick after day three which was most likely from the food. The hotel definitely needs major renovating especially the rooms. The people were friendly, one good thing about the resort is that it is not to far from the club scene area if you are young. Also you can actually leave the resort and explore a bit. Make sure to do some activities such as zip lining, that was fun. Oh and the shopping mall was nice too. Overall we had a great time together but we will NEVER return to this resort again. Trust me you might as well pay a bit more and stay somewhere clean and pleasant."

"The staff at the Oasis Cancun was wonderful. Outdoors the beach, pool and grounds were beautiful.
The hotel was full of '20 'year olds that were very loud and drunk into the early am.
The room was awful!!!! The shower was clogged so spray was minimal. no amenities as far as a clock in the room, no refridgerator, the picture shows a bedside lamp....non existant..Our room leaked soaking some of our shoes, we called front desk and they sent someone who said ' ill let them know'..never heard back.
The advertisement states use of all the restaurants which is not true, there were quite a few not included on the information given to us that we could use!!"

"I was very disappointed with the poor service at this resort, the place is run down, dirty, food was terrible. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Upon arrival we had to find our way to our room and then wait for over an hour to get our luggage delivered from the lobby, the phone didnt work so i had to go back downstairs to get help. Had to practically beg for the one bottle of water they give you per day, and good luck if you need an extra pillow or towels. They don't tell you until you arrive that you have to pay a fee for a key to the safe. You are not allowed to eat in the restraunt at the grand oasis. There is wifi but you have to pay for that and use their computers in the lower level of the grand oasis. I feel there was a great mos representation by this resort and think that Bookit.com should drop them from their list of places to stay. My experience with Bookit.com and best day travel were both positive and I will use them again, but stay away from Oasis Cancun!"

"We checked into hotel at 2:45 and after 4 attempts and 7 hours our 2nd room of 2 was finally cleaned and ready to go. The rooms were sub standard with old and leaky bathroom fixtures. The food was horrible and the restaurant choices limited since we had not paid for the 'Grand' builing. The drinks were watered down and entertainment was limited. Staff were friendly and nice and although housekeeping took forever to get the room ready the first night was efficient thereafter. Bottled water was not available and many things promised to be included in the 'all inclusive' were not. This was our second time in Cancun and we certainly dissapointed when our experience was not what we expected compared to the first one. I would highly recommend Cancun as a vacation spot but just not at this hotel. We will return in February for another week stay since the vacation spot is beautiful but will definitely never stay at Oasis again."

"1. It took us 5 hours to get the room.
2. When we go to the room the key was not working.
3. They reset the key and was still not working.
4. They brought some machines and tools to open the door and replace battery for
the key machine of the door.
5. We waited for at least an hour outside the room.
6. We begged for new rooms but they kept saying no rooms available.
7. We asked if they can compensate in anyways, they said they can't do anything.
8. Later they said they will give us a suite as an upgrade. But it was not a suite room. Room # 3215. Two adults guys had to share the same bed. By that time we were just tired of complaining and gave up hope.
9. We also begged them to call the supervisor at the reception so that we could ask for some kind of compensation, but they said supervisor is busy and can't see any one. R U KIDDING ME! What about customer satisfaction???????????????????????????????????
I have traveled to over dozen countries but never had this bad of an experience.
Was very disappointed!!!

"This was the best vacation EVER. The staff was very attentive of their guests, very helpful and friendly. There are fantastic tours available in which you have plenty to choose from, varies from romance to family fun or a good time with friends. The hotel was fabulous, the pools, the buffets, the entertainment etc. Thank you everyone at Oasis for making my short vacation everything that I hoped it to be. It was so much fun and i will be booking a flight back there soon (I HOPE). This was just perfect. If anyone has to pick a place to vacation, do pick this one. It will surely be a great time."

"I was a little afraid of this place after reading many reviews, but Cancun is beautiful and everyone was very friendly, and the resorts pools and beach were gorgeous. The hotel is very nice for the price. The 3 pool bars were a lot of fun with very personable bartenders and we met so many nice people. The food isn't the best, but again for the price, it was fine. This time of year is very quiet down there, which was fine for us older folks that just wanted to relax. I wouldn't go near the place during spring break. Don't let the bad reviews stop you from taking a very affordable vacation. "

"My Husband and I just returned from the Oasis for our one year wedding anniversary yesterday. Overall it was a nice resort and great for the price. The food is ok, not bad and not great. Only the rooms and the bathrooms within the resort are air-conditioned; the lobby and restaurants are NOT. However, there was a decent breeze to where it wasn't a big deal. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, be sure to tip them! The Oasis and The Grand Oasis are the same resort, and the only difference is that the Grand Oasis guests have more restaurants to choice from and a lounge with internet access. Note, you do have to wear wristbands! The evening shows and entertainment was not great, but during the day the staff tries to keep people involved with pool and beach activities. Not particualrly a resort that I'd recommend for families with kids or couples looking for romance. Since it's in downtown Cancun there's a lot of single, party-people. Very nice beach and beautiful, huge pools. Plenty of lounge chairs and cabannas. Again, overall it was a good resort for the money and I would go again."

"This was not our first time to Oasis Cancun, however this was the most relaxing, quiet time. The resort was at low capacity, but we felt it gave us more individualized attention. Throughout our stay we received wonderful, friendly service. The rooms, pool areas, and grounds were clean and well attended. The nighttime entertainment was ok, Casino night was our favorite, and highly recccomended. All of our meals at the restaurants were pleasant, with extra special touches. (Mayan Coffee service, live mariachi band) Our favorite meal was at the Sushi place, not only for the food, but the ambiance and atmosphere.
Like a previous reviewer mentioned, one of the highlights of our trip was the opportunity to release the baby sea turtles into the sea. This was truly a memorable experience that I felt added alot of value to our trip.
We would definitely return to the Oasis Cancun."

"My daughter and I went on our annual vacation and decided on Cancun, this was a first for both. We loved it, we had such a great time. The food was amazing, the service in the restaurants was incredible. The best part was no reservation was required at the restaurants, we were able to walk in and we were greeted with open arms. The rooms were average, but it didn't bother us since we spent very little time there. My daughter and I plan on going back next year. Thanks Bookit for making this experience a memorable one!!!!!!"

"The food and service of all the restaurant are excellent, check the Brasilian restaurant first. The top floor (5th floor) rooms are better than the lower floors but at the same time the roof sky lights have some water leaks and can be a slip hazard.
The house keeping is excellent and the shows are average. All the staff is excellent with the exception of the front desk. If you are looking for good tours prices and serice, do not use Best Day company. "

"We spent 7 days at Oasis Cancun, and from day one, everything was perfect. The service, the people everybody was ready for anything or everything you need.
The food was great, the pool incredible, and the beach. I have no words.
We were lucky to be there when the sea turtles came out to lay their eggs and being able to put the newborns into the ocean one by one in our children's hands. That alone made the trip out of this world, for us and our kids.
The whole experience was amazing. I like the fact that I was able to spend time with my family, this is not a place where you sign your kids in and forget about them for the whole day, instead it's very family oriented. Love it! Planning to go back for sure, Thank you to all staff at Oasis Cancun, you made our trip even more spectacular.
