My boyfriend and i stayed from April 24- May 3rd.We upgraded to an ocean view for $30 a day..awesome view of the sunrise, the beach was beautiful plenty of papalas. Hugo the bartender was outstanding, David the waiter in The Albatross restaurant was the best. The girls at the hostess stands should be more friendly, the food was the same everyday but good .We had a wonderful time.

Took a long weekend trip to Cancun. Had a wonderful time. You will be pressured by the tour information folks when coming out of customs. They are everywhere and don't like it when you say no. Transportation area was not organized even with a private car it took them nearly 30 minutes to get to us. The hotel Flamingo Resort we stayed in was central on the hotel zone. There are some hotels/resorts that cater to all budgets from Marriott to Secrets to RUI Palace - lots to choose from and the ... Read more

We arrived at the resort early. They did allow us to check in, but did not have a room ready. We were able to check our suitcase and get our wristband and begin our vacation. The staff here is very friendly. The pools are lovely. The bartenders are friendly. The food at the buffet is ok. The food at the restaurant is better. There were 2 theme nights during our stay with a buffet and entertainment. The entertainment was very good. We liked that we could see a show and not leave the resort. We we... Read more

I spent 3 days at The Flamingo Hotel in Cancun. It is not the swankiest property in the Hotel Zone, but it was more tag nice enough for me. They take excellent care of the building, and you can see how hard they work to do their best. I paid $143 per night, all inclusive (Expedia), and everything was better than expected. At the end of the day, the staff here is what blew me away. I admire their teamwork and they all seemed happy to be there. I recommend this hotel if you want a great value in a... Read more

This was our first time at this resort and there were things we really liked about this place, but a few things that would make me think twice about going back. Let's start with the pros: the price was great, the room was wonderful, the resort was on the smaller size and we enjoyed that aspect, the beach was awesome, and Ismael at the bar by the pool overlooking the ocean was the BEST!!! Ismael went above and beyond and is a wonderful asset to the resort. He was friendly and went out of his way ... Read more

I'm currently writing this review while sitting at the swim up bar! My boyfriend and I have been here since June 9th and we're leaving tomorrow. I could honestly say I enjoyed my stay at flamingo but you definitely get what you pay for. The food is okay. If you're a picky person I would not recommend coming here. But for everyone else, I can promise that out of every meal you'll find one or two things you'll like. It's not a big variety of food but it's different every day. Pros: The hotel is ... Read more

Stayed for 4 nights. Beach is lovely & warm. Comments:- - Air con malfunctions, vanity leak & construction noise marked our first 2 nights. The construction noise went all night & when raised with the manager he denied it was occurring, but later we saw where concreting was being done near our room. Why deny/lie? Just apologise & try to restrict to certain hours. Customers don't like being hoodwinked - especially when on holidays. - Tourists pay a 16% government tax and then 10 or 15% service... Read more

I enjoyed my stay-3 nights and 4 days. The staff was very friendly and after 1 night our waiter knew our names. The meals were good. The only criticisms are that the waiters are slow refilling drinks including coffee. Occasionally the table was missing a utensil or napkin. The criticisms for the room are: no coffee pot, no wash clothes (day 1), could not connect to Internet and drawers would not slide in. The room was clean but has seen better days. My brother and I stayed at the flamingo for a week starting June 9 2016. The food was great in the al la carte restaurant, special thanks to David, Jorge and alberto. We spent our time by the pool overlooking the ocean. The bar staff there were excellent. Rooms were always very clean. We are both seniors , but people of all ages were there. This was our first trip to Mexico and we absolutely loved this. We got a heck of a deal and figured we would give it a go. The place was very very clean and the staff was fantastic. We arrived well before our checkin time but it was never an issue. We were given our bracelets and run of the place until we could get into our room. Its a very nice place specially for the price. I think you get the most for your money. They have everything you need close by and the great beach front is a few feet away. The pool was always clean and they never forgot my room either. Overall a great place to stay.
