The resort has a reception with lounge bar, several fine dining and specialty restaurants, snack bar by the pool, sports bar and nightclub. The expansive grounds include a uniquely-designed pool, including children´s pool, terrace and pool bar. Lounge chairs, umbrellas and beach towels are complimentary. There is also a children´s playground.

The 306 guestrooms come with private shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan, hairdryer, telephone, cable TV, safety deposit box and minibar. All rooms boast a terrace and hammock, perfect for relaxing any time of the day.

All meals at the buffet-style restaurant are included, as well as guaranteed reservations twice a week at one of the specialty restaurants. All snacks and drinks, including domestic and imported alcoholic beverages and selections from the minibar, are included. Entry to the nightclub and Star Friends activities are complimentary.

The resort boasts a variety of entertainment and activities, including sports, competitions, games, and shows in the evening. The resort also offers Lucy´s Mini-Club where children ages 4-12 can enjoy a variety of fun, supervised activities, including games, singing and painting.

This resort has an array of sports and outdoor activities for guests to enjoy, including windsurfing, kayaking, catamaran-sailing, tennis, aerobics, dance classes, water polo, volleyball and other beach games. There is also a scuba clinic offered in the swimming pool. Billiards and table tennis are also available.

Here, at the CDC PADI Gold Palm Resort Dive Center, various diving courses from beginner to instructor levels are offered to guests. There are also courses for local dives and night dives for those who are certified, as well as cenote diving. Equipment rental, snorkel tours and courses are also available.

SPA & Wellness: This newly renovated spa offers a wide selection of massages and beauty treatments, as well as boasting an open-air Jacuzzi.

El Cedral Steakhouse - An a la carte steakhouse and grill, the dress code is formal and reservations are required.

El Sarape- An la carte Mexican specialty restaurant with a formal dress code, reservations are required. Men must wear long pants.

International Buffet - The main restaurant, featuring a display kitchen and a buffet with show cooking - surprising, delicious and exquisite. Dress is casual and Bermuda shorts are permitted.

Palapa Grill and Snack Bar - Serving snacks and grilled items during the day.

Men are required to wear pants for dinner dining.

Only a 2 minute walk to On Site Dive Shop, & the longest boat ride to a dive site was maybe 10 minutes. Excellent location. The other 5 non divers had plenty to do also. Food was excellent for an all inclusive facility. We definitely will return to this hotel for our next Cozumel vacation."

The staff is so friendly; I feel like we became friends. I got my scuba certification there, and the staff at the PADI shop was great as well. I loved the food. The variety and quality of the food was great. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. We met a couple who have been returning there for 13 years! "Last November 2008, we celebrated our ten year anniversary at Iberostar. (Our last trip was in 2002.) Rooms are nice. Some reviewers say they are small. They are very quaint, have all amenities, shower, beds made every day, extremely clean. When you're in such a beautiful location, why do you need a huge room? We go to Cozumel to enjoy the outside, not stay in the room and watch TV all day! Food is FANTASTIC! Staff so very friendly and always there. Attended some nightly shows; we had not in our previous visit. Glad we did! I got to go onstage for the Mr. Iberostar 2008 contest...didn't win but had fun.The disco is a nice place to 'Let it hang out!' We have already planned another visit for fall of this year."
