I love this resort. If you want to experience being in a jungle here is your resort. You can walk on pathways with foliage on both sides. This resort has wildlife all around you. Sometimes it may take a while before you see it, but they are there. This resort is beautiful. It is amongst 4 other resorts all together. The other resorts are Colonial, White sands, Riviera, and the Royal Suites( which Royal is for adults only). There two shows for your nightly entertainment. There are two huge buffet... Read more

We had a wonderful visit at this resort. There are four hotels within walking/shuttle distance, and each has different things to offer. The Riviera is great for nightlife. My mother and I spent two of the night listening to the live band, Conclase, and they were absolutely excellent. The resort was gorgeous, and the grounds were well maintained. The service was amazing too. Jesus Sanchez, a bell boy, particularly went out of his way to be of service. The only disappointment was the food. We were... Read more

The hotel is big but by third day we found the way how o get fast to all activities we need it. The most important for us was the beach. We read lots reviews re rocky beach which made us a little nervous. the beach is beautiful, there is an area without rocks and you do not need any beach shoes. Kids were able to enjoy t... Read more

6 of us stayed the week of May 27 - June 3 and the weather was great! Overall the resort is ok but if your staying at the Kentenah you will be listening to construction next store, It looks like they are building a new resort, one of the bell boys think it was going to be a Hard Rock resort. The noise started about 7:30 and went on to 5-6. Now I know your gone most of the day but the mornings would be nice to listen to the birds / wildlife. Service is slow at buffets and bars. Food is like every other all inclusive, lots of variety but meh as far as flavour - desserts look nice but all are just bland. Asked several times for mini fridge to be restocked, didn't happen, had to change rooms halfway through 2 week holiday as AC wasn't working and dumped massive amount of water on floor from roof. Second suite has some issues with outdoor shower door handle not working and sink won't drain. Mayan suite is nice but on main level and bei... Read more

Our room was very nice and new looking. It was fun to wander around and go to all the different resorts. If you were bored you can just go to a different part of the resort. Lots of walking. The beach was beautiful and private, just for the resort. Bring water shoes because it is rocky with broken coral. The food was pretty good and the service we had was great. The only complaint we have for the whole week was that the Brazilian restaurant was terrible. Bad service and even worse food. One ba... Read more

Pros: - I didn't have a bad meal the entire time (the room service wasn't quite a good as everything else but it was fine). Full disclosure: I'm not picky but the food was pretty good. I've gotten sick on almost every previous vacation and didn't on this one! - Very clean - I pretty much always saw someone cleaning or landscaping and my room was nicely taken care of - Plenty of animals around the property that were fun to watch - Comfy bed - Good nightly shows (I only saw two but enjoyed them)... I will stand by what I said the last time, this hotel has something for everyone and has variety. There is lots to do and lots of different places to eat and drink. We arrived with a group of 12 and we were given an upgrade as repeat customers and placed in the Kantenah. Difficult one. I requested not to be in the Kantenah and not to be anywhere near the new building works yet I was given an unexpected upgrade and placed right near the new hotel building works. This is a bit long but there is so much to say. To start off, we used Canada Transfers for our private transfer. We really like using them, friendly, clean, cold wash cloths and water, $1 coronas for the drive. Grand Palladium is over an hour drive so it's nice to have great transportation. We usually got to the pool around 8am and tons of open chairs. This may have been a slow week for them, but even lots of open chairs until around 11 or noon. Pool was great. Nice and refreshing. The room was lovely - the beds are very comfortable and the complex and the room were immaculately clean. We went on a family vacation from June 23-28, and had a very nice time! There were 11 of us, and before the trip I emailed the resort to ask about arranging the 4 rooms in the same vicinity. When we arrived we were all in the same building, 2 rooms on the 3rd floor, one on the second, and one on the first. I'll just list what make me unhappy in my trip and it just didn't ruined my vacations because I found a lot on interesting things to do outside of the hotel. 1) the hotel doesn't support the amount of guests that came during summer vacations. ice machines that stops working, waffle machines broken, and endless queues... I would like to preface this review by saying that this is an absolutely GORGEOUS resort. We traveled with another couple in mid-July and I was blown away with the beauty of the grounds. There is jungle everywhere, wildlife abundant, and a beautiful shoreline. At times the bathroom had a smell of sewer/moist, which were the only bad thing about the room. We stayed at villa 46 and it was a nice location for kids for the children pool and food. They have 8 specific restaurants from Brazillian to Italian but you can't book any, you have to queue and then take you turn, which involves a wait of between 1-2 hours, which is ok if you want to get ready and queue at around 7.30 to eat at nearly 10 pm at night, which isn't that much fun if yo... My boyfriend and I tend to travel at least 2x a year together (28 & 30), this time we went with his mom and 5 year old niece. Airport Transfer: we did an all inclusive through west jet, and it wasn't to bad finding the right pick up spot, however we did stand around a bit, and when we decided to buy some bottled water from carts they seemed over priced at $5 US each. Hotel Arrival: We arrived a tad before the set check out time, however after the allotted time we were still waiting around wh... Read more

We just spent 8 nights at this beautiful Resort. Everything about this resort was very nice, and it was kept spotless. Restaurants: There are so many to choose from. We have been to quite a few all-inclusives , and we thought the buffets were better than most. At breakfast there was an egg station for omletts or for any type of egg you would want. There was also a station where a chef was making fresh pancakes or waffles, so they were always hot. At the lunch buffets there was a huge variet... Read more

My husband and I have just been to the Grand Palladium Resort and Spa for a 3 holiday and did not want it to end. The hotel based in Riviera Maya is surrounded by jungle with its own private beach. The walkways leading to the beach, resturants and lobby's are alive with all sorts of wildlife, making the setting ideal for those interested in watching animals. The hotel is maintained to a high standard, the gardens are tended and the path ways are cleaned daily. The rooms are spacious, bright a... Read more

We have just returned from our 2nd holiday at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, excellent food and entertainment. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We used the sporting facilities every day playing archery and using the rifle range. Alahandro from the Sports team was amazing, speaking very good English, he was fun and had a great sense of humour. He helped make this holiday even more special. We are planning to return again next year.

Just returned from a 6 night stay at the Grand Palladium and definitely experienced some positives/negatives that I wanted to share. First of all, we stayed in the Mayan Suite- which I would recommend to anyone staying at this resort. The location was perfect (steps away from the beach) and the outdoor shower was amazing. The room was clean, despite problems with ants (which I dismissed since we were in the jungle after all) and the beds really weren't the most comfortable but we made do. Sec... Read more

My BF and I decided to go on a last minute getaway and chose to stay at Grand Palladium. It was definitely a nice and relaxing stay. The hotel grounds is definitely very well maintained. The hotel itself is very large and can be easily lost if you venture out of your own resort- at night that is. They have 3 or maybe more resorts combined. All Staff was very nice. The food at the buffet definitely needs upgrade or change the menu up a bit. Out of or short stay we visited a few of the restaurants... Read more

We just recently just returned from a short vacation at GP Kantenah everything was as we expected nice resort very clean. We had stayed at GP Whitesands and knew what to expect, food was very good, they seemed to be under staffed but for the most part service was very good. We highly recommend going on the Segway tour with Hugo all though we had stayed at GP before we were in places we didn't know existed Hugo was very informative. We were there for Halloween celebrations that was fun. On a sour... Read more

This is our second time to this property, first time we stayed in 2009 was at the Colonial section. We are a couple in our early 50's with alot of all inclusive experience. This was our 9th trip to the Riviera Maya. Checkin: All our needs where met, including location of the room ( me with some mobility issues) beds, garden view. The young lady at the desk was very proffesional and accommodating. Our room: Nicely decorated, very private jungle view on the ground floor. Love the decor in this r... Read more

We arrived Sunday October 30 around 1:30 pm. Our room was not ready and we expected that this could happen so we decided to go have lunch. We walked and came across the buffet with outdoor dining. It seemed quite lovely just arriving and to eat outdoors after an already long day of travelling. This buffet was near the main pool. It's a nice setting except for the coati's that come in numbers freely and try to jump on tables and take food. They need to try to do something in the future to k... Read more

I stayed here October 5-8 2016. Very low occupancy rate so no issues getting a chair at pool/beach or tables at restaurants. We did arrive from the airport around 12:00 but told we had to wait until 3:00 for check in. After going to the buffet and seeing that nobody at the resort and went back to ask to get our room earlier, still no clue why we were not able to get immediate access to our room. The resort is much larger than I would prefer. The thick jungle between all buildings and pools makes... Read more

Travelled with ‚??First Choice‚?? to the ‚??Grand Palladium Resort‚?? for the last week of October and first week of November. We are 2 couples in our 60s and our holidays start and finish with the flights which, in the ‚??Dreamliner‚?? were great, especially in the company of Harvey, aged 6 months, in row 6, who behaved impeccably both ways. On arrival we were booked into Kantenah villa 41, ground floor, deluxe double rooms with a balcony, which are the basic rooms at the resort, but the rooms... Read more

We were in this hotel since October 25 to November 8. Actually Kantenah is only part of Grand Palladium 5 hotels in this location (see the hotel map for details). You can find a lot of descriptions outside of my review, so, this is a good hotel for those, who like to go for a walk on hotel territory. You can enjoy the Mexican nature and some animals too. (BTW...Crocodiles are in the cells). the food is GREAT I like the shot cakes a lot. They have a lot of different stiles of food in buffet. We ... Read more

We enjoyed a wonderful week at the Grand Palladium Kantenah. (Oct. 26-Nov. 2) We were lucky enough to be able to book a Mayan Suite which was exactly what we wanted. The Mayan shower was amazing and we were located just off of the Kantenah beach. Our room was a short walk to the turtle enclosure and La Jarra beach bar. We got a chance to see some turtles hatch on our first night there. There were always plenty of loungers available on the beach and you only had to reserve one early if you wanted... Read more

We visited the Grand Palladium as a group of 4 (2 couples). We arrived the last week in October for 2 weeks.. We had very nice, clean rooms near the Colonial lobby. There is a lot of walking round the resort although there is transport to run you between lobbies and accommodation etc. It did rain every day for the 1st week but there was also enough sunshine, however if I were to suggest when to go I'd say into November. We stayed for a week and were sorry to leave. It's a spacious resort that you can easily walk the property or take one of the many free shuttle carts driven by hotel employees. Our room was very nice and clean and had a huge bathroom and private patio. Coffee set up and stocked refrigerator including soft drinks, beer and water in room was nice. We only found one useable electric outlet in the bathroom to charge our electronic devices so an extension cord was helpful. The beach is very clean and... Read more

We visited this resort the second week in November 2016 with another couple. Overall everything was good, very few complaints, but it just wasn't worth the price we paid. It was about $200pp more expensive than comparable resorts for the basic room, and we actually paid an additional $300pp for the "Mayan Suite" upgrade. I can't say for sure having not seen the basic rooms, but I don't think the upgrade was worth it. It was a very nice but average room, and despite requesting the second floor ... Read more

Our room was on the third floor of the villa very inconvenient for a family traveling with kids and strollers. The room had ants all over the restroom sink, no warm water the first night and a mini fridge that never worked. Not impressed at all and very disappointed. Pros: The rooms were always very clean, the staff is very friendly, the common areas are large and never seem over crowded, and the food is very good. The buffets are never busy at dinner as most guests head for the a la carte restaurants. There were cons but they are very minor.
