"Loved it! Great location, pools, nice beach with close access, all adult, food was good except for mexican food!?.. beef was tough, and chicken dried out in mexican restaurant. Breakfast omelets very good! Lots of healthy fruit & choices - would've liked more snacks that were like junkfood! Seriously...I'm on vacation and I want some cheesy dip and nachos!....All but 2 staff were very nice - some had trouble with english. One pool was very quiet & we hung out there - refreshing & all inclusive was nice! Hotel was clean, but could not get wifi to work on tablet even though we paid $10.00 for it. Went across street to internet business and paid $1.00 for 15 min.on their computers - great deal! Watch out for first farmacia across street - tried to charge us $9.50 for a tiny bottle of talc! That was after we bought from them day before - no mas! We would consider going back to hotel, but biggest downfall was the rooms & hotels a/c never got cool! Night time wasn't so bad, but main buffet hall felt like a sauna!...sweating at the breakfast table - even ceiling fans would make huge diff!...but all in all, it was still a good time & value for $ if you spend most of your time in the pool or at the beach on their very cool lounging beds!"

"We were there with two other couple and had a great time. The Mexican restaurant food was the only one we were not pleased with from staff to food. The bartender was the only one I would give a 10 at the Mexican restaurant. Overall a great experience. This was our 2nd time to stay at this resort."

"It was a complete disappointment.
The staff at the hotel was rude and unfriendly. At the end, we got a safe and they agreed to give it to us for a discounted price. However on the checkout they asked us to pay the full price on the safe AGAIN! I had the girl go and talk to the manager, and told her to get my $10.00 and keep the change. She came back and said fine, you can leave. Got the $10.00 (Safe was 5.00 AFTER the discount, presumably) gave no receipt, no checkout bill, nothing. These people were so dishonest. If the hotel REALLY charged us for the safe it would have been a line item in the bill. SO- this is NOT a 4 star (let alone 5 star) hotel, The food is dusgusting, There are 8 restaurants presumably but they all have the same junky food from desert to appetizers. The best thing to do is stick with the buffets, although we had access to all the places, but they were not a la carte, they were of the type �rder food at your own risk'Our omelette at Dos Lunas (Gourmet breakfast presumably) was the most disgusting and unappealing foodstuff ever placed in a plate. the staff is rude and unfriendly.
More important, the hotel is NOT on the ocean, it is on the lagoon side. The sea water is more shallow than the swimming pools. it is like a little wading area. Consider it a big size baby swimming pool. If you care even a tiny bit about seeing th ebeautiful cancun ocean, this is not the place to be. Far from it.
The restaurants were a joke. We waited 90 min for food at the Mexican restaurant, and the food (a la carte) was totally at your own risk. The fajitas were disgusting. The service lamentable. Of course most people love the 'free'drinks in huge containers that resemble vietanmese soup bowls and maybe don't care about the food. But the food was absolutely horrendous. The staff was so unhelpful. Our shower would not turn on (tenth floor, no water pressure) we called for help they never showed up. Finally we figured out you had to turn BOTH faucets all the way to max, turn the shower on, let it run like that for a while than adjust the water temperature if possible. THe cleaning of the rooms was the only bright spot of this hotel. Also, having had the 'VIP'' black bracelet, we were entitled to go the REAL Grand Oasis, in Cancun. We tried it one day and the experience was substantially more enjoyable. The staff there treated you with respect, not like you were some loser or sucker that fell into their trap for lousy all you can eat food and endless quantities of drinks. And yes, that is correct, there are, no mojitos indeed. NEVER AGAIN in this place!!!!"

"it depends on what side of the hotel you stay on new or old and what type of all-
inclusive you get. the rooms on right side are all new very nice. we found the food ok but the beef, i do not think it is beef. 2 pools are great on quiet on one not so quiet. beach was good and clean you can walk a long way the water in about 5 feet deep. staff are very friendly and well help you but when you have a problem their english is not very good they do not understand maybe because this holet just reopened in dec 2012 so they are still learning. i did not book any off site tours in the hotel but did check prices. book across the street half the price. I do not know why the sunwing rep is selling tours they should be there to help you and advise you as to what is good and where to go. i will not go back to this hotel because of the lack of english and the food. this was the first and last time i will travel with sunwing or any other tour group. we had called ahead to find out if the flight was on time YES, we left the hotel at 5pm flight at 8pm. check in at airport everyone from canada with sunwing tour is returning at the same time one and half hours to checkin. when we get to check in we are told flight delayed 2 hours here is a food voucher. go the departure and now the flight is delayed 3 hours, i did not mind the delayed it is the reps for sunwing could not tell me why. get on the plane they tell us it was a storm that delayed the plane. i am from canada i know we get snow stroms i whoud have understood sunwing should have told me when i was on land.
