Overall, we had great time but giving only 4 stars because of the cons as described below. Pros: - gorgeous beach, clean white sand and calm water - clean and well-maintained common areas and rooms - friendly staff - great location - in the city but quiet and safe - supermarket across the street - amazing spa Cons: - mediocre quality food and this is why their policy of no outside food or drink does not make sense - check-in took a little longer because 2 staff members made me and my husband s... We just finished an 8-night stay that we booked through Costco Travel. This was our first visit to Cancun. We decided to provide a review to recognize the great experience/service that we had at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach. We also wanted to help other travelers that might be having similar questions/concerns to those that we had prior to our vacation. Hotel: Very clean throughout (inside and outside), fresh flowers throughout the lobby and common areas, and extremely friendly staff.... Read more

I have stayed at the resort for the past 3 years during our anniversary and I have never been disappointed. We have been to Cancun on numerous occasions and Grand Coral Beach has been our favorite, hands down. Service is excellent and the food is great. My only disappointment is that they did not have a cigar station during late nights, which is when I like to smoke a cigar with a glass of cognac.

My wife and I spent our last night in Mexico here. The service was excellent. We we were escorted to our room, we noticed a party being set up right outside our 2nd floor room. We questioned the bellhop about the party and he said no worries, the party will end by 9 pm, this is a quiet hotel. The room was beautiful, as well as the view. However, we could not enjoy the view as there was a huge party with disco lights and music going on right outside. We went out to dinner and returned at around... Read more

There are many excellent reviews regarding this resort and I can say that all are true. The hotel is immaculate - we literally couldn't step onto an elevator without bumping into someone diligently cleaning the place spotless. The service was AMAZING with people willing to help at every turn. I am going to focus on the few things that I had trouble finding out before we booked the hotel. My family (hubby and son, 9 years old) visited two weeks before Christmas of 2015. Kidz Club: This had... Read more

I had a suite which was large and gorgeous with a view of the beach. It should be noted that the temperature difference between the AC-ed room and the balcony and cause some water condensation near the balcony area. The breakfast was fantastic, everything was so fresh and perfectly made. I ordered room service for dinner and really enjoyed it. The hotel has its own beach with (artificial) white sand and a gorgeous pool.

An elegant hotel, a crystal clear beach, 5 star amenities, an excellent location and a Spa to die for...what else do you need in a Mexican vacation? True, it's not for those on a budget. But if you want to be pampered with good food and service, while staying within distance of a supermarket, drugstore and plenty of nightlife spots, search no more!

We only had one night in Cancun before heading to Mayan Riviera and I looked for a very long time at hotels in Cancun. We knew we didn't want all-inclusive and we didn't want a party hotel so that really narrows things down! Here is the quick scoop and you will be happy you took my advice. Request a room on the lower floors to get stronger WiFi because upper floors is weak. Avoid the Adventure Center because they will rip you off. They are misleading and you will spend alot of money signing up for activities that you could have simply signed up for yourself and taken a Taxi or Bus ride to. All they are really doing is charging you a high fee to point you in the direction of the adventure, but you will have to pa... Read more

Lets start with smething very important, this hotel offers you a great professional service. It is a fancy hotel very well located on the 9.5 ave Kukulcan, so near many of the night life places. The concept of the hotel is very 1950. Big hotel , very quiet, elegant old style restaurants BUT you pay or everything and rates are pretty pricy here. The coral colour (on behalf of the hotel name) is sometimes too much. I'm happy I could visit it once but I'm certenly not coming back . You can compare t... Read more

The best hotel I have ever visited. Absolutely flawless service, beautiful rooms and on-site beach access. From the minute we stepped in, to when we left there was nothing to complain about. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, innovative and delicious. The beach bar had fresh seafood, comparable with other places such as Tulum and Cozumel. Our favourite part were the views. Beds comfortable, bathrooms exceptional and everything spotless.

We Stayed for one week at the Grand Fiesta Americana in Late Aug 2016 and the hotel, room, and location were beautiful! I booked our trip online and selected a grand club level suite... this proved to be a great choice because the grand club includes many amenities that made our stay enjoyable... For example, we had two complimentary massages for couples, two tickets for the ferry boat ride out to Isla Mujeres on the beautiful turquoise waters of coral beach... and we had complimentary hors ... This Grand Coral Beach is simply our favorite hotel anywhere. It's location in the Hotel Zone makes it convenient to shopping and restaurants. Every room is ocean view, and despite the location, it is very quiet. The swimming area is approximately 600 feet long with multiple pools and three swim up bars. Service is excellent. If you prefer the ocean, the beach is private and there are no roaming vendors. The restaurants are beautiful and offer tremendous variety. In particular, breakfast must no... Read more

We booked a trip not knowing that this is NOT all inclusive, and by the time we left we couldn't have cared less. Property was one of the best in the entire hotel zone, large rooms, hotel diamond awards in the lobby, etc. Best view of maybe any hotel I've ever been to. We ended up paying about $200 on stuff that would have been free at the other hotels, but they cannot compete with the quality of this place at all. However, the hotel common area such as the lobby, halls and pools are beautiful. A little warm, but still nice. The rooms, for which we pay to stay, are dated and a little dirty. This resort is lovely. Our room was a bit "well-loved" and could have used a bit of new paint. It certainly wasn't shabby by any means, but it's age was showing.
