"We arrived to check in and were offered an upgrade to a honeymoon suite which we did and was well worth the extra $50/night. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary. Throughout the week we saw 6 different weddings on the beach below our room. The entire week was absolutely wonderful, from the check in process through the entire week. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The food was pretty good at most of the restaurants. We didn't care for the food at Wayne's Boots but really loved the sushi restaurant and the French restaurant. The buffet had lots to choose from and the food was good. All non-motorized water sports, including kayaks, small sailboats and paddle boats (located at Aqua World down the road) are included in the rate but unfortunately we didn't find that out until the day before we left. We did take the kayaks out for about 30 minutes and paddled around the lagoon which was enjoyable. The beach and pools are great. They have GREAT areas for kids to play which made us wish our grandkids had been with us."

"My family along with my brothers family went to crown paradise for our first family trip together. Many of us who had never been any where tropical. It was a wonderful trip and some great family time spent together. We were not happy with our so called ocean view room ( hardly could see the ocean) and our request to have rooms side by side was ignored. we asked to move to a better view and side by side rooms and they accommodated us for the next day.
The staff were pleasant for the most part, some a bit curt at times, don't really know why? A few of the servers/cooks at the restaurant by the pool, certainly didn't appreciate it when we asked for more chicken wings, even when we were asking to share one plate between 7 of us, just a bit strange.
The activities at the pool and kids club were very enjoyable. We played games, did water aerobics and the kids had a great time in the kids paradise.
The food was OK. Not horrible not amazing, but as a family we ate just fine without too may complaints and issues. The restaurants were just OK nothing spectacular, we weren't able to get into the steak house as it was closed on the day we could go.
Overall we had a great time and have great memories and will return."

"Hotel was great. We found it easy to get reservations for the restaurants. They went above an beyond on that, I wanted a reservation one night for Los Gallos and they didn't have an opening that night but they asked if I would like to make one for one of the other specialty restaurants. I followed the rules and only made one reservation at a time and we were able to go to all the restaurants without a problem. Everything is very clean and the customer service is great. Although we did not take kids we did not mind that there were kids around and were quite impressed with the service they give to the little ones, treating them like they do the adults although they must know that kids don't tip. I wouldn't hesitate to go back with my kids. Chairs at the beach and by the pool were always available. Drinks were fine and plentiful and bartenders were always courteous even with the obnoxious customers. I had a blast and would not hesitate to stay there again."

"Suite Rooms was a nice idea for a family of 5, but dated. The rooms were not very clean sometimes the tub was still dirty after house keeping came in. There were ants in the room as well. The buffet was just okay. My husband had to complain to get a table at the restaurant of our choice.
The rock wall attraction and water slide never opened.
The hotel representatives harassed us for not seeing the timeshare presentation, we had to constantly avoid them.
The grounds were nice . Loved the beach, it was awesome. We spent most of our time there.
Grounds great, rooms not so great."

"We stayed at this resort for a week Feb 2013. We had 22 in our group staying for my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary. We arrived and was welcomed with a cocktail. The check in process wasn't the fastest but fairly smooth. Not all of our rooms were ready so we hung out at the lobby bar. That ended up being our meeting place. The bartenders there are very fast and very kind. They certainly are there to make sure you have a great time! I thought it was neat that they had a kid friendly drink menu and the kids could go up and order what they wanted. The drinks were great and people complain about them not being top of line but none of the resorts serve the name brands. The pools and the beach were amazing. We didn't have a problem finding chairs. If you expect to go out at noon and get a pool side chair that isn't going to happen but plenty of other seats to sit in. The workers there are working very hard to keep the beaches and the grounds clean as possible. Everyone was very friendly to us and very helpful. They don't hound you about time shares and I was very pleased with that. Room service was slow but with 600 plus rooms to tend to a person can understand. Our room was located on the 1st floor directly above the lobby bar. It was noisey there but we were so tired and with the air conditioner running it wasn't all that bad. The restraunts.... this was a disapointment and seems to be the biggest complaint of all the people who had stayed. We found that people would book themselves for the whole week at every restraunt every night. This made it impossible to get a reservation. You would walk by and there were so many empty seats and even though you ask to be seated they would not allow you to. Remember that the meals are paid for in advance so they are not out anything if the tables are open. It was very frustrating. The buffet was good but for two meals at least a day it did get old. We did manage to get into Waynes Boots and had a blast. Fun place to be. The bartender there was such a sweet heart. Some of us rode the bull and if you eat in there it is a must. I had the skirt steak and it was wonderful but the others ordered the sirloiin and they couldn't even eat it. Skip the loin. Over all we all had a wonderful trip. For the price we payed I would go back again! The only complaint I have is the reservatlions system they placed for the restraunts and lack of information on the activites that went on. We always were asking and never found anything in our rooms that told us when these activities took place. It is not very often you see good reviews anymore at even 5 star resorts. People like to complain and for gods sake you are in Cancun. If you cant have fun while there then maybe you should have stayed home. Thank you Crown Paradise for such wonderful memories!"

"It was our second trip to Crown Paradise and we had another wonderful vacation. The waitstaff in La Palapa were awesome. They are always in a great mood. I do agree that the reservations procedure for the other restaurants is not efficient and it was difficult to make reservations but you can call ahead before you arrive and book two nights which was a plus. The Friday night light show was great but we did not see any of the other shows this year. I also recommend the Experience at the Spa for a little relaxation."

"Pools were great plenty of chairs. Kids loved the Gulf, lots of shells to find. The water is rough so kids did need close supervision. We stayed in the two room family suite, convenient to water slide nice ocean view. Nice not dealing with an elevator was great. Security was always present walking the grounds on the first floor, always felt safe and secure!. Staff was very accommodating when we asked to move to a different room since we were originally placed directly next to the bar and across from the night club. Everything written about the hassle of dinner reservations is true, not a problem if you don't mind eating at 9 pm or later. I will say that tips are greatly appreciated and can usually get you what you need. Room we stayed in was VERY outdated, first floor bath had no electrical outlets and smelled of mildew/mold. Upstairs shower had plenty of hot water. Pool towel system and key lock room safe=antiquated system more stuff to track of when you are supposed to be relaxing. Service at the buffet needs some work. Would have been nice to be greeted and taken to a table. On a daily basis we had to walk around and search for a table for our group of 6. Everyone there works very hard and they were all very nice. Food was excellent at Fisherman and Los Gallos. Wayne's Boots was marginal. Buffet was good, the station making pizza was always running short which was a problem when that's what the 2 boys wanted. Morning after eating there my mom had a significant stomach issue. You are on your own to get drinks by the pool. The mini golf course was a huge hit!"

"Where to begin . . . older hotel, needs updates. Reservatations are required at restaurants but you can't get them. If you stop by a restaurant (most are half empty at any given time) they still won't seat you and they're rude about it, especially at the mexican restaurant. The host even followed us out of the restaurant and told us not to be mad, really? The French restaurant wasn't even open all week long. Lot's of booze but not quality. You have to request coffee mugs for your room otherwise you get to look at your coffee pot but you can use it. Once they finally gave us mugs (3 days later) they gave us 6 and then they didn't provide any coffee. They somehow forgot to clean our room so we had to wait a while for someone to make it back to us. If you want change, FORGET IT! They will not give you change wheter it's peso's or US currency. The buffet was usually ok but after you've had it for 5, 6, 7 days in a row it gets old fast. The servers were the best thing about the buffet. This was our second time to Cancun (with 4 kids, first time her) and we wouldn't go back. The night club didn't have anyone in it all 6 days we were there and there isn't anything for the 14 kids to do."

"Overall we felt that the variety of restaurants on offer was welcoming however the quality was very poor, especially the daily buffet which was awful. Additionally I felt it was a hassle having to wake up at 8am every morning and call up the restaurant hotline in order to make a booking for the restaurant we wished to dine at that night. All the bookings were taken within 30 mins and if a restaurant of choice was not secured that would mean dinner at the awful buffet.
Alcohol provided was branded and better quality than we expected & the service overall was decent however we felt that this was only the case when the staff were tipped.
The golf course was not of a high standard and services advertised on the website were not as good as they appeared.

"We enjoyed the resort except one thing.....booking for dinner to one of the five restaurants. You can only book the day before and when you try to book you can not get through. Then if you are lucky enough to get through they are booked for the night or you get very late dinner times, after 9pm. So, every morning when you wake up you are held to the task of trying to fine a place to eat for the next night. This really, really puts you off first thing in the morning.
I would not go back because it was difficult to get dinner times."

"This was my second time at the Crown Paradise in a honeymoon suite. These suites are oceanfront with a panaramic view of the Caribbean Sea. When you stay in any Crown Club room, you get a lot of percs and exceptional treatment! There is a special hospitality room which has full breakfast, internet access, concierge, and cocktail hour with premium liquors. You also get a welcome fruit basket, flower arrangement, and bottle of sparkling wine or champagne. The resort is older, but it is exceptionally clean and well maintained."

"My only complaint would be the food. Having to make reservations for the restaurants each day and then the food wasn't anything special. The best experience for us the Fisherman and the Mexican. Great food there. My hubby really liked the French restaurant but it didn't impress me. The kids liked being able to grab a burger and fries each day by the pool and I have no idea how many strawberry smoothies were consumed!
We also saw some of the shows! Very talented!

"Crown Paradise, Cancun
WOW!!! What a great trip.
Our stay at this hotel was awesome. The staff was friendly, helpful, and fun to be with. From the time we got to our hotel until the time we left was enjoyable.
There were a few things to note/Beds were hard, pillows were flat, bring your own pillows. The front desk was slow due to only two employees checking you in & out, but other then that/AWESOME TIME.

"I just returned from a 8 day stay from Cancun and stayed at the Crown Paradise Hotel. Cancun will always be a great destination to go to and it is my fourth time there. I have stayed in some really nice hotels and some that were economic and great bargains but I have to say that my overall stay at this Hotel was negative. first of all, the service at the reception desk was horrible with too many people waiting to be helped, the beach access was limited because 2/3 of the beach was red flagged and they would ask you to get out, the buffet food was not very good and the 7 restaurants were booked if you didn't call by 8 that morning. It wasn't the beautiful, new hotel that you saw on the photos (talk about glamour shots)and the pool area was filled with yellow caution cones because the pool deck was very slippery all the time and the restrooms all smelled like urine. I feel that there are too many family oriented hotels and you should not consider this one. I should have read the other reviews before booking."

"Food quality was poor, anything with sauce was like water all sea food was fishy tasting and old . hotel was out of date and falling apart - the disco floor had 1 inch gaps and the air conditioning unit in the exposed rafters was leaking all over the carpet and disco floor. the disco opened very late due to it being used for a kids movie area. adults not able to use water slides or game room. No bar open in adult pool after dusk and no night swimming allowed, steam showers were out of order. Our room keys were deactivated before check out as well as our families key was deactivated 3 days into the 7 day trip. The spa has two locations one near the lobby and one tucked away in a service wing on the 1st floor. so after your 50 mins of relaxing spa treatment you now need to walk down 1 full flight of steps and out of the service wing of the hotel. POOR SET UP! Very hard to book dinner restaurants they were always full so eating near 9:30 for dinner must be the new normal."

"we booked this hotel for 7 days. Other than the beachfront, nothing seem so nice about this hotel. The food was just ordinary and nothing expectacular. The restaurants needs reservation 2 days in advance and you will pretty much spend a good 5-10mins of your time just to get to the line because it is always busy. if you don't get dinner reservation you will be stuck with the nasty buffet. The staff was not so friendly at all. the beach area with cabanas are not enough to accommodate guest. you need to wake up way early so you can try to reserve a cabana with a towel, but then other guest would still steal your reserved cabana and steal your spot and towels. On incidence at the pool, someone stole one of our towels and when we addressed the problem at the front dest the staff was not helpful and making us pay the penalty for not watching our towels. does she expect us to swim with our towels? so ridiculous....this place was the worst resort we have ever been to and i will not recommend this place to any of our friends and family."

"It was our one year wedding anniversary and I booked the Honeymoon Suite and I'm glad I did because it was what I would consider the best part of our stay aside from the beautiful beach. However upon initially arriving, the check in process was EXTREMELY SLOW, not enough staff to handle the long lines to accommodate checking in several people at one time. Upon arriving to our room we were welcomed to a nice flower arrangement, bottle of wine, fresh fruit and bathrobes. We paid alot for this resort and expected better quality of food then what was offered, food ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! Maybe good for small children, but did not suit my taste at all, very bland, and although they had variety for example, Mexican Station or Oriental Station, but there were only 7 items to choose from at each NO EXCEPTIONS!!! I love seafood and would have hoped for more than just fish (the same fish with 3 different flavors) on the buffet, if you offer Mexican I would like to get fish tacos or shrimp taco and not just cheese quesadillias or beef and pork empandas. Again overall the stay was lovely but the food TERRIBLE!!! WE WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN, unless my doctor puts me on a strike (no food) diet.........."

"The hotel is very dated and lacking in a few minor details that could make it a great place. Location is good, not far from the airport and right on the beach. Beach is public but very clean, little to no seaweed so no need for water shoes but the waves are a little rough, especially for younger children. No bar area or food area close to beach so if you spend the day, be prepared to walk back up to the hotel and drag your food and drinks down to the beach. Not really convienient with two small children. Pools are nice, plenty of chairs in shade and sun. Areas not cleaned during the day though so by mid afternoon they entire pool area is dirty. Common area restrooms are the biggest problem though. First off, there is not a lot of them and the few they have are far away. Which to me means that those 200 children swimming in the pools are not using them reguarly, where do you think they are peeing, in the pool. YUCK. If you do venture to the bathrooms as I did, they are not air conditioned which isn't too big a deal but they are also not cleaned so the smell and the hot, humid air is enough to knock you over. My five year old would dry heave just from the smell alone. Also, if you use the bathroom after 12 noon, bring your own toilet paper because it is gone and they won't restock again until the next day. By the end of the day the bathrooms are downright disgusting and we would run back to our room just to use the bathroom, also there was NEVER, the entire 7 days we were there, soap in ANY of the public bathrooms. The rooms were adequate, although small. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room so it was ok. Biggest complaint with the room is that the air conditioning only moderatley cooled the room, we compalined two different times that it wasn't working and they told us there was nothing they could do. Also, phone and sliding door to balcony didn't work. We complained about that also and they did send someone to look at it but never fixed it. Also, they are very protective about the number of bathtowels they allow you to have. There were four people in our room and we got 4 towels per day, period. Would not let us have more. 4 people showering at least twice per day(morning and end of day before going out for dinner) it would have been nice to have an extra towel or two. The resort still uses towel cards by the beach/pool, writstbands and a room safe with an actual key that you have to wear around your neck. None of these complaints are a huge deal, just an annoyance that if they would fix them, this resort could be a real gem. On the bright side, the food was very good, buffet offered a huge variety for kids and adults alike, drinks were plentiful and not watered down, staff was friendly and worked hard. Do watch out for the vacation club people, if you don't plan on listening to their presentation, practice saying NO firmly and repeatedly before you get there cause they can be manipulative and aggressive. We had a good time but would not return to this hotel again just becaue of the annoyances we encountered."

"Traveled June 29th- July 3rd with two boys ages 7 and 10. Third trip to Mexico. Third trip to all-inclusive.
Very Positive Notes....No mosquitos. No rain. The beach was great. There were no rocks. The water and beach were clean with great waves and great lifegaurds. Stay around the 'yellow flag' areas. No problem getting lounge chairs. A few peddlers but not a bother at all. The hotel staff was incredible from top to bottom. Everyone who worked at the hotel got an A . The kids club area, water slides, rock climbing wall and zipline were a big hit with our kids. Make sure you get an itinerary from the concierge so you know what times the activities are available. We ate at the buffet/snack-bar for breakfast and lunch and had dinner at the ala carte restaurants each night. The buffets were good and were very much what you expect from a buffet. The Steakhouse was okay. No air conditioning (hot) and the food was average. Definitely not a 'steakhouse' steak but it was edible. The Italanian restaurant and the Fisherman's restaurants were both very good as was the Mexican restaurant. Service in all four restuarants was outstanding.
The only issue we had waswith our room. When we checked in, we upgraded to a Family 7 room. It was old and musty and the a/c did not work. We were given several deadlines of when the a/c would be working but it never happend. Around midnight I went to the lobby to discuss with the manager and asked to be moved. The night managers (had two due to shift change) accomodated the request and we were moved to a newer and much better room.
One other recommendation is to visit AquaWorld for your watersports activites. The staff is amazing and will do everything within their power to make sure you enjoy your time there. We rented waverunners there as the marina is much calmer than the Gulf, went on a snorkling trip, and rode the Twister which was #1 on both boys' lists of favorite things.
In short, the hotel is great for families travelling with young kids."

"My husband and I recently stayed here for our anniversary and booked the Honeymoon Suite after reading all the reviews other guests had said to try to book this suite if possible so we spent the extra money and did. We couldn't have been more disappointed! First off the check in process is SLOW!!!! (a long wait in line just to get your room). Then when we got to our room we never got the flower arrangement, bottle of wine, fruit basket or bathrobes and slippers we were promised on the website info. We asked for them and everything finally got delivered the next day. We never had problems getting reservations to any of the restaurants like some other reviewers did. The resort in a whole is weathered and very tired. In need of some repair, painting and furniture replacement. The food was ok but you can see they are cutting back on food costs by the choices they have to offer and not much variety. The nightly shows are very good entertainment and worth seeing. Not much else for activities other than pool games. I mentioned earlier that we booked the honeymoon suite ...be forwarned that this is not an adult section like stated. Kids were all around this suite and you could hear them all the time screaming, laughing acting like monkeys and making all kinds of racket. Not really what you want to hear when your on your honeymoon or on a romatic anniversary trip with your spouse. We paid alot for this resort and expected better quality for our vacation resort. We are average people without super high standards but in this case this resort did NOT live up to our expections. In my opinion this resort is on the lower end of the resort charts. You can do much better, Nice vacation but we will not be booking this one again."

"The crown paradise hotel was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Four of us stayed there(my wife and 2 kids) for 1 week. Its an all inclusive hotel so that means unlimited food and drinks all day long. I cant remember ever drinking and eating soooo much ever. The buffet restauarant is open from 7:00am-10:00pm with no resrevations and the other specialty restauraunts are open after 5:00pm with reservations that you must do the day before in the morning. The food was very good at all the restaurants especially the buffet which offered so many choices of food and drinks and desserts. The pools were awesome with activities like water polo, water vollyball and basketball and so many other activities offered all day long. The pools close at 8:00pm which was a good time to get out. There are bars next to the pool, on the beach in the lobby so you will never go thirsty. There are 2 beach vollyball courts on the beach to use and jet ski rentals for $50.00/half hour on the ocean in front of the hotel. There is a theater at the hotel with nightly live shows that were fun to attend every night at 8:30pm. There are basketball courts and tennis courts and a water slide for everyone and a seperate one for the little kids to enjoy. We were amazed by this hotel and I am recommending it to everybody who wants to spend a great time in Cancun."

"We just got back from a 5 night vacation to Cancun. beautifully located and designed hotel. It is VERY kid friendly. The kid club gave my husband and I an opportunity to drop my son off and have some quite time at the pool. The food was okay, lots of choices. Room had an ocean view and was comfortable.
Here are a list of things that I disliked and therefore I would not visit or recommend this hotel . (Keep in mind that there are lots of competition and this hotel should have kept things up)
*Check in was about 2 hours and still our room was not ready. Staff are not at ALL efficient. every request we had required 3-4 phone calls and 3-4 persons to get done.
*AC does not adjust. on humid days, the rooms get uncomfortable. * Our coffee maker, remote, iron needed to be replaced the day we got there. *Buffet: after an hour or so, food was not replenished. lesser quality food was put out. The reservation system for restaurants is inefficient. the line is always busy to call and you have to call a day in advance and during limited hours (the restaurants were never full anyways)."

"I will never go to Cancun again. I wouldn't stay at this hotel even if it was for free. The food was horrible at the buffet restaurant. The room furniture was old and cracked, the tile floors were broken, bedding smelled funky, etc. Don't go into the ocean and expecting help from lifeguard if the need arises. We had an incident that required their help and they didn't. Very disappointed in the hotel, staff, and Mexico. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere and forget Mexico. I would hate for anyone to have the bad experience I did."

"This is our second time coming back to Crown Paradise Club and will be the last. The facility's common areas (pool, walkway, greenery) are very well kept. Staff are extremely polite and efficient. Ocean view and site is great. However, the following need improvement:
1) Restaurants food are very mediocre except Wayne's boots. You have to make reservations at 8 am for next day and still, they don't have you down most of the time. Food at the self-serve area are actually the same or better.
2) Rooms are not clean and furniture quality is mediocre, cleaning service is very slow. Our room still dirty after 1pm, we had to remind them. Fans are old and constantly make noise.
3) No money exchange availability.
4) 2 days while we were there, they had construction right above our room and we could not rest the whole afternoon.
Overall, this is truly a 3 star hotel."

"Staff were very friendly. There was a couple of things I did not like, the food wasn't good at all there's many choices but none of them were good, room service was awful. I complained to the manager because they went three days with out bringing me clean towels of making beds. The worst part of it all was the air conditioner in the room, I almost died the ac isnt good at all. I won't recommend this resort any body can get a better resort for that amount of money."

"Just returned from a 5 day stay at CPC. After reading some negative reviews I was skeptical and considered switching hotels. But we decided to remain hopeful due to the positive reviews and kept our reservations. I am so glad that we did. I had done my research prior to going and decided to book a crown club room. It was so worth the extra money! Our room was on the 8th floor or tower two where I had read we could get an amazing view, and we did. We request a high floor and rooms next to each other and we were granted those wishes without a problem. We had a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to return. I'd like to give my opinion on some of the things I read negative reviews about-Check-in- The line moved a little slow, but we were greeted with welcome drinks and able to check into our rooms by 1:00 AM, again meeting our special accommodation request! I would say we were in line for about 20 minutes. Rooms- All rooms have an ocean view and none face the lagoon. The rooms were very clean and looked as they do in the pictures. With the crown club room, which is an upgrade from the standard room for adults only, not part of the vacation club, as stated in another review, we received robes in our room, a hot tub, a bottle of champagne, a fruit basket, access to the club lounge where we could have drinks, breakfast, a computer with free internet access and a personal concierge for booking reservations and whatever else we needed. A lunch lagoon cruise was included with this upgrade, and was a lot of fun and provided drinks, entertainment, a great lunch and the chance to meet some other guest! We had no problems with the AC or keeping our room cool. Being that it was adults only, there were no kids on our floor. Also I read reviews saying the beds were not comfortable, our bed was very comfortable.Food/Reservations- The food is different from what we are used to in the U.S. but it was still good. The buffet offered a great variety and was a quick and easy in and out. I emailed 5 days prior to our arrival and was able to book our first two nights. When we arrived I stopped at the main concierge to confirm. They called the reservation line where I was put on hold for a few minutes and my reservations were all set. We had to go with the French instead of Italian on our 3rd night, but we were ok with that. We enjoyed the food at all of the restaurants and the staff (with the exception of a rude lazy lady in the buffet) were all wonderful and eager to please. Again, keep in mind that the food is different than what we are accustomed to here in the U.S. The portions are smaller but you can always order more if that isn't ok for you. We were all always fine with the portions. We ate at the Mexican, the steakhouse, the French and the seafood. While I don't really remember eating at the Mexican due to a bit too much to drink, I believe that it and the steakhouse were my favorite. We really enjoyed eating breakfast in the club lounge. Pool chairs- I read that the pool chairs were always reserved by 7 AM and hard to get. We didn't experience this at all and were always able to get 4 all in a row. Drinks-Great bartenders and great drinks. We asked to have them a bit strong and our wishes were granted. I do recommend taking your own insulated cup so you don't have to go back as often and your drink stays colder. The bar tenders had no problems using those instead and many people were using them. Roger at the beach bar was great and lines were never long.Tips-Yes, we did tip. We took with us one dollar bills ($50-$60) and tipped with that. As Americans we are used to tipping and not small increments. We tipped $1 - $3 each time we went to the bar, but sometimes were filling 4 drinks and being they were in the larger cups, we weren't up there frequently. We tipped the wait staff in the restaurants and we tipped the housekeeping. I can't say whether or not we got special treatment for doing so, but after seeing how hard these people work, I can't imagine anyone having a problem tipping. They work very hard and deserve it! Staff-All of the staff with the exception of maybe 3, were SO wonderful! Very nice and very accommodating! The entertainment staff were AWESOME! Full of energy! The same staff you'd see at the pool full of energy at 9 AM, was the same staff you would see with that same energy doing shows at 10 PM. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. They truly appeared to love their job. Robo, Darwin, Inty and Rodrigo were our favorites!! Time Share Sales-We were approached once at the airport! We just kept walking and said we weren't interested and they left us alone. There are a BUNCH waiting in blue professional looking shirts. They can easily be mistaken for staff, so don't stop until you are outside and to your transfer companies station. Once at the resort we were introduced to someone who said they would meet with us to show us the resort. This was the person that would have tried to sell use the timeshare. We didn't meet with him and we never once had someone approach us again. Here are some tips I found helpful:-Take your own insulated cup for drinks to get larger drinks that stay colder-Take plenty of one dollar bills for tipping-Take your own beach towels so they are easy to identify and you don't have to worry about being charged for lost towel keys/towels.-Book the club rooms if you are going with all adults-HIGHLY recommend. -See the Michael Jackson show! -Take sunscreen with you if you plan on using it, it is expensive at the resorts. Use a lip balm with sunscreen as well.-Book your airport transfers in advance to save yourself from potential scams at the airport. -Research, research, research! I did for 5 months and I found so many useful tips! Especially if this will be your first trip to Mexico."

"My family took a first trip together and I selected this hotel as the best available choice. Few things need improvements, like a step stool in the bathroom for little children to reach the sink. It is after all a family hotel. Better windows, soundproof. There is no insulation, so at night the wind could be heard whistling thru the windows. A shade about little kids pool. More indoor kids club activities, as little ones need a break from the sun. Safes that could be key coded, so you don't have to carry an actual key around. More English kid friendly channels on TV. Again little kids can't be in the sun all day and need a break. More shade canopies around the pool area.
Food was good. Restaurants were excellent, in choice, food and number - Asian for lunch, Italian, Mexican, French, Seafood and Steak for dinner. And unlike other resorts you can attend all in any order. There is no limit.
Weather was nice. We traveled end of May, and there a few clouds, and few days with rain. But other days, it was nice and hot with a slight breeze. You can be out on the beach as early as 6:30am.
Right across the street 5 minuted walking to the right is a little known Mayan ruins, called El Rey. The staff does not know any info. I guess if they can't sell you a tour, they are not interested. The entrance fee is 45 pesos, and little kids are free. Lots of iguanas. I recommend you visit.
You can visit the city by hopping a bus right at the entrance. The cost for four people was 34 pesos or 3 dollars. It can take you straight to the market, and across the street is a Walmart ( in case you need some extras and don't want to overpay at the hotel gift shop). Walmart also has a selection of souvenirs. In case you are not a big fan of flea markets.
The staff was friendly, the food was decent. For dinner they have a crepe station. You can order savory or sweet crepes. In the morning that station makes smoothies to order.
The pool water was always warm, because of the weather. But pools are not heated. The beach was clean. the ocean while clean as well, had strong waves, which was difficult for little kids to swim. I don't know if it's like this all year round.
The kids activities are staff supervised, so you can safely leave them, and go have dinner with the spouse."

"While the staff was generally friendly and helpful, I wold not recommend this resort. It may be a 'value resort', but if you have experienced a nice resort before, you will be very dissappointed at the Crown Paradise Club.rnrnIt is a much older resort, and does not compare to newer resorts for amenities, beauty, and general conditions that one can expect for an all inclusive.rnrnThis is a resrt that history has left behind, and needs to be bulldozed and redeveoped.rnrnJust my opinion"

"The grounds were well kept, the room was big & comfortable. The food was not as good as I expected. I haven't done many all-inclusives, but the food was not close to as good as my cruises. The service was the biggest disappointment. Concierge was barely functional 'you can walk or take the bus' was about their only real input. Check in was quick and nice enough. Dining was always a let down. We cleaned our own tables as the staff watched at the buffet more than once. We do not speak spanish, perhaps that was part of the problem. I noticed the guests that could communicate were getting substantially better service, drink refills, tables moved together and cleaned. At some of the specialty areas, I was skipped in line by the people that could communicate. The Italian restaraunt was not bad, but Waynes Boots Steak House was terrible in food and service (the mechanical bull was fun). The pool was fun, many activities every day, but you never knew what or when. Only went to 1 show, the entertainers were enthusiastic, but the show was less than average. I may be 'cruise spoiled'. The bar service was quick and relatively personable. The drinks were good, but the alcohol seems watered down. We drank huge quantities- no buzz (didn't have this problem off-site!). We were ordering double shot drinks by the end of the trip. Our best times were off site. That makes me consider Cancun again, but not this resort."

"We were there for our anniversary and stayed 4 days. The rooms are pretty standard except for the double Jacuzzi in the room. Room furniture is dated and the terrace furniture is the cheap plastic kind. Bathrooms are small. The view from the room was tremendous. The resort isn't exaggerating when they claim ocean views from all rooms. Everything worked in the room and the bed was quite comfortable for us. We had to call maid service to swap out the pillows because they smelled as though they were left over from previous occupants of our room. Overall...on a scale of 1-10...the room gets a 7. Food is average. Nothing spectacular at all. Buffet is...well...a buffet. Yet the selection is more limited than we expected it to be. We ate at two specialty restaurants while there. Los Gallos (Mexican) our first night and Wayne's Boots (steakhouse) our second night. Selection, again, quite limited and not as good as we expected from a specialty restaurant. Club members have access to a full American Breakfast each morning in the 8th floor Club Lounge. This is where we found the breakfast to be excellent; with plenty of choices and excellent wait staff. The room service menu is also quite limited. Mostly sandwiches, salads, fruits, etc. You can also order breakfast in your room each morning via a door hanger menu. Overall...on a scale of 1-10...food gets a 6. We ate lunch the Sunday of our stay in downtown Cancun (off the hotel zone) at a restaurant called 'La Parilla'. Ladies and Gentlemen...if you want authentic Mexican cuisine in a true Latin atmosphere...this is the place. You can order from the menu or choose the buffet. Either way you cannot go wrong. We chose the buffet so we could sample everything. Check was only $41 for the two of us. La Parilla rates a 10 in our book for true Mexican Dining. Any taxi driver can get you there. Facilities were more than adequate and quite clean. The pools are immaculate and the poolside snack bar is right there. Although we did not partake in any of the scheduled activities...there was a variety to choose from. Beaches are nice and clean. Each morning the resort staff makes a point of making sure the sea weed is removed from the beach area. Plenty of shops and local vendors also set up their tables in the hotel lobby with their merchandise for sale. Overall...on a scale of 1-10....facilities get a 9. Staff was incredible! Each member of the resort staff we spoke with could converse in English. And they were more than eager to please. That was very important to us because attitude of the staff reflects directly on your stay. And make sure you sit in the 'Adults Only' section of the buffet. And please, don't get up from your table and NOT leave a little bit of a tip then complain that you aren't getting the service you deserve. Overall...on a scale of 1-10...staff gets a 10. If you want to shop have a taxi driver take you to 'Mercado 28'. For about $20 you'll go to downtown Cancun and save a ton of money on any souvenirs you want to take back to remember your trip. And don't forget to negotiate. Especially if you are buying multiple items at the same shop. It's pure latin flavor there and there are tons of shops to choose from. It's an open air market and you'll enjoy just browsing. We enjoyed our stay after we learned what to take advantage of and what to avoid. The resort as a whole is adequate. With just a few tweaks here and there the resort could easily be on the list of the top 10 in Cancun. Would we go back? Probably so. And the driving factor that would cause us to return would be the superior staff and the friendly atmosphere they provided."

"The pictures look great and the resort looks great on the outside but just wait until you get inside your room. I paid for an upgraded room. The air conditioner did not work properly. The room was hot. The ceiling fan was the only air circulating. We didn't get the packaged items we were supposed to get in the room. You were supposed to get a bottle of wine, a fruit plate, a robe and slippers, and fresh flowers to welcome you. Don't hold your breath on that because you won't get it. The call to maintenance about the air conditioning was a joke. A man came, looked at the number on the thermostat, got into the ceiling and looked at the filter and came down. He never told us anything about it. That's all they do is just look at you like your stupid. The front desk personnel and the Concierge were rude and not helpful at all. We were told we do not have to change our U.S. currency into pesos because everyone in Cancun takes American money. Yes they take it but they sure won't give you American money for change. That's because they all use a different conversion rate and just charge you whatever they want to for what your purchasing. I had the conversion rate on my phone and calculated my purchases and they over charged me by at least $5 each time. You ask them about it and they say they don't speak English. How do they know what to charge then? That's how they are making their living, by ripping you off. If it weren't for travelers, they don't realize they wouldn't have a job. You have to make reservations the day before to eat anywhere except the buffet line. The only allow one reservation for every 15 minutes. Good luck getting a reservation. What we found out was that they just book a minimal of persons for the restaurants. When you go to the host or hostess, you find out that they are not completely booked like they told you they were because the host will let you in to eat. Absolutely ridicuous! The cleaning service was awful. The bathroom was never actually cleaned. There were little bugs all over the sink. They never picked up any dishes. They just left them there. The pools closed at 5pm and 7pm. Who in their right mind does that. At least keep it open until 10pm. It wasn't because they were cleaning the pools because they weren't. The food had the same taste for every meal you ate. Either had so many spices you couldn't eat them or had no taste at all. Every dessert looked and tasted the same. A chocolate cookie tasted exactly the same as a vanilla cookie. Please do not waste your time or money goint to this resort. It is a poor excuse for a resort. I wish there was a way to get some if not all of my money back."

"My wife and I have been to many different All Inclusive Resorts in Cancun and we thought that the Hotel was very clean in the Lobby, Grounds, Pool areas etc. We were suprised at how our room was with a fruit basket and a bottle of Champaing waiting for us when we arrived. We visited the Mexican, French, Italian, and Steak house and the service and food was as good as any place you could go to in town. Every morning when we went to the pool for the day we had no problem finding a place around the pool even at 8:00 a.m. in the morning they had more than enought chairs for everyone, even parents with children. The entertaiiment staff did an exclenent job keeping everone old and young entertained. They had 4 different pools for eveyone to use and 5 different restuants and buffets to use. At lunch around the pool they had a place you could get drinks and food at any time."

"The resort was everything i had hoped it would be. i have stayed at many all-inclusives, in the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. This resort was the best ever. I really enjoyed my room on the 7th floor overlooking the ocean. it was well appointed and very clean. Our maid, Ady, took very good care of us. Almost every morning we enjoyed coffee on the balcony and a glass of wine in the evening. Spectacular scenery! Our day began with breakfast in the La Palapa buffet with fresh juices, omelets, cereal, rolls and pastries and plenty of sweet and varied cold fruit. The waiters were very attentive and accomodating. Lunch was very good also, with beautifully prepared pork, chicken and beef dishes. Again with all the fantastic salads. Plus all the different stations available to prepare food for you. They had Oriental, Mexican, and Italian chefs to make dishes for you. We had no problems making reservations in the seafood and steak restaurants and the experience was very good. The last day we discovered the japanese restaurant and really enjoyed the prepared dishes buffet style(chicken curry, teppanyaki, etc.)and the sushi was very good. Two days we went into Cancun to shop and it was enjoyable. We caught the No. 1 bus for a dollar and returned the same way. The buses run very often and the drivers will let you know when to get off if asked. We spent most of our time in the adult pool off the first floor as it was much quieter than the family pools with all the kids. If you are planning a trip to Cancun, do yourself a favor and consider this resort. I can't wait to return."

"My friend and I were planning on spending a nice relaxing weekend to celebrate our birthdays but it did not end up that way. We were place in a ground floor room behind the buffet hut with no view of the ocean that I paid for, just a view of the back of the building and metal. We then found a dead roach on the floor and when I called the front desk they acted like it was no big deal!! I then when to the front desk and demanded to be moved which I was told that nothing was available until Saturday. There were kids running and yelling through the halls all night and no one addressed the issue. We were told to come to the front desk at 11am on Sat to check out of are current room but then was told our new room was not ready. We sat in the lobby and lost most of the day waiting for our room. The buffet food is not good but I enjoyed the Seafood and Italian restaurant. This hotel caters to families and not to singles. If you are from the good all USA then you will be a minority at this hotel. It appears to be a popular hotel for the Mexican culture to vacation too."

"I planned this trip with a girlfriend for her & my birthday's. Our trip was Friday to Monday (04/27/12 to 04/30/12) First we arrived and were put in the west wing of the hotel which is very old and rundown. We were put on the 1st floor behind the buffet hut and had little or no oceanview which I paid for. As my friend discovered a dead roach in the corner of room near her bed. I requested to be moved and they said they had nothing available until Saturday so I requested a maid to come and clean up the dead roach. They did not flinch when I said there was a roach in my room!! They offered no compensation or refun in any way!!! The next day were were told to come to the front desk at 11am but when we arrived our room was not ready. We did not get a room until almost 3pm therefore we lost an entire day sitting in the lobby!! We were put in the east wing which has been renuvated and is much nicer but the AC did not go below 75.4 and they came several times to fix. Apparently in Mexico that is as low as it will go!! So we were given a fan and my friend has a medical condition and the heat bothered her. On another note the buffet food is not good at all and there was not much I could eat. The specialty restaurants are very good especially the Seafood and Italian. This hotel is not for singles at all!! They let the kids run wild and the staff says nothing to them. Kids were running through the halls after 11pm screaming and yelling. Other thing is that if you are from the good all USA you are a minority here. They definitely cater to the Mexican society. Only good thing I have to say about Cancun is the waters are absolutely beautiful!!!"

"Very pleased with the exterior of the hotel, grass and landscape well manicured, plenty of fun activities to do during the day, and relaxing at the same time. However, very displeased with the interior of our room. Beware, the picture that is displayed on the website is probably not what your going to get upon arrival. We ended up getting a single room with a rock hard bed with minimal A/C. We ended up upgrading to a better room but I was appalled by what they originally extpected us to stay in; having paid what we paid for the trip, we expected better. Another down side is that the pools closed at 7pm and there was nothing to do after that; you basically had to have something planned to do in town or at a flea market or something after that. In addition to that, I was also disappointed in the 'adult pool' area. It was located in a weird location in front of the hotel on the second floor with no ocean view. This is where the swim up bar is located which was also a little disappointing due to the fact that this pool closed earlier than the main pools at 5pm. Other than those things, we had a pretty good time playing games provided by the resort during the day and beach volleyball. Also, more family oriented than expected, lots of kids running around."

"This was a lovely resort! Clean and friendly, and perfectly positioned in Cancun's hotel zone. Staff was very attentive and efficient. Activities were plentiful -- if anything, too much to pack into a 7 day vacation. Only problem was the fact that they were doing major maintenance work in the room directly above ours. The noise level in our room (during the day) became too much, so we asked to be moved. The manager moved us immediately into an upgraded room, and offered free massages, and other incentives as a way of apologizing for the inconvenience. All in all, a very positive experience. :)"

"My daughters and I were there for Spring Break. Our room was clean but did not sleep all of us SOS we had to call for a rollaway. The buffet was ok for a meal or two, but got old quick. We loved the sushi hut. The specialty restaurants were amazing. However, it was VERY DIFFICULT to make reservations. They would not take walk up or stand by at all. The pools were nice. However, chairs were hard to secure but could be done. We had several power outages during our stay -take a flashlight. We were in the main building which was very noisy at night. We had three elevators for our building -430 rooms-and for 2days only 1worked. We were on the top floor which made this not so nice. The photographers were always around for pictures, however they did not have the right equipment to load all the pictures- they lost all of ours. Yes,it is all inclusive, but the mixed drinks are awful. You have to ask for double shot to taste the alcohol. Beer was ample. We travel quite a bit and rarely do I ever leave negative comments. This resort showed its age and needs to change their rating. The are not a 4.5 of 5. The travel company ay the resort was great. We booked two excursions Mayan Jungle which was great!! Extreme sports-zip lining, repelling, cave snorkel etc. we also rented a private ctamaran. That was fabulous. The captains gave us a name of a local restaurant la parilla-BEST MARGARITA EVER!!!!!! It is in downtown Cancun. The bus can take you there!!!!! We loved our time with our friends, just will find a Better resort next time."

"This place was awful. The place is very run-down. The food is horrible. Very cheap alcohol is used for drinks. Pay a little more and stay somewhere nice with good food and drinks. The staff is not very nice nor are they efficient. The buffet is the only restaurant that is open all day and the food is horrible. Most of the staff is very unfriendly and not helpful at all. "Okay not sure why people didn't like the food, I am pretty picky and I ate at all but the Italian restaurant and thought it was all very good. I stayed in one of the lower priced rooms but although older were clean and decent. Everyone was friendly and nice. The only complaint I have is check in and bell hop were an issue. Check in was no earlier then three so they sent us to go eat and such (we got there at 2pm) when we went back after 3 we stood for another 15-20 mins while they tried to find a clean room for us. We finally got and room and it took another 50-60 minutes for the bell hop to bring up our luggage (and two phone calls from us). After that the entire trip was excellent!!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay, the only bad thing I would say is that there wasn't enough all inclusive events for teenagers. The zip line and water park were small, seemed more geared towards younger kids. The rec room was of no desire for my two teenage boys. I am a single mom and I don't make much money, so paying extra for excursions was no option for me. This was pretty much a 'once in lifetime' event for myself and my boys. I was completely happy with the adult areas. We did go to aqua world and the boys did enjoy those included activities. :) The staff was amazing, food was great and rooms were nice! I would stay again if given the chance."

"I stayed at this hotel from April 17-20,2012. Me and my boyfriend. age 28 & 26. From reading the previous reviews I expected a long check in. The check in took about 30 mins. While we waited in line we were given wine to enjoy during our wait. The hotel was very clean and all the staff very friendly. We did tip regularly so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Like all the other reviews say dollar bills work great. The beach was beautiful. We didn't get bothered by anybody selling anything they would ask you once you say no and they keep it moving. We did pay the extra for the higher quality rooms which had a hot tub in the room that was nice. The drinks at the bars were great we enjoyed all the Tequila we could drink. The food there were some ups and downs with the food. We had no problems getting reservations at any of the restaurants. We ate at the Fishersman's and Sans Souci's both very good. That Lalapa buffet which seems like if you have kids our its lunch time you are mostly likely going to be eating there is not very good unless you want salad or fruit. They did have a little Mexican grill in there I liked and lived on. Most of the food in the Lalapa had no favor or seasoning. Room service the same thing nasty food. I ate lunch at the Fujiyama nasty, but I did see a lot of people eating the sushi I didn't eat sushi but people were eating it by he plates full so I don't know. All the pool looked clean the only one I used was the adult pool with the swim up bar which was great. The pool close at about 7pm I really didn't like that , but me and my boyfriend enjoyed late night walks on the beach which is pretty empty after 9pm. The Club Nitro is boring nobody was in there our whole stay. Go to the club outside of the hotel it was really fun. A wide range of different people we purchased tickets from the club promoters at the hotel $50 it included 3 clubs vip service(reserved tables) our tour guide stayed with us all night not right in our face but close enough. We did have to get our own way back to the hotel which worried us a bit but the bus was crowded it costed $1 each and the bus stop was right across the street from the club. Don't catch a taxi to expensive the bus is just fine safer I say. In the club people we try to sell you everything under the sun. Just say no . Overall we had a great time met so cool people and would return. One thing I did want to touch on that I didn't like was the hotel I really feel like we go cheated on that part of the experience. For one the hotel comes with a lunch cruise will they don't tell you it's only on tues at 11am we got there tues at 3pm so didn't get that also we were suppose to get a romantic dinner at Sans Soucis which was to include a bottle of wine and selection off a special menu were we made our reservation with our lady didn't tell us anything about we had select or wine and food with her. So we get to the restaurant on my birthday and the best the could do was give us so nasty wine they could have at least let us pick the wine since we were cheated out of our special menu. Another special service of the hotel was you can select you breakfast on this card hung it on your room door and they'll bring it to your room we did that they took the card but no breakfast ever came. The only thing I seen was good about the hotel was the breakfast in on the 8th floor vip room with internet and the 8th fl bar, was great oh yea and of course the hot tub."

"So just for fun I was reading some of the previous reviews and I'm not sure what's their deal. Let me first of all say that I stayed in a room with the jacuzzi, on the second tower. The room was very clean, bright, updated, and just wonderful from the second I arrived until the moment I left. I did not have any of these bugs some people are complaining about. Secondly the front desk staff, bar(s) staff, and buffet and restaurant(s) staff were all extremely nice. Show respect to the staff and the staff will bend over backwards for you (sounds logical I know, but you'd be surprised). And yes you have to make a reservation to your restaurant of choice which is a 2 minute conversation which I made every single morning as soon as I woke up, no big deal. By the way I recommend you get your reservation in for the French restaurant (Sans Soucis) it was fantastic! The best bar in the hotel is Collage, the bar tenders are awesome. Overall I was very happy with the hotel. Food is good and abundant, so are the drinks, the staff is awesome, the hotel accommodations are perfect, I have to give it a 9.8 out of 10. My only complaint was the wi-fi, should be free, or atleast kind of affordable. $20.00 is a little much, so i decided to postpone my Facebook-ing for a couple of days. Would I come back? Yes, I actually plan on doing so... Cheers!"

"After thoroughly researching several resorts in Cancun we decided on this one due to the pictures on the website and the restaurant options listed. What a joke, the pics are definitely photoshopped and there were bugs all over the counter in the bathroom. After the first night we asked for another room and they let us pick from 2 rooms (between Tower 1 and Tower 2) the tower 1 room looked better but it still had bugs in the restroom; they obviously do not believe in spraying the facility because they were all over the walls by the elevator as well. So we moved to Tower 2 and it was ok until day 3; the bugs had made there way to our restroom once again this time around the shower. In this room we had to let the shower run about an hour to have hot water; and this was after reporting it to maintanence, it was his suggestion to just let it run. As for the 4 'fine dining' restaurants on property all require reservations, who wants to think about making reservations EVERY NIGHT on their vacation, if you miss making a reservation or the restaurant is completely booked your only food choice is the buffet. I could go on about this resort but the bugs alone is enough to deter anyone else from this place."

"This was a wonderful vacation. The beaches were breathtaking, the staff was wonderful. The only thing that I did not like is trying to get a spot at the pool. If you do not get your towels down there by 7.00am or earlier you will not get a place by the pool. People would place their towels, flip flops, books, etc on the chairs and leave them there all day. The food was also ok, but could be easily overlooked because of the other stuff. Great place!!!!!"

"Great place to stay with kids. Infinity pool is great, Lunch is never far away. We relaxed by the pool while the kids could go get their own lunch under the shelter by the pool. Great poolside games, Bingo, Volleyball, Swimming races. The pool is right around 3-4 feet deep all the way through, so we weren't worrying *too* much about our kids, and there is a shallow (3-4 inches deep?) walkout in the water to where there are stairs where the pool goes deeper. Hammocks swing near the ocean the ocean sand was clean and safe with VERY few people walking, selling things (hair braiding, cowboy hats). Food was great, sushi by the pool, restaurants on site by reservation, and a buffet that we hit every day. Clean pools, clean pool areas, clean food areas, great selections of different types of food. Filtered water for guests, so no worries. The Kid paradise was incredible, with a shallow-ish waterpark setting with a pirate ship and more. Also a small basketball court and a little movie area where there were movies going on all day. Plenty of lifeguards/workers. Kids all get signed in and out, or they can leave on their own if you sign up for that. There is also a little place for babysitting the little ones, but our kids are too old for it. It looked great, though. There was an arcade for the kids with air hockey, another movie showing, pool tables, a couple video games. Very nice. A bar inside the arcade where adults can sit (kids can get sodas or juice as well, anywhere) so we were able to rela and chat by the bar and the kids were safely nearby. Everything is enclosed, and all inclusive, so really there is no need to leave the premises. There are a few little shops, and a place to go see shows that are offered as well. We did take a (one) bus down to the little market in the city where the prices are cheaper for souveniers. We went with another family and their children. Our kids are 10, 8 and 6, and theirs are 8 & 10. We had a really good time. I would recommend. Oh! And there was mini golf on premises that you can use anytime, and a little market set up on certain days. so really, you could save the minimal bus fare and just buy from the little market that has the same things as the city does. Bring a good sunscreen and aloe to put on at night and you'll be all good in the sun. Flags on the beach (yellow, red, green) let you know where the safer places are to be in the water. Walk across the street to feed Iguanas!!"

"The experience overall was fantastic with one huge, gaping exception: the front desk. The front desk staff was horribly inefficient, very rude, and incredibly uncooperative. Other than that, other staff members were relatively helpful and friendly. Some of the folks in the restaurants were by far the nicest. I hated all the little bugs (like miniature spiders) that were in the rooms; the rooms felt somewhat clean but they felt quite dated."

"Had a wonderful vacation. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Only negative was the restaurant reservation system. You had to call a day in advance which sometimes isn't convenient. I went down to the concierge and she helped me get through so I could get reservations at the Italian and the French restaurants. The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive. The food in the buffet was very good as well. Loved the 'made to order' omelets, crepes and pancakes. Something for everyone. The resort is very family oriented with lots to do for the kids. There is an adult pool as well for people without children to relax."

"Our family went with another family during Spring Break. The rooms were adequate but the electricity went out approximately five times during our 6 night stay. When this occurred, the air conditioner and water would not work. The resort did not have enough staff to accomodate their guests as it was common for there not to be enough ice in the ice machines or coffee available in the buffet area and room service would take approximately 60-90 minutes."

"My wife and I booked a week here after much research on the internet- This was only the second time we took a vacation without our kids in tow, so we wanted to make sure this vacation provided everything we wanted- This resort caters to adults and families evenly- If you are not quite ready for an adults only vacation, then this place is perfect- we had the choice to intermingle with families or just adults- as there are adult only sections at the buffet, and an adult only pool, and an adult only lounge on the 8th floor of one of the hotel sections- Definately pay to upgrade to the adults only section of the hotel if you do not have the kids in tow- it's worth it- The room was perfect- fresh fruit- bottle of wine, free room service, and restocking of the mini bar were all hassle free- My wife and I made very good use of the lounge as well- and the concierge there seems to have an inside track on getting the restaurant reservations you want- We will be returning with our kids next year because we loved this place so much!! our only complaint was the inability to get a lounge chair at the main pool- Everyone seems to get to the pool very early and 'reserve' lounge chairs with their pool towels and then do not leave until the sun goes down- There should be some time limit for how long you can reserve these chairs- it doesn't seem right- Anyway, my wife and I only used the main pool twice during the week because of this- We utilized the Adult only pool every other time! We highly recommend this resort!!"

"Overall it was a good experience. Staff and service was excellent. Our only disappointment was we were expecting more seafood. The food was mass produced and not very high in quality. We both concluded that our continental breakfast in the adults only lounge was the saving grace. Our best dining experience was in the French Restaurant. Also, we had to pay for WIFI and the 'free' golf cost $50 per person per round. I wouldn't go back."

"This was my first trip to Mexico so i really had no preconceived idea of what to expect. Upon arrival at the airport we found our Best Day rep and he was awesome, giving us many great tips enroute to the hotel. We were greeted with champagne on our arrival and i would say i was completely taken back by the view out to the ocean when we walked into the lobby of the hotel. It was breathtaking. We were graciously given an early checkin (we checked in at 11 am) and we stayed in a Family Suite (7) on the main floor (which was awesome with kids!!!) in room 1002. When we arrived in our suite i was disappointed. The room was dated and underwhelming compared to the lobby of the hotel, however, the layout was great with kid space down and adult space up. We quickly headed for the pool and i'd say we never looked back! All of the amenities, the food, the pools, the activities, the ambience and the service of the hotel completely made up for the dated room where we spent very little time anyway - basically just showering and sleeping. The food was outstanding. We never once ate at any of the restaurants bc the buffet food was so varied every day with so many options and so good that we just never felt the need. I have 2 very picky eaters and they both ate very well - especially the kid-friendly food stand by the pool with the hot dogs and hamburgers, fries and chicken. They had also recently been to Mazatlan and they could not say enough how gross the food was there so both were very hesitant to eat the food but were pleasantly surprised. I think what stood out the most for us was how clean the resort was. I mean, spotless!!! With a kid-to-adult ratio of probably 3 to 1, food and drink accessible everywhere (including free 24x7 room service)... you would expect to find the place a mess. We simply could not believe how quickly and completely the resort was cleaned. Each night we saw the staff SCRUBBING completely clean the hotdog stand kitchen by the pool. I was so impressed. And the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly, happy, always courteous and eager to help. One night at the buffet a little girl spilled her spaghetti just as she was arriving at her table. She ran out of the buffet in embarrassment and within 5 minutes the staff had cleaned up the mess without a word. A few minutes later when she returned, the staff greeted her with a fresh plate of spaghetti and sauce. Just those little things that went so far above and beyond. Would we return? I'm not sure only because i can't say that i really enjoyed Cancun. I found it too commercialized and not enough to do that isn't an expensive excursion. We had hoped for even an Aquarium or something interesting to see. With so many other places to go in the world and Caribbean i would have to say that i won't be back but i would certainly recommend it for any family. Also, don't get fooled if you have little ones (under 8) regarding Xplor Park. It is NOT for under 8. We were assured we could ride tandem on the ziplines and 1 zipline in were told we can NOT and my daughter was 7 and there was no way she was going to ride alone (i can't blame her). All of the activities really are not for those under 8 there so don't waste your money, wait until they are older."

"When ever we arrived the guy at the check in upgraded us for free to a better room and it was beautiful and the view was amazing. the service was wonderful and everyone was giving their all to make sure you were taken care of. we never had to wait on anything, everything was wonderful the only improvement i would recomend is the food quality and the entertainment. there was plenty to eat and lots of beautiful places, but the food, well maybe it is just different from ours, but it wasn't as good as i expected. the people at the resort were cleaning and constantly working and it almost made me feel guilty, because they were such hard workers and i hope they get paid well, cause they sure deserve it. Our cleaning lady was wonderful and worked so hard and the room was spotless whenever she was finished...i let remarks about her. wonderful family place and felt very safe and would recomend it to all of my friends and family."

"This is an 'All-Inclusive' offer, where not all is included. First we were assigned in a room that did not have a place to put the clothes. Then Internet access was more than $ 15 for 24hrs for a slow and intermitent connection. The food is ok but not high quality. The best are the young workers that do everything, from baby sitting to kids' lifeguard to dancers in the talent shows they have in the nights. Sorry but I suggest you look for another offer...Unless you want to go there only once...and not come back..."

"We had a great time at the Crown Paradise our kids are 3, 7, and 9 they so much fun. Pools were great, beach was beautiful. Weather was perfect. Food was good, but make sure to call for reservations a day ahead to get the time you want. My favorite was the mexican place. Chairs fill up quickly so go down to the pool early!! We had a great view from our room and were close to everything, but if was really loud at night you could hear everything going on downstairs! Overall it is the perfect place to take kids!"

"Other than a slow check-in I have no negative comments about the resort.. Food was plentiful, fresh and delicious. All staff were efficient, friendly and polite. Our room had an awesome view of the ocean and was cleaned daily along with some towel art from the maid. Plenty for both adults and kids to do with a very well-organized and safe Kids Club! Anything you need is there...I would definitely return!"

"I would not recommend this resort. I e-mailed them over one week prior to arriving stating what kind of rooms we would like and that we wanted to be in the newly renovated tower. well, we did not get either one because they said it was not available. I also e-mailed them asking for dinner reservations for when we got in and they never got back to me. to get into a restaurant at night is the dumbest setup I have ever seen. It is nearly impossible to get reservations. They do not want you to eat in the restaurants. They make it so difficult to get a reservation that you end up just going to the buffet. We paid for all inclusive and it was definitly not worth it. It would take hours for room service to arrive. We sometimes had to call 3-4 times before they would finally come. The workers are very good and do an amazing job for what they have to work with. The shows were very good too. I would never go back to this place mostly because of the was they do their restaurant reservations. I would not recommend you waste your money here. There are so many resorts in cancun. I know there are much better ones out there."

"We stayed in March and had a wonderful time. Our first room was located on the 1st floor in the South Tower in a corridor. It was very loud. Luggage racks being wheeled outside our room at 2 a.m., (on tile) three nights in a row was too much. We requested a room change and were moved to the North Tower, floor 6 which was wonderful. The woman at the Reservation Desk was very helpful. I wish we would have moved sooner. Our room did not have a mini-bar or fridge but we called room service and ordered 2 sodas, 2 waters and 2 beers and they brought it right up. We kept it on ice in our room and it worked very well. Even though we had to change rooms, our stay was wonderful. We traveled with 2 children ages 11 and 8. They had a wonderful time playing on the beach and swimming pools. The kids club had dodge ball games as well as cake eating contests which were fun for the kids. The food is fantastic. We ate at the Fisherman's Restaurant, Italian (PIzza) and Wayne's Boots and the large buffet. All were good. Yes, you do need to call at 8 AM that day to get a reservation in one of the restaurants and a couple of our reservations were very late in the evening but one day we showed up early and they accomodated us. The food by the pool is wonderful: nachos, burgers, hotdogs, french fries, sushi, all was very tasty! We would definitely go back and plan to! This is the best resort for families!"

"The Crown Paradise is a great place for a family to visit. The rooms aren't great, but the views are incredible. The A/C wouldn't get the room cool enough so we were hot at night. There are plenty of things for the kids to do. The hotel is clean, but some areas are in need of a make-over (fitness center, tennis courts and soccer field). The staff is super friendly! The food at the buffet was so-so. The restaurant food was good. I have stayed at nicer hotels in Cancun. I would recommend this hotel to friends with children, but probably would not return."

"This was our second trip to Crown Paradise Club Cancun and it definitely has gone downhill a bit. Painting is needed to clean the place up, the equipment in the gym is barely adequate to call it a gym. The decking at the adult pool is falling apart. The food at the buffet was not good especially the meats which were fatty and substandard. The specialty restaurants had good food but they were poorly run and the waiters definitely overworked since they do not have busboys. The staff at the resort work hard and always smiling with something nice to say. The grounds are nice and well maintained. The reason we like this resort is the ocean view rooms but will definitely try another place when we visit Cancun next time."

"Our family traveled Feb 19th - 26th. Had a wonderful time. This was our first experience with an all inclusive resort and our expectations were pretty much met. The food was awesome at the buffet as it was fresh and plentiful. The restaurants were ok. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant and least favorite was the Italian. The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The kids paradise area was great. We have an 11 and 7 year old that had some fun there. Also, the shows were very enjoyable. On the downside, one annoying thing was playing the get a reservation game by calling the line at 8am and keep calling back until you got through. Then once you got through, the dinner times were 8:30 or 9pm. We had luck a few nights and just walked in without a reservation. They are not busy but I had read a review that the tables are held for club members. If you don't want to deal with that, the buffet is just fine (other than @8:30am when it's hard to find a table. Going a bit later was not an issue in finding a table). They need to add more tables here. Another very annoying thing was how people would hold chairs at the pool with the rented towels early in the morning. So when you came down for a chair at the pool, it was hard to find any. We started playing the towel game ourselves and then twice our towels were taken and we owed money at the end of our stay for them. Add more chairs! Bring your own towels until they fix the holding of chairs situation and rented towel fees. We have been other places and never had towel fees. Had I known that American Airlines didn't charge a per luggage fee, I would have brought ours! But overall, we really enjoyed ourselves at Crown Paradise."

"Don't go here!!!!
I brought my 2 young kids for the kid friendly environment. There bugs all day/all night crawling around in our bathroom. Then we had a HUGE cockroach crawl under our door at night (not what we wanted to wake up to). The kids contracted Coxsackie Virus in the kid pools. When I wrote the management team of the hotel, they said 'Sorry'. There was no refund of any sort, which I asked for. The beach was nice but the facilities were obviously not too clean. Also be aware of time share people stalking you upon your arrival, along with a hard sales pitch from the salesman (made us very uncomfortable). We didnt drink much at all but all the liquir was cheap, and only Coronoa on draft was available. Not too many options. Also, before we chose this resort we asked if our kids can be together in the kids club and they said sure, no problem, we just need to sign a waiver. This was not the case nd they did split the kdis up. I was not happy about it. We only used the kdis club once or twice. Spend a few more dollars and go somewhere else."

"We are a fmily of 6 with 4 kids ages 4 to 14. Our stay was from the 20 to the 29 april. We have been here on 2 previous occasions and were generally happy with our stays there but there were some aspects we wsh they would improve upon. The quality of the food at the buffet is fine but seems to be lacking in imagination and flavour. After a week of eating there you realize that its pretty much the same things day after day.The salad bar and fruit bar were good and the service of the staff was great. The restaurants were pretty good, we enjoyed the fisherman restaurant and the ' Waynes Boot restaurant were good, but the portions are small. The hotel was generally clean but there are repairs needed and they seem to be only interested in patching problems instead of fixing them. 1 e.g. are the elevators, on each of our visits there has been at least one elevater that has been out of order. The pools are great and the fact that you can choose which one you stay at are a plus. BUT,, something has to be done about the bird problem,, at about lunch time , they start showing up and trying to get at the plates that people have left behind ,, it gets rather annoying when one of your neighbors leave their fries on their chair and you have 5 to 10 birds trying to get at them. The beach was great, we had no complaints there, there are some locals walking around trying to sell hats and jewelery, but if you say no they leave you alone. Drinks and bar service are pretty good, but the alcohol is watered down, after 5-6 drinks you start to wonder where the buzz is. I went into town and bought some Tequila and added some to my drinks. I f you are going into town, take the bus, its 1 dollar and they come every 4-5 minutes, You can tell the driver where you are going and he will call it out when you get there. Another tip is if you are going into Cancun for shopping or whatever,,, cover up your hotel bracelet with a wrist band or a watch,, you will be less likely to be approached by locals trying to sell you things. Another tip,,, bring plenty of 1 dollar bills with you for tipping."

"While in Mexico for Spring Break I bought two pieces of what I thought was real Silver, they were pendants. One from the Market and the other from the Resort where they invite vendors to come in and sell merchandise in the main looby. Upon arriving home and wearing the pendants the Silver which was applied thinly over what looks like bronze started to wear off. What a rip off. I guess it was my fault though. I was warned not to buy silver there. I just thought that if the Hotel invited these vendors they wouid be reputable, not con artists. Enjoyed beatiful Cancun though. I will not rely on going to Mexico for Silver anymore."

"This was our second vacation as a family to the Club Crown Paradise. My wife Monica, myself and our two children were more exited about returning to the resort the second time than we were the first because we knew what to expect. I would like to share with you the warmth that we felt from the staff. Every member of the staff we came in contact with was kind, supportive in every way and went out of their way to enhance our vacation experience.
Our boys are 5 and 7 years old, they will never forget the 'Kids Club Staff' all were incredible. When the kids are happy, the parrents are happy. The staff made us happy!
Monica and I were able to reconect at newly wed levels because of the support of the staff, the daily programs at the main pool and all of what Cancun itself has to offer a vacationing family.
I am glad Monica signed us up for this adventure, we will never forget participating in the nightly entertainment shows, releasing sea turtle hatchlings into the ocean, feeding bannanas to wild iguana's, snorkling on the reaf or just enjoying the well maintained beach.
If i could go back tommorow I would bring friends.
Thank you Club Paradise.
Thanks for everything!

"We recently planned a trip with my entire family for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We were a pretty big group consisting or all of us siblings, plus our spouses and children. 22 people in total. The staff was helpful since our first call in Boston and they did not drop the ball once throughout our stay. They tended to all of our individual needs constantly.
The hotel was immaculate and the food was great too! An awesome experience all together. I would not hesitate to go back to Crown Paradise any time.

"The employess are friendly and the front staff is able to speak spanish, the entertainment team are young (college age) who entertain the guest and children. Food is decent its like the food that one recieve on a cruise, the a/c in the room worked well but no a/c in the theatre and elevator however the entrance has a great breeze it was amazing. The rooms are very clean the housekeeping dept did a great job with cleaning the room and the bathrooms. The buffet area has a variety of food and the workers are friendly and attentive, some speak little english and eager to please. The restaurants are preety decent especially the French restaurant and fish restaurant.....has a japenese restaurant that one does not need a reservation but they are slow...and if you like shrimp go early because after a couple of hours all the shrimp is gone. Tips are included however they welcome tips especially if they go a great job the workers appreciate it. I enjoyed this trip and will return. The bus service is 24 hours and its only a $1.00 one way, no one harassed or bother while walking at the hotel zone, clubs are great if you like to dance and excusrions are availabe if you want to see the beautiy of mexico.
Rooms and bathroom are clean and decent had a hotel style room but made aware that all the rooms are not the same. Its also part of a time share so beware of those who want to sell you a room...just say NO nicely and they take the hint. "
