"We arrived early and our room was not ready which I expected. They had a rest room where we changed and went to the pool til our room was ready. We had a garden view room but you could see glimpses of the ocean from the balcony which was nice. We were also on the back side so we did not have to hear people by the pool. Another plus. However I have been to Mexico and the Dominican several times and this was the first time we both got the 'dreaded revenge'. We never drank the water and are concerned it could have been how they were cleaning glasses by the pool. There were others who also got it while we were there. I am a health professional and was concerned about how they cleaned up something that occurred near the poolside kitchens. If there is a Mexican board of health I would recommend an inspection and review of clean up policies."

"Having stayed at 12 different resorts on the Mayan Riviera over the last 15 years this resort has the worst food selection and quality that we have ever experienced. For example on Mayan night at the buffet the choice at the grill was hot dogs or what looked like frozen chicken with that slimy wet stuff on it. One of the 2 fish selections in the seafood restaurant was 'salmon'? The beach bar has a dishwasher but when it gets busy they just dip the glasses in a bucket of soapy water, rise under the tap and reuse. Noticed on our 4th night they were asking everyone to use hand sanitizer in the restaurants so I guess we were not the only ones with stomach upsets. Rooms were very clean and staff were good so ratings for 'experience,quality,value & cleanliness' all relate to the food"

"Overall we had a great time. The staff was always friendly, especially the two lead entertainers in the pool area. These two kept everyone smiling and laughing, plus would work the shows in the evening - long hours. We did have a couple road bumps with the visit, our patio door would not lock, and we asked maintenance support through the concierge, but still wasn't fixed when we left. We also had a water leak in the closet, and took two calls for maintenance support on as well. That aside, we would probably go back - maids did a great job."

"My partner and I had a fabulous experience at the resort. We booked the trip as a mystery resort based on a 4.5 rating and Oceanview. This is an intimate resort which provided a high level of comfort.
The staff were excellent.....extremely friendly and accommodating.
Our Junior Suite had an excellent view and was top notch. The cleaning staff were exceptional.
There are 4 excellent restaurants and 1 buffet which provided a nice variety. Reservations were NOT required for meals.
Nightly entertainment was provided which we enjoyed. Recreational activities were available throughout the day. The staff encouraged participation and yet respected one's approach to privacy and relaxation.
We would highly recommend this resort."
