"This was our first time with the villa and in Cabo. Kids aged 6 & 9. The hotel is very nice, extreemely clean and a very friendly environment. The staff and service was great. We elected to do the all inclusive, which I have done at a number of other resorts. At the Villa Palmar you still get a bill everytime you order something ... a drink ... a water ... have a meal. I didn't know if I was supposed to tip or not (the bill has a big line for TIP on it). So what we found ourselves doing is ordering a lot of drinks and food everytime and then tiping a couple of dollars everytime. This seemed to be a good approach because the waitress at the pool came back over and over. At the end of the week I had a bill for $50 in tips, well worth the additional service we received. Other than that being a little confusing everything was great. My kids loved the pool and the entertainment at night. We never got to eat at the Italian resturant by the beach. The resort was close to the town. They had activities everyday for the children and adults. There is plenty of parking at the resort. We did the children's swim with the dolphins through the resort ... my kids loved it ... we did spend a lot of money on the pictures through."

"This was our first time with the villa and it was an amazing trip. The place was beautiful,clean and a very friendly environment. The staffs were so friendly and hard workers. The only issue we had was the dampness of the basement we stayed at. Other than that everything was great. our family enjoyed it. This was close to the town. They had activities everyday for the children and adults. Theme dinners every night. They kept us busy."

"The hotel itself was pretty nice, although the lobby wasn't air conditioned which was a bummer given how hot it was. The bellboys and maids were very friendly and efficient, but the front desk staff certainly could have been more helpful. The rooms are okay, beds not very comfortable, but a good value. The kitchen was great and came with everything we could want. They only give you complimentary coffee on the first day which was surprising and a disappointment.

Our air conditioning wasn't working properly on the first day so we called to have it fixed (since it was 95 outside, you want the room to be cold), they said they fixed it while we were out, but it still wasn't very cold. We called again and never got a response so just got used to it.

The pool area was very nice, but the chairs fill up very early in the morning so you have to fight for a seat. We tried the sports bar, which was expensive and not very good, and the Mexican restaurant out by the pool which was not very good. I'd definitely recommend saving your money and eating at one of the much better and cheaper restaurants in town.

We were told that we could use the pool at Villa Del Arco (sister hotel next door) but were kicked out. Overall, the stay was a good deal, but I will definitely try somewhere else if I head back to Cabo again."
