"theres differing reviews on here. we stayed there for the whole week so ill give you the breakdown.
Monday-thursday its very mellow and quiet. the resort is maybe 30% full.
friday and saturday a lot more people come in, seems almost all full.
the comments about the noise: during the week absolutely quiet, no noise.
friday-sunday is different. Nikki Beach has a DJ playing House music from 12pm-7pm. its fun music, not too crazy or loud.
the resort has its own pool, but no one hardly goes there. Nikki beach is another pool right next to the resort pool. its a little nicer looking, no big whoop though. Nikki beach a lot of people come on friday n saturday. so you basically have to reserve a bed to get on that part. because they sell out of the beds. so if you dont reserve a bed or table or bottle on friday, saturday, sunday, then you can't really go there. there may be a few beds that are open.
all Nikki beach is is a nicer looking area, with a DJ playing, and good looking, younger people. drinks on Nikki beach are $10-$20 bucks. theres also expensive bottle service, few hudred bucks. basically its like a club but at a pool.
but there are places/beds on the beach part of nikki beach, and the resort pool, and of course the public beach. the only area you have to pay for a spot is on the pool part of nikki beach where the cool, attractive young party people are at from 10am to 7pm. its like $60 bucks to a few hundred bucks for a talapa/bed.
there is a Passion night club thats open thursday-saturday night. during the week theres no noise.
friday and saturday there is noise since the DJ is outside, so you canhear it from your room. its not super loud, but you can hear it. so if oyu dont want the noise, then ask for a room farther from Passions. very few people actually go to the Passions club, its pretty dead.
as far as the resort: the resrt is OK. smaller intimate resort. 150 rooms. the actual room are OK, nothing special. they have beautiful beach views.
the rooms walls are PAPER THIN, so you can hear people walking on top of you and outside your door. that could be a problem. you can hear the maids, other people, everyhting unfortunately.
the resort really doesnt have much. one restaurant with so so food. and the night club.
the avantage of teh resort is that its close to the downtown.
you can walk 3 blocks, like a 10-15 minute walk. or take a taxi like $6-$12 bucks which is expensive for a short ride.
I checked out all the other hotels/resorts on the medano beach. i saw the all inclusives. the all inclusive are totally fine and even better in my opinion. there fOod was not bad either. and they have a lot of peoPle, much more lively experience during the week, with just regular, normal people from all over.
they're pool chairs are not good and the other resorts have more older people and kids, and familys, but not that bad.
I would do the all inclusives.
ME cabo is nothing special.
the food in Cabo is expensive. $10 guacamole. lunch/dinner can cost $40-50 / person. 100 feet walk from ME cabo is the mango deck, the office, and billygans, funner areas/restaurants on the beach, with music and some entertainment. the best entertainment was at mango deck/the office where they get people to do wet t-shirt, booty shaking, and other fun things. its a lot of fun. but the food and drinks are expensive.
at night: theres nithing to do on the beach. the beach gets cold.
you can go to downtown for restaurants.
theres 3 main fun clubs in downtown.
el squid roe for more regual common people. its fun.
Mandala next door: more dressy, great music, more expensive drinks. its a lot of fun.
next door is the Pink Kitty, : another nice big club.
drinks cost $7 and up for drinks.
or a lot of people get bottle service, which is like $100,$200 bucks and up.
the clubs are all chills, and everyone dances. i mean everyone dances, no pretentions oR snootiness. its a lot of fun.
its like your big city clubs, but funner people. no cover charge.
Cabo nothing is cheap. its the same prices as the USA, or even more.
if you walk to the local areas and buy food, snacks , drinks, its the same price as the USA, its not cheaper than the USA. but its cheaper than the beach and resorts.
if you buy stuff at Nikki beach, then charge it to your room, beacuase the exchange rate at the resort is better than the Nikki Beach exchange rate. Nikki beach is its own company, and they do whatever they want, and everything is very expensive.
ME cabo has a rule that you cant bring outside food or drinks. but i saw people bringing in food/drinks/grocery bags and they didnt give them a hard time. i guess just be a little sneaky about it.
overall Cabo is not not only not cheap but its expensive. they try to rip you off a little whreever you go. with different exchange rates on the street of like 10-11 pesos per dolar, where as the resort and the going exchange rate is 13:1. but then again the resort everything just plain costs more.
so you pay wherever you go.
the allinclusive resorts the drinks are totally fine, like absolut, jack daniels, tanqueray. no grey goose or belvedere. well known good national brands. and the food is good/fine.
i saw that they also have huge party shuttles taht brigs down the people from the resorts to the clubs.
taxi islike $10-15 bucks.
and shuttle from and to the airport is $18-$20 .
overall cabo is nothing special.same as other big cities."
