Visited on business trip. The Camino Real hotel is apparently the usual place where my colleagues stay when traveling to Veracruz. It was a good value and the view from the rooms was very nice, but did not have the feel of a luxury hotel. Although I understand the rates are much higher during the vacation season. ... Breakfast buffet was decent, but the one evening we ate at the restaurant was very disappointing. ... Rooms were comfortable enough and staff was friendly. Nice looking pool. On t... Read more

Nice hotel, but not for a peaceful, relaxed holiday. The staff blast heavy music into the pool and rooms all day. Forget about taking a nap. There is a nice view of the ocean, but you will not hear it. You will hear the same song all day... This used to be a very nice hotel, but it has gone downhill recenty.

I have stayed in this hotel some times and have always enjoyed being a guest here. However this time, they had a couple of details I did not like. They closed the pool entirely all the Sunday I do not know why, because the weather was great out there, very sunny. Also I stayed two nights this time and they did not provide more bath supplies even when I finished the body cream and shampoo. Anyhow this is a very good option in Veracruz, since it is one of the few hotels with beach and well locate... Read more

Rooms are fine, but nothing special. Service is just about average for Veracruz standards (which means that you have to put up with some attitudes), but food is quite good. Be prepared to show up and have a problem at the reception desk with your reservation room.....they may give you another category. What is really really bad is the kid's club. FORGET ABOUT IT!!!

Camino Real is a very good Hotel in Boca del Rio; everything is working in the right way, staff is always helping, breakfast is above the average and the pool is enjoyable. The beach is accessibile from the pool and although Veracruz doesn't offer the best beach/seaside option in Mexico, it's nice to walk there in the morning.

This hotel might not be as luxurios as other Camino Real hotels, but it well makes up in service. We were on a city break in Veracruz and needed a comfortable place to sleep close to the shops and old city. This hotel actually also gave us a beach holiday too. The bedrooms are large and very nice, the bathrooms are clean and more than adequate. We loved the pool area, as good as any other beach hotel. The restaurant was possibly the best feature. Prices are very affordable and the service and qu... Read more
