"I just got back yesterday and had a very good time, my only issue was with the front desk and the taxi service. Upon arrival I was given the wrong room number, my dinner reservation the first night was changed from 6:30 to 8:45 by the front desk because the 6:30 was booked and when I showed up at 8:45 the host told me I missed my reservation and that it was at 6:30. I felt that the front desk staff ruined my experience which sucks because everything else was spot on from the impeccable service, friendliness of service staff, great food, great entertainment, great pool, nice room, great view, clean facility, great spa......etc. All ruined by the front desk staff. They where unresponsive, lacked personality, unfriendly and not helpful at all. My issue with the cabs there where that I dropped my cell phone in a Riu taxi cab and I called the hotel immediately after I realized and when I got. Back to the hotel and found the driver he said that we where the only people in his cab and my phone was not there, which is a lie. I told the front desk and they said they had nothing to do with it. Thanks for nothing F.D crew.

And for all of that I will not return to the Riu Palace Pacifico"

"immaculate hotel with fun, friendly and energetic hotel staff. entertaining nightly shows which my kids enjoyed. rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. my only negative was the food which was very average----overwhelming number of choices in the buffet but of mediocre quality (canned corn, canned beans). wine selection was extremely limited and tasted terrible. drinks in the pool were very watered down and barely had any alcohol. overall a fun and memorable trip!!"

"Our stay was fantastic. The accomodations were all highly rated. If we were going to give some suggestion, they should have english ESPN on TV and USA newspapers for keeping up with news and sports. We also seem to limit people in the four restaurants with reservations needed. We were barely able to get in each one to experirence the great food."

"We just returned from a wonderful stay at Riu Pacifico. Granted, our weather wasn't the greatest, but you can't change that. We were greeted immediately in the hotel lobby with mimosas and checked into our rooms, which were sparkling clean. I cannot say enough about the friendliness of the staff, everywhere, the bars, the restaurants, housekeeping and the front desk. Our bed was a little hard, but not intolerable. The atmosphere was mostly for the older crowd, not a lot of children, which was totally awesome!! We didn't eat at any of the specialty restaurants, only at the buffet, but had something different every night and have no complaints about the food. The flaming coffee was not only entertaining, but delicious!! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a beautiful and clean place to stay for relaxation and fun."

"We stayed 10 days for a destination wedding during the last 2 weeks of October 2011. The weather was just awesome. We found the resort was very clean,the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was good not great, the entertainment at night was weak, but the free use of hobie boats,wake boards,and activities through out the day wereabove average. Bernie"

"This was our first trip to Mexico and our first real vacation in almost 5 years. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are immaculate, the landscaping incredible and everything was clean and comfortable. The best part however, was the friendliness and overall service provided by the staff in the hotel. It was the first time in my life I've ever received such great service! I highly recommend it!"

"Ok, so I have been to mexico many times but never to puerto vallarta, all i have to say that if you wanted to stay somewhere there, the RIO PALACE is the place to be. the staff was great, the food was great we did not even have to leave the hotel! We had a great time, the room was nice and roomy the views gorgeous
I have nothing but good things to say we will definitely be going back!"

"This is the most beautiful location I have ever visted! the hotel is gorgeous and the staff was excellent. My new husband and I spent 7 whole glorious days at the Riu Palace. From the time we arrived, we were greeted with mimosas & smiles! The view from every angle was breathtaking...mountains 7 ocean as far as you could see! The entire staff was so warm and friendly to us and treated us more as family than guest. There was so much to do and see in the hotel alone. The entertainment crew did a Michael Jackson show that was awesome. We were told that this was the BEST hotel to vacation and that was the truth! The food was great, the variety of 5 different restaurants, was a plus. Drinks a little watered down but that was expected...still good though. We took a couple of excursions, one to Yelepa, to view the waterfalls( WOW!!) The other was Rhythm of the Nights...words cannot describe. For me, that was the highlight of the trip. The show was spectacular and the romantic dinner afterwards...perfect ending to our new beginning as husband and wife. On the boat ride back, the director had all honeymooning couples come to the front of the boat & we all danced under the full moon to 'My Girl'...falling in love all over again! "

"My husband and I visited the resort July 23-28 of 2011 for our anniversary and I must say with the help of the entire staff our time there was amazing.... we enjoyed everything they has to offer and they made us feel so comfortable everyone was so friendly I can honestly say that was the best trip that we've taken hands down and we will be returning real soon!!!"
