The rooms were clean but beat. Shower water was ALWAYS cold, not luke warm, COLD. The reason given was that the water was heated by solar. That's their theory. The grounds are not maintained very well. The beach looks nice but you can't swim in it because of the (under) current. The employees were nice. The waiters and restaurant manager were very accommodating. Due to the humidity there were lots of little critters but the mosquitos were UNBELIEVABLE.

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT!! Spend more money and go somewhere else. The worst vacation we have ever been on. Food, bar, entertainment, club, outdoor activities, etc. is all exclusive. THERE IS NONE!! It is 2 hours away from the airport. There are no businesses to interact with even close. No bus services into town. It is very expensive to go from the airport to the hotel. Don't pay for transfers. THIS HOTEL IS OUT OF THE "GOLDEN ZONE". There is no hot water in any of the rooms. We stayed in 2. Th... Read more

They asked me to pay at least two nigth in advance. I did it. Then I looked the TripAdvisor reviews and they I cancelled in time, after that there have been passed 3 weeks and I don't have my money back yet. Advise: don't go there unless you're fully sure to stay there or if you already know the place, I'm mexican and is a shame to recommend you don't stay there. The Baxar is a good option round there.

My wife and I went to this resort a few years back so I thought that I would check up on it and see if there are any improvements made. Looks like if anything, it is worse. My wife and I have travelled a fiar amoung over the years to places that really one should question ones sanity to go in the first place. Of all these places the one holiday we thought would be safe was in Mexico (This trip was pre drug wars). We were so sick there after eating at the ala cart that we were unable to leave th...
