This is an old but well mantained building which offers just the basic services nevertheless is rated as a 5 star-hotel so you will not find a minibar on your room or multiple dining choices. Due to the fact that mostly half of the rooms are old and the other half are refurbished, both have different prices and the most of the ocuppation are there for the cheap rooms so the hotel is loaded of families of local people, and therefore, if you are looking for a more intimate or classy experience, t... The Grand Hotel definitely looks amazing from the lobby all the way down to the outdoor pools. The room I was in was a grand family suite. The room was clean and luxurious. The view was amazing! The two pools are great at night time and the beach is amazing during the day. For safety reasons they close the pool and beach access early, at 9 pm. The hotel is near a Walmart, a casino, various restaurants, and movie theater. The city is very safe to walk around at night. The restaurant at the hotel ... Read more

This welcoming hotel is attractive, inviting and clean. Gorgeous modern bathrooms with walk-in showers are luxurious. Right on the beach with many fun night-spots on the strip within short and inexpensive cab rides. In walking distance of local family-run restaurants serving flavorful tamales, beer and chicken dishes day and night! Larger stores like wal-mart are conveniently located across the street, as are pharmacies, diners, handi-craft merchants, and even real-live human beings ready to... Read more

Where to start?? Ok the positive : the food is very good although by the third day you start being bored. They are renovating the hotel so some rooms are better than others and, even if you get one of the newly made rooms they have their issues. The other and last positive thing I have to say is about the personnel, they are all amazing! Really nice and accommodating to every wish you might have. Now for the negative: First of all they have a program called semi-all-inclusive (what??) it means... Read more

It is not a luxury hotel. But for family with kid it is an excellent choice. It has a big pool and the beach is nice. Sometime the beach could be crowded since it is public. However if you like people is a good place. The offer morning buffet which is very good. There are many restaurant options if you walk outside. Good hotel is you bring the whole family. For couples will not be good look for something more romantic. This is not. There is a sinagoge at the basement of hotel. There are regular ... Read more

This is a very large hotel. The buffet in the restaurant is excellent. There are two pools and of course a great beach. Our room was large with an ocean view balcony. The air conditioning was inadequate for the hot temperature and there was a slight smell of mold. Since we arrived late and we were staying only one night, we did not complain. If given a chance, perhaps they could have corrected some of the above.

We stayed for two weeks. The staff are friendly, smart, hardworking and always helpful. As for the hotel being outdated, we found it spacious, clean, with every amenity anyone could want. The pool areas are clean and fun. Beach is amazing of course, and the local traders are polite and will not harass you if you say no their goods. Food:::: We have to say that the food here is FANTASTIC.. organic, fresh, different each day, breakfast is buffet style, with everything you could possibly want. Di... Read more
