We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Emporio from March 9 2016 thru March 16th 2016. Visiting the city of Acapulco and staying at the Hotel Emporia has become an annual event for our family and over the last ten years we have had the privilege of being guests at this wonderful property. The Hotel Emporio can rightfully claim its place at the top of the list for any of the properties in the Golden Zone. From the first impression of its pristine lobby to the clean and tidy rooms with thei... Read more

To start we have stayed there before and used to recommend the hotel to others. Not any more. We arrived on 2/4. When we arrived the first room smelled like mold. They tried to find us another room and told my wife that one on the 10th floor was available. When my wife knocked on the door a half naked man answered it. They finally got us another room. This one the hairdryer threw spark and only one light worked in the bathroom. We had to meet some people so we decided to keep the room for t... Read more

This was a nice place to stay. We had a B&B option, with a large selection for breakfast that included both mexican and international dishes. The food was good and served for extended periods in the morning (7.30-12). This made having lunch optional. The pools were really great, with a section for over 18s which made the trip even better; no children running around, no shouting parents and sun beds plentiful. The views from the room were excellent and the air conditioning did the trick. Or... Read more

An impressive hotel from the moment we arrived. The front desk and the hotel staff were very efficient and helpful. Our room was beautiful, with a full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and all rooms have an ocean view. Very comfortable beds! Resteraunts were excellent so was the waiter staff. I loved the adult pools and the covered cabana beds by the pool. I enjoyed the beach in a private cabana with waiter staff. A $20 deposit for the beach cabana which goes towards food and drink orders ... Read more

Great Place - would highly recommend choosing this hotel above others in the area. The pools and beaches are perfect. We appreciated the free beds around the pool that was adults only. The kid friendly lazy river pool and pool bar was fun too. The hotel is modern and clean.

Wanted to see Acapulco since I saw the Elvis movie when I was a kid. Finally was able to and had to stay here. Great location, great views, great pool areas. The rooms are a little musty as are a lot of hotel rooms in tropical areas. But the beds were comfortable and the TV had a lot of channels, some in English. The grounds are very nice considering the location. Very airy lobby and clean. Nice restaurants on the premises too. It was hot but the ac in the room worked well and I never wanted for... Read more

We very much enjoyed this hotel. It is in the heart of the city, right next to the beach with beach access. Rooms were clean and comfortable, though not uber luxurious. The pools were excellent, particularly the adult only pool. Service was great. One of the night managers: Michelle , was amazing! He was super helpful and always courteous.

The hotel is beautiful and welcoming. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the view out of this world. Loved spending time in the balcony. The beds were comfortable. One night we order pizza and they help us by making the call for us. The location was great!!! With in walking distance to the mercadito and many many restaurants to choose from. No issues and highly recommend.

I just got back with my family from Emporio Hotel in Acapulco. I had already stayed 2 years ago and decided to stay again this trip. I really like it here. The staff are always so courteous and friendly especially our housekeeper Carolina. What a sweet and hardworking woman she is. She kept our room so clean throughout our stay. Our package deal included breakfast . It was absolutely delicious. Everything my family and I tried we liked. At the Omelet station Marlon makes the best omelets and all... Read more

This is a wonderful Hotel yet I found a very funny picture of the tent card of their Bufet and I would recommend them hiring a bilingual Food and Beverages secretary. Best Regards. A 2-minute walk from Isla El Morro, this relaxed, bayside resort is 8 km from Caletilla Beach and 14 km from Playa Majahua. Offering balconies with ocean views, the bright rooms feature flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, safes, coffeemakers and minibars, plus private bathrooms. Suites add separate living areas. Room serv... The hotel is nice but service is terrible. - You have to wait about half an hour to get your car, while the hotel was almost empty. - While waiting to check-in, you have to stand with no air conditioning/fans for about another half an hour. - After that long wait and getting the wrong type of room and complaining, staff tried to convince me that was what i reserved and didn't want to help me. Until i screamed and talked to the manager. - Family Swimming pool was closed due to "maintenance" (p... Read more

The only real tourist attraction in Acapulco: La Quebrada, cliff divers point, also with a very good restaurant, but very dangerous spot regarding the safety of the cliff divers.. If you go now in Acapulco expect all types of police/military/special services/security cars on the main boulevard, every 100 meters; the city is dead from 10 years I could say, the beach is full of locals trying to sell you anything.. Emporio Acapulco - medium range hotel, good location, old furniture, old rooms, old ... Read more

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last twenty years. The location is great. We had a studio, so had a small kitchen which was nice to have breakfast and lunch in the room, and for any leftovers from dinner. Short walk to Mega store for groceries. It does look like area is somewhat run down the last few years, but we still feel very safe. Even though they charge us for the cabana, we use that fee for food and beverages. Enjoy watching people on the beach and venders do not bother... Read more

The hotel has wonderful a garden and outdoor common areas and really nice beach. All the rooms are facing the water and you wake up with the sound of waves and birds. Inside is blah: feels like you are in a beehive, busy restaurant with average food and overpriced buffet. The good thing about the buffet is the selection of fruits and fruit juices. For some reason the room service food was better. There is a gringo ribs restaurant as part of the hotel. Didn't try it obviously. The staff was ve... Read more

I recently stayed at Hotel Emporio Acapulco, and let me tell you how wonderful my experience was. The employees greeted me with a smile and welcoming comments. The room was spacious and clean -I loved reading the welcoming notes and questions from the person cleaning the room. The view of Acapulco bay from my room was to contemplate and enjoy. I experienced the most amazing thunderstorm one of those nights, with lightning connecting the sky above and the ocean below. The food was delicious and... Read more

I sure did like this hotel back in December of last year. The hotel it is in good shape. If your looking to have a good time with the family is a nice hotel, the only thing that I would recommend is that they should make this hotel a all inclusive. They do provide you with a restaurant buffet and by the pool area the do have a snack, bar. How ever you can take your personal drink which is great. The suites can be better but is OK. The hotel is located near clubs & bars. You also can find store, ... Read more
