We stayed for one week at this hotel paying for a economy double room. On arrival we could go straight to our room (which sadly didn't have a sea view) but didn't matter as we were out exploring Malta everyday until late. The double was two twin beds which we simply pushed together (although the cleaners separated them everyday). The room is basic but fully functional, we had a small window and a ceiling fan to help with the heat and humidity. The bathroom could have done with an extractor fan ... Read more

Having stayed in this hotel before we knew what we were getting, we just love the place for it's position in Sliema. Bus stops outside going in both directions, easy, rest of the day is yours, only need it to sleep in, and breakfast, which is ample. Rooms large and comfortable, shower, etc.. Will only go Sept., April as it's to hot for my wife in summer, but still great value.

For a European 3 stars standard, this hotel should be downgraded to two stars, or less.... Not just the facilities are basic, but the place is dirty, outdated, in urgent need of maintenance. Shower is awful, bed/pillow are uncomfortable, no hand towel and hairdryer, floor was dirty and there are wall and ceiling stains everywhere. Window faced a wall. Toiletries were of poor quality. On a positive note, staff is friendly and location is good for promenade and ferry, close to many amenities.

We arrived in Malta to find we were out booked to another hotel due to maintenance work...Overbooking. The hotels sister was nice and reception were pleasant. We went to the booked hotel and reception was quite bolshy. We booked a sea view and a standard room. We checked in to find the room sea view was not it was dark and opening the window starred at the picture which is attached. This hotel was central but very much average. The television was so tiny and not enough charging outlets. The Wi-Fi sucked in the lobby area and front desk was not helpful very much. The hotel needs updating including retraining with staff. Would not recommend staying here as there were no toiletries and iron.

We booked a tripple room with sea view that is more expensive but I think its worth it. The room is fine. It is spacious and the view is lovely. Ok its not something luxurious but it is a fine room and the hotel is in a convenient place very nea to bus station and in walking distance(about 5 mins) from sliema ferry to valletta

Stayed there 4 years on the trot, never again. Room standards dropped each year, no evening meals last time I went. Some staff are great but redheaded old lady on front desk needs an attitude transplant. Wouldn't use the hotel again it's too run down

If you are looking for the Ritz this hotel is not for you - but if you want a budget hotel that is clean then I can recommend this hotel. We had a seaview room on the 4th floor and it was bright and clean (I think some of the non seaview rooms were not so bright from seeing in them when we walked passed). The seaview rooms have a good sized balcony with seats to enjoy the view as well as soft seats in the room. There were both "uk" 3 pin sockets and "european" 2 pin sockets in the room. ... Read more

having decided to visit a friend in Malta she surprised me by booking me into this hotel. like some of the reviews it possible could do with a bit of an update, but never the less i found it clean comfortable and welcoming and lovely sea views. you are so central to everything = places to see, food eateries, transport on your doorstep, shopping. i personally would stay there again, after all how long do you spend in a hotel room ?.

The bed was awful, you could feel the springs through the mattress so much that I had to take the nasty top cover (I don't think those have ever been laundered), fold it in half and sleep on that. No other blanket so I had to cover myself with my extra cloths to stay warm. I tried another room and it was the same. The second room had two beds and one of them the bedding clearly had not been changed and the pillow sheets either, it was gross. About 50% of the hotel staff was great and the other h... Read more

Just home after 7 nights (June 2016). Had a sea view room which was a godsend as the room itself was dismal. Air con didn't work and was covered in cobwebs, we had to complain mid week that the the room and bathroom not being cleaned properly ( they did act on this straight away). Walls looked as if they had been painted by a child. Mould in the bathroom around bath and basin edges. Extractor fan didn't work. Smell of drains in the bathroom. Fresh towels had a grey tinge. we paid extra and had a room on the fifth floor with a veranda and sea view. the room was quite large and the bedding was changed about every third day. The room was kept very clean and I have no complaints about this except that it was noisey. Not due to internal noises but from the road below which was extremely busy with busses and cars etc. The view was fabulous looking out over the bay and we spent many hours sat on the veranda watching the yachts and ships and liners passing by.This was ... I don't use to complain, but this experience was BAD. I only save a very kind Italian receptionist who helped us a lot during the stay. 1) We booked via hotel the transfer from airport, we had to wait 40 minutes, with MY NAME written on a piece of paper and LEFT ON A STAND at the arrival area. Kidding? 2) They gave our room to somebody else by mistake. Result: we arrived in our room with towels and bed already used. AWFUL. 3) Requested a bed for couple. NO. Nice hotel, friendly staff, and an excellent location! A plus for the sunbath terrace on the 8th floor and especially for the view, an awesome panoramic view of Sliema waterfront! A minus would be for the Wi-Fi, available only at the casual lounge from the 7th floor ..and in the room next to the casual lounge, which I was lucky to have :) Breakfast is scheduled between 7:30 and 10:00 AM.

it ain't a flash hotel but the location is great. No safe, fan didn't work, no iron and no free wifi in rooms. You have to travel to the 7th floor to get free wifi... A little bit 1990's guys! Broken lift for whole stay... Yet no one bothered to put a sign on the door. Staff were helpful. The place needs one of those renovation tv shows to go though it and bring it back to life.

I can tell the same as everybody here- You should definetly pick sea view room. You will have nice spot for evenings. Hotel is small, but cozy. In a good place of the city, near bus stop and mall. If you like sunbathing, there is place for that near hotel.

Easy check in on arrival. There is an unloading zone right in front of the hotel. A welcome feature with Sliema's heavy traffic. There is no hotel on-site parking if you have a hire car. Room is spacious and comfortable; recommend rooms with a sea view. Tower Road has continuous heavy traffic which is noisy. Try and get a room on level 5. There is a 'sun deck' on the top level with a shower for patrons, but no pool. Free wifi on level 6 in the lounge area with TV and toilet for guests. Breakfast... Read more
