Great place to stay and enjoy Batu Ferringhi. Great location, great amenities, staff really friendly, rooms clean and spacious... can't fault it.. Would definatley stay here again.. Food was excellent and the views were great. Walk straight onto the beach, from the well kept gardens. Beds were comfy and showers were tops. Stayed in a 5 star a week or so later and this place was an equal if not better..

Stayed four nights. Service was friendly and efficient. Well located. Bus stops for 102 and penang open top buses were right in front of the establishment. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony to enjoy the peaceful sea view. My suggestions for improvement are 1) not segregate the pool as it makes the area for swimming even smaller 2) process the tap water so it looks clear (was unappealing when bath tub was filled). Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay. Value for money!

The hotel was good, We broke last minute through a travel website so got good deal. At that time it allowed children below 12 to stay free with parents . There were 2 double beds which was enough for 4 of us. Breakfast was also provided ( it was good and filling(. So overall a good value for money. The hotel has 2 wings. We booked a standard room, but then upgraded to the beach wing room with a very comfortable King bed (very important for a pregnant lady like me). My husband put a note to the hotel about our babymoon trip, and we were greeted with a nicely-decorated room i.e. with all the ballons, complimentary fruits and drinks. The breakfast buffe... Our family short getaway to Penang to unwind for our 14th anniversary plus the kids school break. The kids had lotsa fun at the kids club, the pool, table tennis and the PS3 in-room entertainment. We stayed at the Feringghi Tower with "Kids Suite". Superb service by the staffs, all super friendly. Front desk called us after 5 minutes we checked in our room and that is something that most of hotels in Malaysia lacked off. Keep that one up HI! However, since we stayed at the tower wing, we had to cross the road via the footbridge in order to reach most facilities (pool, beach, kids club, restaurant etc.) which are located at the beach wing. Rooms is spacious and recently renovated. Hallways and grounds are aged. good location in batu ferringhi. Hotel provides free shuttle to georgetown. It is near to the tropical fruit farms, durian farms, entopia butterfly farm. rooms are reasonably clean and comfortable. The hotel fronts the beach and make beach access easy. Would have been great if the beach are cleaned a bit more in the morning.. Though not excessively dirty, but a clean beach is also welcome :) Hotel staff are generally friendly and helpful. The children like the resort very much.

The staff go the extra mile to get to know you. I got to know Siva from F&B. He made a point to chat up with me every morning and that made me feel welcomed. Service staff, Audrey was always ready with a smile every morning. My kids felt very comfortable moving around the buffet table and enjoyed their hotel stay. Will certainly revisit with my family. Lastly, the boys enjoyed playing Table Tennis, air Hockey and 8 ball pool at the 1st floor tower block. Was a great indoor option on a rainy day.

I am currently staying in this property Room 2029. The whole staying experience is horrible and I truly wonder what lousy service is next! First, the front desk asked for double payment when we had already paid to our booking agency. Second, the housekeeping was so absent minded to forget providing us with bath towels, mineral waters etc... Example, when we asked for 4 towels, he came with only 2 towels. We sent our clothes for laundry and indicated all clothes to be on hanger. When the lau... Read more

Stayed here 3 nights in Beach Wing Hill View. The room was clean and large with everything required. The hotel staff are very friendly including the pool bar staff Jad even met the duty manager Dominique who gave us some great information. Yes the hotel is old and in need of an update but great location right on the beach also with night markets at your door step. The only negative for me was the buffet breakfast was very average and mainly asian variety. Would recommend this hotel for location ... Read more

It's value for money. The receptionists were helpful and of course, friendly plus well mannered! Plus point. The hotel room my friends and I had stayed in was really good - clean! Most importantly, the bathroom was really clean as we are quite picky when it comes to cleanliness of the bathroom. Also, the hotel has direct access to the beach - very convenient. Overall, good! The hotel and the facilities are quite nice. The only remark I could have is that the swimming pool needs frequent cleaning as well as the area around it. Would definitely come here again. Location is also super good, a lot of restaurants in walking distance. Wifi is not super fast but connection is available all over the resort.

Price - Rating: 5/5. I booked the hotel from booking.com for RM450+/night. I was being upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite with 2 double bed in the room. The room was very spacious. What ever the amount I booked from the booking.com, that is the final amount I need to pay to the hotel, unlike in Copthorne, where there were too many hidden charges. The hotel is on the beach which is nice. The bathrooms need doing up in the beach rooms and they also have no balconies. The tower part has been done up and look's 4 star. The lobby and dining room also are pretty poor. There was a lot of building noise going on because they are adding a spar. I feel that they should of improved the lobby area first. This hotel was a change from the Malaysian normal expectations. The rooms were huge, we had 3 people staying and had a room with 3 queens beds. House keeping was very late each day, sometime getting to our room at 4pm. They even forgot to supply enough towels one day. The hotel food was excellent, the pool was huge with nice large fresh towels, and each day there were activities for guests to join in. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room is not sound proofed from road noise. Very noisy and could not sleep all the night. My wife was in her sabbatical holiday before birth and we are going home needing a holiday. Holiday Inn Penang has to be the worst resort hotel in Penang. Let's start with the rude and cold staff that not only lack customer service but apparently it costs them to smile.
