Helpful staff from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant although the front desk did mix up our check in requirements. Restaurant has a good choice for buffet breakfast although it is a bit cramped. Ideal location near grocery stores, food court and tourist attraction (river cruise).

Seems freshly refurbished, had great facilities, fast lifts (important for those on high floors). The entertainment system was among the best - new internet HD TV with free latest movies. Good breakfast spread. Main complaint was the queue at check-in and check out..hotel needs more counters. Also the shower outlet was unable to cope with the amazingly strong water pressure - great shower though.

As always, before I make a booking in any hotels anywhere, I will check the Reviews & Ratings from Tripadvisor, Booking.com & Agoda site. I stayed from 29th-31st May. I arrived before 2pm & was glad that all my 3 Premier rooms (2 of them are connecting) were ready. I couldn't agree more with most Reviews abt how spacious & good the rooms are , also, the staffs who are very polite & obliging. Well, this hotel is located at the heart of Melaka city. It's equipped with everything you can imagine. 7 stars at its finest. My partner and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. I didn't expect much as Ramada as an old hotel, one of the oldest in Malacca. But was pleasantly surprised the moment we walked into the hotel. It is well refurbished and the service was excellent from concierge to front desk to housekeeping to F&B to security. The rooms are large and feel new. They are well kept and clean too. Will definitely stay here the next time we visit Malacca again.

Stayed in this hotel several years ago during the transition from Renaissance to Ramada Plaza, the experience then was not good. However, had a pleasant surprise this time. The hotel is nicely renovated and guest rooms are well decorated. The renovated Club Lounge is spacious, offered magnificent panorama view of the entire city. Breakfast spread at the club lounge is surprisingly decent, Chef Zaki was fantastically attentive and willing to go out of the way to cater to our request. Congratulati... Read more

We were looking forward to our first stay at the Ramada Plaza after reading all the wonderful reviews. The hotel was easy to find and parking is available in the hotel and an open air car park is just across the road. Parking in the hotel car park is not complimentary for guests (although I think it should be) but at RM5 per stay. The hotel car park really needs a fresh coat of paint which is a stark difference to the refurbished interior of the hotel. The ceiling above the lobby lounge coul... Read more

We loved Ramada for the clean and spacious room. We were there on 2nd June for 3 wonderful nights. This was our 2nd time here. There was this mishap at the checking in counter that day but the fronliners managed to fix the damage tactfully. We provided suggestions for improvement that were later taken note seriously by your 2 amazing ladies namely Ms Norhayati and Ms Susila. The Ramada Plaza was just a little off the main attraction but a nice leisure walk will be a good form of exercise to get to the local attraction. Quiet, a very laid back city with minimum hustles of a busy city. Evening time, you just sit back and relax gazing at the night sky.

Short distant to Jonker street about 12-15 min walk. Breakfast selection was good. Near the hotel, there were many eateries around so don't worry about going hungry. This hotel has benefited greatly from being refurbished. The rooms now feel modern with space in the bathroom and power showers. The pool is a good size and great for the kids to cool off in. There's also plenty of parking, which although chargeable is discounted for guests. Location wise it's close to the new shopping centre which includes a seaquarium and about a 900 metre walk from Jonker street. Parking can be a real problem in Malacca and that alone is enough to recommend this hotel!

We stayed in this hotel in Oct 2016 and it was awesome. The room was spacious and clean. There were complimentary drinks, iron with ironing board and safe box. Your name is displayed on the TV as a way of greeting which was nice. This is our first hotel with this type of greeting. Strong Wi-Fi. Varieties of food for breakfast. There was a man with sarong (sorry, I do not know his name) walking around the restaurant during breakfast, offering us his special teh tarik and toasted breads. It tasted... Read more

We stayed as a family of 3 for 2 nights in Oct 2016. The stay was uneventful and pleasant. Location wise, we liked that it was slightly out of the main attractions so we didn't have to deal with the jams once we drove out. It was still pretty accessible to the joker street area and shopping complexes though. The room was generally clean, except for the toilet when we first checked in. We though those were permanent stains until we discovered them gone the next day. Other than that, the room ... Read more

Ramada hotel is a very old yet classic hotel that still stands out in this new century. Hotel has a clean floor which is at 9th floor, there you can have a very wide view of Kampung Morten Melaka. Pool has 9ft depth which most of the hotels will not have. We enjoy our swimming sessions and of course the nice Malacca town view. The only Improvement that I would like to highlight is the sound proof. We can heard the noise from outside corridor or next room capacity easily. This is quite distractin... Read more

My team and I led a delegation of about 80 pax to Malacca for a free & easy trip. It was an interesting trip with some things going as planned and others, not so much. However, I can say with certain conviction that the hotel surpassed all our expectations. With impeccable rooms and state of the art facilities, everyone felt at ease and well taken care of during their stay, even more so when we had the function room prepared for our pre-dawn congregational prayers on the morning of 13 November... I have been going back and forth to Melaka since 2008. And this is the first time I've tried Ramada. I stayed there from Nov 22-24, 2016. Basic amenities are clean and in working order. Great spacious and clean rooms at the 23rd floor. Fast elevators help me be accurate with my meeting times either for breakfast downstairs or for a conference call up in my room. Breakfast buffet was comprehensive. Regarding the staff, they are really friendly and accommodating. Receptionist was pleasant ... Read more

We had a three day stop over whilst travelling from Auckland to London. We had a Junior Suite on the 20th floor the room was very spacious and pleasant with two large televisions and free films. We were disappointed that there was no bath. The pool was outstanding as was the breakfast all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were surprised that there did not seem to be any shuttle services to the town centre or the airport. We discovered that there was a delightful walk from the Hotel to... Read more

No regrets on choosing Ramada Hotel for our Team Building event. It was an awesome experience. Their team are in good processes of making, communicating, implementing and reviewing decisions. Great teams don??t just happen. Nevertheless, their teams fit together like puzzle pieces are the result of hard work and thoughtful leadership. Thank you, we have so much enjoyed working with you and look forward to work with you again in the near future.

Great hotel to crash... or for a weekend getaway. Stayed for a night. Great room for the price paid. Clean room. Great movie selection and it's all free. Definitely will come again. No bath tub though... The rain shower was a dream.

Love the staff there. Everyone is well trained and they know how to treat like a 5 star hotel. The room was nice. We manage to get an early check in at 12pm by request. Ample parking too. We stayed for two days. The swimming pool is also children friendly.

We stayed here over the weekend and it was very enjoyable! Full review of stay below. My friends and I drove down from Kuala Lumpur - parking in the hotel car park was easy and affordable (MYR 5 per stay - multiple entries). If you're not a fan of sitting in traffic to get around the city, my suggestion is to leave your car parked in the hotel and walk out. Special thanks and mention to the General Manager of the hotel, Edouard Reizian, who made our stay extra comfortable with his warm hospitali... Read more

It is a modern hotel and the rooms are quite nice with no unpleasant surprises. However, after check-in when we arrived in our room with the porter and luggage, there was a definite smell of smoke and an ash tray on the coffee table. The porter told us the 17th floor was a smoking one. We all went back to Registration where I told the lady who assigned me my room about the problem, and that she should always assume that US guests do not smoke since the vast majority does not. She then said the h... Read more
