Check in 2nd Jun, check out 4th June 2016 We were looking for a break within the city of KL, partly to chill out and partly to celebrate my birthday. We sourced through a few international hotels but ended giving a try with The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur...... and little did we know we were up for surprises!!! We booked a suite at the Majestic Wing. Check-in was swift. As we wanted a room that's brighter and more windows, our request was granted with all the specs we wanted and more! That was ... Read more

The bath tub was very spacious. Breakfast was delicious and there was a great range to choose from. The staff were very attentive with filling up your tea and coffee. Where do I begin? Probably need to start with statement that it was an absolutely perfect stay. Perfect in every way. We did search really a lot prior to selecting the hotel and finally did decide in favor of The Majestic and now we completely sure that did make a right choice. From the moment we entered the hotel till the very moment we left we did feel and were treated like a royalty. After a week in a depressing hotel in Petaling Jaya, we moved into the Majestic for a two day treat. It was fabulous, especially the buffet breakfast and dinner (never had lunch there). It is a bit pricey and we fell for the 'upgrade deal' wich basically doubled the price of the room for the fantasy of being treated like royalty (and we were!) in the old wing. It included a butler, free laundry, use of the contents of the minibar, afternoon tea and the cocktail hour plus lodging in the old wing ... Read more

This is a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. They made us a packed breakfast to take to the airport for our early flight. Free bus shuttle service to KL sentral and petronas towers. Would love to come back here! The only downside was that the temperature of the pool water was slightly too cold for us.

I booked my 4 night visit via British Airways, and opted to pay to upgrade to a colonial suite for an exceptionally good price. Prior to my visit, I emailed the hotel a few times, and always received prompt and helpful replies. Following the instructions from the Majestic, on arrival at Sentral station, I found the courtesy bus very easily, so no need to look for a taxi for the short transfer to the hotel. On arrival, my bags were whisked away and Felix on reception escorted me to the colonial ... Read more

On a whim, my husband and I changed our stay at the Majestic from 4 days to two weeks and we didn't look back! We stayed in the Colonial Wing and enjoyed the Majestic Club privileges. (Brekkie, tea, cocktail hour, mini-bar, laundry, etc). For two people taking their time in KL, we quickly were made to feel at home everywhere in the hotel. I visited KL with my mum for work purposes during Ramadhan and had some friends over for buka puasa that night. Initially, I had kind of underestimated the buffet quality as they had told us the big buffet was fully-booked and that only the local food banquet was available. Gave that a try anyway and boy was I impressed. There were so many food options that I couldn't try everything even though I was starving. Nothing short of delicious and I choose this over any other kind of buffet. Our room ... Read more

The majestic is a rustic, charming little hotel that takes you back to British colonial times. I stayed in the old wing and it turned out great. I wouldn't want to stay in the new wing as the whole point was to immerse oneself in nostalgia. Do have dinner at the colonial cafe, enjoy the service, and lounge entertainment. The spa is also worth a visit, but be prepared to pay top dollar - that would be my only peeve, that the spa is rather pricey.

The Majestic is both a historic hotel dating back to colonial times as well as a hyper modern hotel. It is actually two hotels in one with the old part of the hotel snugged in behind the new part. During a longer trip we tried both the old and - upon our return to Kuala Lumpur - also the new part. The old ems of history and is really cosy whereas the new is very modern design and efficient. I wouldn't recommend the big restaurant on the ground floor near the lobby area unless you love buffets ... Read more

Enough has been said about how nice this hotel is. I agree it has a lovely setting, good buffett spread and have the prettiest outdoor high tea place. My complaints... No internet the whole day. And when it comes on, its super slow. Its a sin nowadays for hotel not to have internet. Nobody answer my phone call. I have to go down to the lobby twice to request for extra towel because the first request was ignored.

Really top class and in fact one of the best I've ever stayed in. Particulalry considering the size of the room we had and the wall length window through which we could enjoy the Kuala Lumpar skyline. All requests were met extremely promptly and the luxury of the accommodation was a real joy. Breakfast buffet was vast and of top quality. Lovely and classy not to be asked to do a Tripadvisor review by the staff.

Beds were very comfortable, air conditioning excellent, bathtub was deep. Food was ok. Pool and gym were good. Had a short 2 nights stay at the hotel and really love it. Room was comfortable and clean. Beds were quite comfortable. We had the 'modern-style' room as they were the only one with twin beds. It will be nice if they could have twin beds in the colonial style suites too. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Though the variety for breakfast is great, the taste fall short in many of the items. Walls are quite think i think as we could hear noise from the corridor quite easily in the room. Ni... Read more

Recently refurbished the Majestic offer luxury at a great price. If like me you enjoy a bit f style this is the place for you. Strong colonial background reinstated with the modernisation and it is a splendid end product, backed up by friendly attention staff. Rooms of the highest quality and in themselves modern. The hotel was booked for me by my travel agent. I had an overnight connection in KL and after a punishing work/travel schedule I had asked them if I could have a little luxury on the evening I was to get off after 6 six days of wining and dining clients, in three cities across Vietnam; which I assure you is not as much fun as you might think. The external of Majestic hotel is nice but the same cannot be said for the interior nor the service provided. We stayed in a deluxe room but was surprised to see that amenities were not complete; there was no shower gel nor body lotion. It was only after calling the housekeeping that we found out that the cleaner forgot to replace/replenish them. That said, there are free shuttles that run regularly, all day to the most frequented sites and the Hotel is within walking distance of several important tourist destinations. I have stayed in the Majestic a few times now, and it is one of my favourites. It is well-located, in an area with a number of good colonial-era buildings, and the 1932 hotel building is still in use. Although most of the rooms are in a modern block, it has echoed the earlier period, mainly through the tasteful use of art deco style. A bonus is that, instead of the usual pop band in the bar, they have a quartet performing jazz standards. Rooms are spacious, with very well-equipped bathrooms ... Read more
