Stayed in a group, A good hotel in a perfect location for local kulinary (street food). Even got the perfect oloiya within walking in room Wifi was super good. Love it. Breakfast was good too. Room was actually clean and nice but unfortunately I got a spotty cover like an oil spot on my bed. Apart from a "grumpy no smile at all" female reception upon check in and a spot on my bed, overall was a good hotel to stay in chinatown. .

In Chinatown KL, this hotel stands out as one of the best. It is the tallest around the Chinatown vicinity. The lobby have a wide space to move around and is clean too. There are 2 counters at the lobby where you can purchase bus tickets to Singapore. If you are interested to travel around, you can enquire and even book the tours there. It is only a 5 minutes walk to Chinatown where you can do your bargain hunting. When evening comes, there are plenty of food stalls along the road where you can... Read more

A well located hotel in China town. Close to street food and shopping. Easy walking distance to many interesting places. The hotel room was clean and tidy,. The staff were uninterested, lacked interaction with guests. Breakfast was terrible. Mostly frozen foods deep fried! No chef to prepare fresh food. Only white bread, no pastries or yoghurt. Juice was not fresh. Fruit consisted of two types of melon. If you don't eat melon, no fresh fruit! I tried calling house keeping and reception for c... Read more

We booked this as a filler hotel for one night and we were glad to be off to our next place. This is a solid 3 star hotel. It's in need of a good spruce up in the rooms with lots of wear and tear in the furniture and carpets. Our rooms smelled very strongly of cigarettes despite being a non smoking floor. The location for Chinatown and central market was fantastic! This hotel is what it is so we were happy with what we got for the price but i won't be rushing back!

For years we stayed at an adjacent Hotel in china town without knowing about this awesome hotel. This hotel is hardly 50 meters from Petaling street. The rooms are large and comfortable with the option of inter-connecting rooms for families! The breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly and english speaking. Overall an excellent stay close to all the attractions in KL.

We had our stay in this hotel from 30th May to 3rd June with my family of 12 people .The day before our check out i & my husband went on the reception to request them for the late check out & if we need late check out till 7.00 pm what will be extra charges. The staff named Adam spoke to my husband in a rude manner & when we complained the incharge for that night in the hotel about the ill treatment he back fired us that Adam has just come in & he is busy so don't disturb. This was truly rude w... If you like China town then this is the perfect location for you. The hotel is right next to China town. Not only that China town is near but there's the tube also near the location is good. The room was a good size I really like it apart from the bathroom I found it too dark also it always smelled of pee. I spent 2 night at this hotel.

The hotel is a very short taxi trip from KL Sentral (13 ringit ). On arrival reception had our booking ready and we were in our room in no time. Our room is spotless and housekeeping are fast and thorough. The variety at breakfast has increased again since last year and is more than adequate. We also like the proximity of this hotel to transport and some of the best Indian and Chinese meals we've tasted.

For a busy traveler in KL, The Five Elements Hotel is just about what you need. It's location in Chinatown provides access to the daily things that a traveler needs, from street foods to memorabilia, from cheap clothes to great buys. The view at the penthouse is marvelous. The room is good and spacious overlooking the Kuala Lumpur skyline highlighting the blend of the cultural Malaysia and its signature edifices- the Telecom Tower and the famous Putrajaya. But because of the one-way traffic alo... Read more

Stayed here two years ago and it was pretty decent back then, hence the decision to stay here again this year. However, the moment we entered our room on the 12th floor, it reeked so badly of smoke smell despite it being a non-smoking floor. The smell continued to linger in the room, and even the toilet for our entire duration of stay, which was a mere one night. I called the reception to request for a change of room, but apparently they were fully booked and we couldn't do anything about it... Read more

We have recently spent 2 nights here and couldn't be happier. Such a great location, food, markets and the Hop On Hop Off bus right at your doorstep. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

You will not find a better place to stay if you want in on the action that is Chinatown and Petaling St. However the breakfast is pretty average and the wifi, although supposed to be on each floor, is not that great either. If neither of those things concern you too much then this budget hotel is actually surprisingly good quality. We paid less than $50 a night for twin room.

The entrance hall was looking decent but when we enterered in the room (a superior one) was looking like from a scary movie, really far from the pictures. Everything was dirty (walls, courtains, towels....); the furniture was broken and we even found a cockroach in the bathroom. The stuff was very unfriendly (except one young guy at the reception). Location was very good right in Chinatown, apart from that i wouldnt recommend any of my friends to go there.

We stayed here for 4 days in 10th floor.View from the room is ok. location is very good, near to petalling street market.Room was neat, well maintained.Kettle with milk and coffee powder, fridge available in the room.24 hours hot water was there. Bathroom is neat and shower was excellent. The only drawback is food(breakfast) here. We are pure veggies from chennai, india and food here was not upto the mark and the choices were very less.We had to eat only bread and jam. However since the hotel is nea... Read more

Stayed here from Dec 4-6. It's a pleasant stay. My room is on the 13th floor. Small but enough for one person. The room is kinda clean, there's stains (coffee I think) in the dresser. Ac is good, hot water, free toiletries, bottled water and coffee. Wifi is ok. Breakfast is ok.
