Room and amenities is good . The hotel is situated in a very busy and lively location, with the Hanifa Dept.Store adjacent to it, which is a plus point for travellers.Money changers nearby and shops nearby mostly caters for the indian and malay travellers. Lot of eatery and restaurants . The kababish restaurant at the 14 flr is recommended for their india specilaities. Breakfast is good and at the 14 flr . Nice view and fresh air in the morning. The Star point hotel was the best place to stay with so many tourist spots near by. Especially many jwellery shops and the Sangeetha Hotel with tasty snacks is near by. When you book the stay, better to book it with the booking sites than the direct booking through hotel. You will get enough discount when you book through the hotel booking sites. So overall a recommended place to stay becoz of its cleanliness and with many tourist attractions nearby.

Don't wish that even your worst enemies get to stay in a hotel such as this one. Pathetic is an understatement. Shabby, unkempt, neglected. Cockroaches have a field day there. My travel agent from Bangalore that's part of Thomas Cook booked me in this hotel to make a killing on the profits. And sure they did but winning one helluva unhappy customer. The rooftop coffee shop is an apology, The rooms tiny, dirty, the shower room just enough for one to stand and turn around. Made the mistake of n... Read more

I was on brief business trip recently and have not booked any hotels. Stopped to check at StarPoints Hotel. At first I was told the rooms were fully booked by the counter staff. However after the staff double checked with the duty manager,(I presume), there was a room available for 2 persons. I was given a room on the 11th floor. The room is generally clean, however the door could not be locked properly. The shower drain was blocked and this flooded the shower floor. Nevertheless, the service wa... Read more

The only decent thing about this hotel is that it is located to shops and couple of indian restaurants (saravana bhavan, sangeetha). Rest is nothing to talk about. Noisy and dirty areas outside the hotel, the rooms are very small. With my family and the luggage, we had to jump over beds to go to the bathrooms. I was given a room that faced the back of a building, it was quite depressing. Ok for a business traveler for 1 night. Not suitable for a family.

Situated on a busy area. Compact rooms suited for short stay. Easy access to malls, shops and restaurants. Good mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian food for breakfast. Very close to Masjid India mosque. Staff were helpful and efficient in managing our luggage. This hotel held our luggage for us after checking out, while we did our last minute shopping before leaving to the airport in the evening.

We booked the hotel through a travel agent. On arrival we found that this place is situated at a very crowded market location not good for a stay. This hotel do not offer any recreational facilities to it's guests. No swimming pool, no lawns, no play area nothing. The most annoying part of our stay was-The restaurant manager named Mr PK is not at all suitable for the hospitality industry. His attitude and behaviour was really annoying and very insulting. My sister and I went to the restaurant... Read more

Small rooms but adequate enough for a night's sleep. Well maintained and clean. Breakfast is free and a lot of options. There is a supermarket in the basement. A vegetarian Indian restaurant in the lane behind the hotel. The location is central but may not be safe after 9. Wifi was not free when I visited. Really late review coming in. Apologies.

The hotel is located in Little India. The place wasn't that great but Masjid Jameks' station saved it, The staff was unprofessional, they couldn't even give me a map of the city.first they gave us a dark and humid room with poor airconditioning and lots of insects then I demanded another room so they changed it and everything was okay

This is a really basic hotel room , so ideal for tourists who, just want a place to crash in at night after sightseeing , touring KL the entire day. Stayed here for 2 nights with family. The room was clean with all basic amenities like coffee maker , television , small refrigerator , room safe in it. As we were 3 people , an extra bed in the room , took up most of the walking space. The small bathroom was clean with a shower cubicle, separating the wet and dry areas. Only minus was that, ther... Read more

Stinky almirahs, rickety doors, hostile receptionist and unattractive food menu. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. I have travelled many places across the world and I was quite excited about being at KL. This hotel just spoiled it for me.

I was in KL for a flying visit and decided to book at Starpoints because it's right in the heart of masjid jamek, one of my favourite areas of the city. On check in I explained to the manager that I had to be at the airport at midnight the next night and enquirer about extended checkout. For a very reasonable fee he agreed to extend my room rental until 7pm the next evening... Staff who listen tryout a and come up with solutions which suit everyone are awesome. Thank you very much! The motel is in a safe area of Kuala Lumpur. It is a cheap taxi drive to the shopping malls and wishing walking distance of the KL Tower. The staff are very professional and happy to help out with any enquiries and also give advise out. The rooms are a good size, always clean and very quiet. There is a nice restaurant where the good is great, and the service is again to a high standard.

I booked online before my travel to Malaysia. The location of the hotel is perfect and easy access to most of the tourist destination, shopping malls and restaurants. Hotel is good and facilities are amazing for the price paid. Well maintained property and staffs are great. The breakfast selection is good with Indian and continental buffet. Good hotel to stay with family. Worth a try while you are in KL and recommended.

The room is spacious but needs a bit of a makeover. We came in very tired last night and didn't look at the sheets. They were not clean. The "hot" water in the shower is more warm than hot. The plumbing also needs some work as we have to wait for the water in the small sink to drain to continue using it. The breakfast was good and they have an iron in the hallway for everyone to use, which is very convenient.

A very nice surprise. A clean well maintained 3 Star Hotel that is value for money. Nice big room I had and a comfortable bed. Bathroom is nicely done. Definitely worth the money. Easy to move into the city from there and also to find. Parking is good right in front of hotel and basement. Many food places close by.

The hotel doesn't have a great ambience and the rooms also look a bit old. This seems to be a very old hotel and not very well maintained. Economical but the staff doesn't seem to be that friendly. The breakfast was pretty good with few good options for a vegetarian traveller. Overall i would rate this as an average hotel and we shouldn't expect a lot of it.

I stay for a few nights here. The room was clean with a modern furnishing. The buffet is quite okay but it seems it serves a lot of curry-based food In term of location, it's very strategic as you can walk to the shopping mall like Sogo and the happening street of Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. Its very near to Jakel Mall as well. If you want to buy imported chocolate, I recommended to go to Haniffa Supermarket which is located next to the hotel. 3 day stay. Pros ------ Central location. Since we were vegetarians, quite a few Indian restaurants nearby helped a lot. It is walking distance from Central bazaar. China town is also 15-20 min away by walk if you are up for it. Many taxis available outside the hotel. It is close by to most tourist attractions as well. Good rooftop restaurant & a supermarket downstairs that can help with essentials. Cons ------- Staff need training. My check-in was prolonged by staff who seemed very confused. ... Read more

Location of the hotel is the highlight, front office incharge Mr. Ganesh served with smily face. Mr. Shastri helped us booking the place over Whatsapp. We stayed in the hotel before. I think this is our 10th stay. Whenever we travel we would like to stay only in Starpoint hotel. We are pure vegetarian and easy to get food around. Recommend this place for family with children. Cinema theatre is also nearby.
