Our family stayed in hotel royal kuala lumpur during our KL trip for 4 days 3 nights (3-6 May 2016) The receptionist was very nice and give us an upgrade after I told her that this trip was a reward for my son after his circumcision (sunatan/khitanan). Our room has a nice bathtub in it with a view of Kl city (plaza sungai wang is right in front of the hotel). Our bed was comfortable, not to soft nor to hard to sleep in. The only thing that I really think should be changed was the toilet, there... Read more

The overall stay is fair to me. Actually the hotel located near the monorail stop. There are shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Night market is at walkable distance. We can also walk to Pavilion shopping mall and KLCC within minutes. Yet, the hotel room is a bit old. Facilities are old. The air conditioning seemed not working very well. Some staff seemed like not understanding English that they misunderstood us for a few times. There is only one electrical socket in the room which is definitely... Read more

Hotel wasn't expensive at around $65 per night including breakfast. The rooms were clean. The room we were given had a great view of the Petronas Twin Towers. Beds were comfortable. Slept soundly every night of our stay. Location is really the best thing going for this hotel. Jalan Alor, Pavillon and other shopping & dining locations in Bukit Bintang are only a 5-10 minute walk away. Two negatives though, firstly, wifi connection inside the room is weak, needed to stay at the bathroom to g... Read more

The location was fantastic, just behind Lot10 shopping mall in central Bukit Bintang, and barely a minuteā??s walk from Bukit Bintang monorail station. I arrived earlier than expected at around 1pm and tried my luck at the front desk to see if I could check in early. The front desk staff was cheerful and processed my check in immediately. The room was pleasant and spacious enough. I liked that the room had an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. I also liked that there was a separate clothes-... Read more

My third stay at this hotel and I'm glad to find out that the rooms have been renovated. Location is behind Lot 10 shopping mall and is only 150 meters away from Bukit Bintang monorail. Traveller's tip: there's an excellent nasi lemak stall at the end of Walter Grenier road which sells out by 10 daily. If that's not your cup of tea, there's a 24/7 restaurant along this road Our room was the superior room that can fit 3 comfortably. Due to our request for a queen bed we were unfortunately give... We booked one of the newly renovated rooms with a view of the twin towers which included some mini bar items ( 2 cans of softdrink and 3 small packets of sncks). Due to flight changes we arrived 12 hours late at 6.30am. At check-in we where advised that our room was unavailable due to a drainage problem, we where given another room until repairs were completed sometime later in the day. The condition of the room was disgusting!. As we were exhausted following our overnight flight I decided not ... Read more

Stayed here twice. Checked-in at 1am and they had the details ready and all printed out. Fast check-in and but check-out can be slow. Asked for a 2pm check-out and was granted. Hotel is undergoing renovation so try and ask for renovated rooms. Breakfast is so-so, but avoid it to experience authentic Malaysia's cuisine. Pillows are too soft though. Overall, value for money.

The most added value part of this hotel would be it's prime and ideal location should you wish to be in the centre of shopping, food and entertainment. It is located along the Bukit Bintang area where you can find Lot 10, Sungei Wang Plaza, Fahrenheit and Pavilion shopping malls, all within walking distance. There is also the Air Asia Bukit Bintang monorail station nearby should you desire to connect within other parts of the city. The family room for me was spacious but the result of the daily ... I booked the deluxe room the weekends, requested a smoking room and was give a room with no view. (hahha) But it's not realli a issue. Room is good. Toilet is clean with the rain shower which is hard to find a hotel that has that. (I enjoyed my bath) Hotel is super near to Bukit Bintang monorail. There's even an alley at the back that is full of small food shops which leads to the back of Farenheit and turn right to Pavillion.(good way to avoid d crowd at the main walkway which is right after th... Stay at this hotel for 4 nights. 2nights at level 11, but can heard noisy sound at noon because of renovation at level 7. Complain and change the room to level 17. Alot differences between that room on level 11 and 17 as my photos attached here. The Old furniture n painting now became modern, simply and clean. Recomend to book level 15 above. Location is good, surrounded by mall and monorail station only few steps infront. Also near places to eat. Staffs are friendly too. Only the towel still n... Read more

Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur is located just besind Lot 10 and beside Sungi Wang Plaza. It's actually located right in the middle point of The Berjaya Times Square and Pavillion, so will take two minutes walk either way from the hotel to reach any of these two Shopping Mall. The breakfast of the hotel was quite decent, though a bit disorganized in terms of menu choice. For example, they served fried rice, but to curry item to complement that! Overall experience is quite good and i would highly rec... Read more

I recently travelled to Kuala Lumpur for the first time in many years, a group of four ladies travelling together. We chose to stay at Hotel Royal as one of the group has stayed there a number of times and enjoys both the hotel and its location. From the moment we arrived the service we received was just exceptional, it was really welcoming, we felt so warmly welcomed. I will make a special mention to Abu on the front door, he was exceptionally friendly. I was pleasantly surprised at the room, i... Read more

Always enjoy my stay here in hotel Royal because of it's location at the very central of Sungei Wang & Bukit Bintang here in KL which are still their best Shopping district. The room is which you can called adequate and semi-modern for current hotel's trend. They have almost every facilities that single, couple or even family required for their trip or holiday. Just a few things that kind of like a downside of this hotel, which are: the air conditioner that wasn't really sufficient (kinda hot) b... Read more

Me and my wife checked in on 25/11 for a weekend day in Kuala Lumpur. As a frequent visitor to KL, this time we decided to give Hotel Royal a try; since we had pleasant memories when we stayed at then Fairlane Hotel. Our frustration started right from us checking into Room 1007. Due to renovation at 11th floor, there was drilling and knocking

I stayed here for a workshop for almost a week. It was a bit older, but nice hotel. The restaurant was very very busy with big events which made a quick "grab and go" for meals quite difficult. The staff was nice, and the price was right. Location was great too. I would stay here again.
