Up until now, I‚??m not quite sure how to really feel about this hotel. For a price of 400RM (110USD) per night, GMH KL offers the full array of the standard 5-star hotel. The rooms are big, cozy, and offers a great view. The bathroom is huge (with bidet btw, which to me is a bonus) comes with a bath tub and daily replenishment of toiletries compliments. Timeless-classic ambiance look and feel with carpets, white walls, gold plating, and lights. Daily breakfast buffets with big spreads. Facilit... Read more

Once upon a time perhaps 30 years ago this hotel was probably 5 star but they don't seem to have refurbished since then. Their basics such as wifi are sub-par for a hotel that charges 5 star prices when they clearly don't offer 5 star quality. They seem to be lazing on their location but many other hotels in the area are of much higher quality for similar price. If the Grand actually wants to be grand and keep up they need to stop resting on their laurels of the past, do some refurbishing, ... Read more

Fantastic city centre hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Situated on the main street close to all the touristy destinations. The entrance is very grand and a 5* welcome is given by the reception team. This is a big tall busy hotel with many floors. The lifts to the floors are superb though some of the rooms do involve a bit of a walk down long corridors which are very nicely decorated etc The rooms are what you would expect. Everything is in there and the quality is just superb. Bathrooms are stunning and a... Read more

I've stayed at this hotel about 5-6 times in the last few years and have never been disappointed. The hotel is in a perfect location, right next door to the Pavillion shopping centre. It's an easy walk from the Pavillion to KLCC as there is an undercover walkway that takes you the entire way there (about 10 mins walk). The rooms are clean and spacious with all the expected amenities. The bathrooms are also nice and spacious. I've always had great service from the staff here on every occasion. I ... Read more

Stayed at grand millennium for new years. The main reason we chose grand millennium was because of the location. Walking distance to pavilion KL, a major shopping mall, and two other shopping mall. Very convenient if you want to do some shopping and find a place to eat. The room was great and spacious enough for us 2 adults and 2 babies.

Stay here for 07 nights. Room was good and spacious enough for 1 couple with baby, far view of KL Minar tower. Location is perfect. Few mins walk for Pavilion mall (biggest shopping mall in city) we had been there for Chinese new year so they had special offers and my little girl enjoyed lion dance and beautiful decoration for the festival. Good offer shopping in mall right opposite Fahrenheit88. Breakfast had many options especially love there cupcakes.

Nice clean rooms, we were given the top floor, 19th floor. Good location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, most of the other things are mentioned by other reviewers already so I won't bother to repeat. They have complimentary laundrette service for 3 pieces of garments. Free wifi in the whole hotel- rooms, swimming pool, lobby. Negative - From the car park to the lobby is not wheelchair or pushchair friendly, we have a baby and there were so many steps and doors it wasn't easy to get to the lo... Read more

This hotel has the best location Kuala Lumpur. You can go anywhere very easily from the location. The mall about 100m away. Monorail is about 500meters away. Many restaurants and shopping centers are in few minutes of walking distance. Rooms are tired but they do have nice mattresses. Some TLC may make them look nicer Checking is a parody. You literately have to make an appointment to sit by a desk to get almost an interview by the receptionist. A monkey business practice. Now let's talk ab... Read more

As pointed out by other travellers, the check in desks is a bit odd. There are several large desks which people think they are concierge dsks ad not check-in counters. Had a room at the 2nd lowest floor (ie. 8th floor). This is an unrenovated room, and the cupboard doors was falling apart. TV had limited channels and most were rainy/ fuzzy. It's a stones throw away from The Pavillon, across the street from Fahrenheit and a few mins walk from Lot10, Sungai Wang and Low Yat. This is one of my all time favourite hotels. Located right in the heart of the shopping district, it is a haven for those seeking somewhere to lash out and spend some cash. Beautiful hotel, very polite staff who genuinely go out of their way to help you during your stay. The only downsides are that there appears to often be a lot of road works/building works around the hotel in December each year (I've been there three years in a row). I stayed in room 1220 for a week attending a conference. The room was a decent size and the bed nice and firm. The hotel restaurant has a good buffet style choice and the staff were excellent. I'd stay there again.

This is a fantastic hotel that is very conveniently located. The city has four free bus routes, three of which stop across the road and there is a monorail station just around the corner making it very easy to get around. Dining in the hotel is also good, the main restaurant has a very varied buffet, there is an excellent Chinese and a Japanese. It is also only about 15 minutes walk away from both the Petronas and KL towers.

I came to KL as a solo traveler for a week. The GM hotel was the second hotel that I visited while in KL. If you are looking for a location in the heart of the city, then you can not go wrong with the GM. It's located in the heart of the city and is walking distance from shopping malls and the popular bar street "changat". This is a good place for those who love to stroll around in Bukit Bintang especially for shopping. Big shopping mall such as Paragon and Farenheite are only 3 minutes walking. The road is very crowded, and from my room window, I still can see the traffic until 11 PM! Thus, again, the location is very great for all shopping lover. The room, decoration, services are okay. However, the selection for breakfast is not many as regular 5stars hotel should be.

Housekeeping was inconsistent with daily supplies incompletely and reluctantly refilled. And when requested by call, the housekeeper came delivered with the most annoyed face in the world as if I troubled him so much when he didn't do his job right in the first place. Classic case of claimed 5-star and when many 4-star do much much better service and value-for-money than this 5-star. All the staffs from the reception to the restaurant do not have customer service skill. During breakfast, people were asking for coffee and tea, and the staff did not care.
