Good hotel, i like the location, very green and tranquil. Good room, clean and good bed. Didnt eat at the hotel. Nice swimming pool, good big parking. But ... This morning at 6h48 the evacuation alarm went off. So a big thanks to the idiot who smoked in the hotel. Bad evacuation plan though... No one to see from the hotel, no info, no help, no coordination. A man with crutches was unable to use the stairs outside that went from the hotel exit to the ground level. Good that the alarm was for an... Read more

From the outside, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Luxembourg looked like an old apartment building and not like a four-star hotel at all. However, upon walking in, I saw a really modern and clean lobby and a large reception desk. To the left, there was a restaurant. We gathered our belongings and went upstairs to our rooms via the elevators. I was so happy to walk into a good-sized hotel room (definitely so much bigger than the one in Paris)! There were two single beds, an ottoman with a small t... Read more

This is a beautiful quiet hotel located just outside of Luxembourg City. Since it is outside the you are dependent on the bus service, which can be spotty. (You may want to rent a car to get around.) But the hotel itself is great with spacious rooms and it is very quiet. And if you like quiet then this is probably where you want to be as the city center can be quite noisy. The one thing I warn about Luxembourg City and not the hotel, is to check to see if there are any holidays. The city shut... Read more

My partner and I stayed at the DoubleTree whilst on an overnight stay in Luxembourg and it proved to be a really relaxing choice. The building is ugly, but you can't see it when you're inside so no need to moan really! We were welcomed at the desk in a friendly manner, and were even given fresh hot cookies! A really nice touch. Our room was spacious and decorated in a nice way, and we both felt very at home. We did use the swimming pool but it wasn't heated so it was a rather cold experience! We... Read more

in-check at 22:00h, was too unipersonal and too efficient. obviously not appreciated a 'booking.com' customer, "you want cheap? you get cheap, and you are treated equally..." my quote. my wishes were not checked or asked. Wifi did not work in room and floor due too bad coverage. unable to use, unless standing in the hall-way close to the elevators. view from room was a full grown tree and a concrete wall, not the expected delighter (view) from a junior suite.

Nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff . However, it really does need a lounge area separate from the main restaurant in order for guests to sit and have a drink. It doesn't seem appropriate to take up a table in the restaurant just to have a coffee. Over ‚?¨200 per night room only so rather expensive plus anywhere between ‚?¨20 and ‚?¨35 one way to the centre of town by taxi. Would have preferred that Trafalgar had us in a hotel that was a short walk to attractions and restaurant, in a city like Luxembourg. That said this was the second Double Tree by Hilton we had stayed in on our trip and it was a quality hotel and apparently there is a bus to the city centre. The meals and service were very good, and the rooms were also very good in all aspects.

I choose this hotel on a family members recommendation. It has free parking which made it really easy as I've heard that parking in the city centre is hard. They ran a shuttle into the city which took maybe 10 minutes. The breakfast was good, the dinner was good, the reception was helpful and the cookies were lovely. We made use of the swimming pool also.

The room had a good size, good beds, good functioning aircon, fine bathroom with bathtub. Outside car parking with plenty of spaces. It was a 10 - 15 minutes drive to the city centre (for sight seeing and for the various restaurants).

Being a more upscale hotel the Doubletree chain suffers from poor WiFi (at all locations I have visited). The Luxembourg one has the same problem. (Two devices (apple and android) had problems during our whole stay) Surprisingly long queues to the breakfast. Great checking and staff. Free parking makes this a good place to stay if visiting by car.

This was a lovely hotel with lots of facilities including an indoor pool (although the pool was a little difficult to find as you had to access it through the change rooms). The rooms were quite spacious, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large. The hotel itself is a little out of the way if you are intending to tour Luxembourg city although there are regular buses into the city. It is probably best suited for business travelers as it had good conference and business facilities... Read more

This is a very good hotel, all staff from reception to housekeeping are very professional and courteous. Rooms are large and airy, and beds very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size too. The location is good, there is a bus service a short walk from the hotel into Luxembourg, and a bonus on Saturdays this bus is FREE all day. Would certainly recommend staying here.

The accommodations at doubletree were roomy and nice. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. You could tell that this hotel was more suited for business people. Very clean and spacious. However, the hotel was quite a bit aways from the city center (since buses only run every 30+ minutes - ON TIME). It is at least a 15 minute walk from anything. If you do stay here, either be prepared to drive or map out bus routes (and wait a lot). Small convenience store nearby to grab something ... Read more

Hotel is close enough to where you need to go if you have a car or cab. Not really walking to much from here. The rooms are clean and quiet. Restaurant was good for breakfast and the few dinners we ate were good for the price. Take a walk in the woods at the end of the parking lot. I will be back! Great views if you can get higher floors.

Room was fine and hotel staff very helpful with bus stop locations/timetables as the hotel was a little way from the town centre. We ate in the hotel in the evening and, although the food was nice, we felt the choice was limited and would have liked the option of less expensive bar food

Stayed here during our trip to Luxembourg. The hotel looks like a really old apartment complex and is a bit outside the city. I would expect Hilton to look for a much better building in a much better location of the city. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Parking was free. Luxembourg really impressed us as a city, but Hilton needs to step it up with a more modern looking hotel in a better location.

Very nice hotel, and the personal is very good, and delighted to help the guests at every time. I spent three days there on a business trip. If I had to say something bad about the hotel would be just only one thing: Although is very closed from the airport, it is very isolated.

We received a very nice and friendly welcome from reception. They were very accommodating and put us on the Hilton Honor floor even though we didn't have our card or number. Typical chain hotel size rooms and bathroom with tubs; and very clean. Beds were very comfortable but the typical soft pillows you get throughout Europe. Reception area is very modern and pleasant. We were a large group of 4 adults and 2 kids, and we stayed at the Doubletree in August. Even though we had only specified adjacent rooms, we were given rooms with a connecting door in between. it was really convenient for us. The rooms are immaculate and perfectly convenient to see the city. we had also, paid ahead for the breakfast, which was substantial and really worth it as well. I will definitely recommend this place if you are travelling single, couple or with family!

I've been here now a couple of times and it is a wonderful hotel, the outside doesn't look too fancy but inside it delivers more than you can expect from a Hilton standard. This hotel typifies what is wrong with the large corporate hotel groups around the world. They have lost touch with guests and the brand is absolutely not everything. Service is everything as we have moved from a transaction based economy to an experience based economy. Sadly my experience was very poor. I arrived at the hotel in a taxi, with the driver having told me the hotel was in fact nowhere near the city centre. The drop off was full of parked taxis and I had to exit the cab from across ... I was robbed inside the hotel lobby! A random guy entered in the hotel, and took my mother's bag while we were checking in. They have no security at the door and no control of who enters and leaves the hotel. I talked to the manager Dominique and he said that the hotel is not responsible for what happens in the lobby, just the bedrooms. I am sure they will also exempt themselves from thefts at the bedrooms saying you didn't use the safe. If the hotel is not responsible for what happens inside it... Read more

The room was spacious but looked dated. The bathroom even more, and was very small. Only 1 bathrobe provided. Very good quality of food (in-room dining) but desserts and wine extremely expensive. Getting a "welcome cookie" is a nice gesture, but does not match the experience of getting a welcome drink at the hotel bar, again that seems below the Hilton standard but rather something for a budget hotel.

The hotel I guess was built back in the 60ties or 70ties. It's a tall big grey tower from the outside and isn't really inviting. Pictures on the Internet look more inviting. The inside is not really promising neither, everything is kept in dark colors and the rooms are old compared to hotels nearby. To mention is that the front desk staff has been very friendly but that was about the only positive point to mention.

Overall feeling is clean and business hotel oriented. Wi Fi can be found at common area and room. Buffet breakfast is offered with the common pastries; fruits and meat provided. Restaurant and bar are located side by side at the same location at the Ground Floor. I had room service and dinner at the restaurant, the quality is okay with average score. The room size is decent and clean. The washroom and bathroom is nicely done with good amenities. Recommended for business travel.
