Better than the other hotels I stayed in Vientiane and very reasonably priced. Clean, spacious rooms although the bath is so cramped at 1x1m. There is really no room to avoid the water if you wanted to (you know how you want to avoid it at the start of the bath). Or maybe the other rooms have it better. I stayed in a deluxe room. The other thing to watch out for here is the 6-in step to the room. I tripped coming in and tripped backwards again the first time I was going out of the room. It takes... Read more

This is on the corner .. very close to 'Naam Phu" in the heart of Vientianne. Good people... good service ... clean and very peaceful. Good place to relax and have a quiet time - after your business hours.

Food Cooked and Served are Delicious. This is my 5th time in a row in the same hotel in Vientiane since 2010 and all the time service provided by the hotel is very good. The hotel is centrally located. The rooms are clean and a better place to feel homely

Good location but outdated rooms bathrooms & facilities Luckily we were there only 1 night or we would have looked to move Breakfast was just ok We were the only "western" guests which spoke volumes More a business hotel for Asian business travellers Evening food was not good neither is the restaurantservice ~ staff lurk around but don't actually do anything Reception staff at least were helpful Very reminiscent of the Soviet 70s

My initial impression of this hotel was that it lacked attention to detail. The room and bathroom were acceptable, clean enough although somewhat outdated and not overly welcoming or comfortable. It didn't feel like like a place one could stay for an extended period of time. Wi-fi did not work 90% of the time and when it worked it was painfully slow. The hotel staff spoke very limited English which made it was difficult to communicate concerning the issues I was having. The hotel staff wou... Read more

My Partner and I stayed here for one night before starting our tour and very thankful it was only the one. On arrival reception staff barely said hello, didn't speak very much English and when asked a question just nodded and didn't quite understand what was being asked. Went up to the room and felt like a sauna, the room did have AC but we had to wait quite awhile before it started to feel cool. The room itself was fine, had all the normal facilities, WiFi worked well in the room, however only ... Read more

We are staying here several days for our fieldwork. I like the room as it is spacious with separate shower and bathtub, a balcony and many power sockets. Some restaurants and a massage center are just a stone's throw away. Some tourist attractions are also within walking distance like the Mekong River, Patuxai (war monument) and a very simple night market. The receptionists and bell boys are friendly and helpful. What really needs urgent improvement is the unhygienic condition at the breakfast ... Read more

Have stayed in this hotel for more than 3 months on both business travel and holidays and the experience has been awesome. Free beer coupons, free swimming pool coupons along with good staff and food. Continental, Lao as well as Indian food is awesome. So overall a neat and clean hotel with all the facilities. Cheers!

I love this hotel. The staff is friendly and nice. The service like a 5-star hotel. It's value for money. I booked the room via Agoda with special request : honeymoon. The hotel provided me the beautiful bouquet when I arrived the hotel. I love it. We will stay here next time if we come Vientiane.

We were in Vientiane on business and stayed in City Inn hotel. It was really nice and clean and the food was super. Breakfasts were delicious and the chef offered a good choice of dishes. When we checked in they gave us coupons for free drink (including beer) and we were happy to use it while checking out ))) But we were most impressed with the service!!! We have traveled a lot and seen different hotels and staffs but the staff in this hotel was the best! We would like to say special thanks to T... Read more

Looking for a decent, conveniently-located hotel for two nights led us to CIV. Booked through TA based on above average reviews and nice pics. Not expecting too much except clean comfortable lodgings before concluding our travels in Laos. No surprises on arrival - they were expecting us. Our extra bed request was in place on a 4th floor room. Unfortunately the lift was out of service due to a power surge on the weekend and it hadn't been fixed. Observing that my elderly father had trouble walk... Read more

Stayed at City Inn Vientiane for one night in December 2015. The hotel is OK - not bad, but not great either. Service was not noteworthy. Rooms were a bit below expectations. I would recommend looking at other accommodation options in the area before booking here in order to get maximum value for your money.

It was my business trip with my boss and I had stayed for 6-day. The building and facilities are a little old but It was clean. Everything was just okay but breakfast. It is locacted near the tourist street and easy to access the airport. And one more thing, free wifi but sometimes it's too slow to chech your email in the room.

I had a fantastic expirience during my one month stay in City inn hotel in Vientiane. The service was exellent as well as the rooms where clean and always tidy, amenities in room are complete & statisfying. As far as the people working in the hotel there is no words to describe the kindness and willingness always try to give me the best information and help for all the matters, especially all the girls working in the front desk (Ms. Lovelie & Tadum). breakfast in the morning was excellent and plen... I've stayed in so many hotels and found many to be good to great. But City Inn stands out for its incredibly friendly and helpful staff. No question or service is too difficult or complicated for them. I've had some issues and they jumped to the rescue! No hassles, no problems, they just got it done. Besides this the hotel is very well located in downtown Vientiane close to everything that you must visit or experience in this great city. The ceramic flooring is simply a fantastic reminiscence ... Check in very rapid and pleasant. Was greated with a complimentary fruit juice and coupon for a complimentary beer. The room was tidy and spacious and well appointed. The bed and bedding well above average in terms of comfort. The bath room featured a tub and shower with a full set of amenities. The breakfast buffet was great with a good selection of hot and cold dishes. I must add that the coffee was fantastic. This is a hotel that would suit the needs of a wide range of travelers. The ... Visited Vientiane in Laos recently had a wonderful stay at this Hotel , very friendly and obliging staff, reasonably good breakfast for the price we paid. Most importantly just walk down the street and u will arrive at the famous fountain area which has good entertainment and food outlets no need to take a taxi or tuk-tuk unless u are really not into a bit of walking ( 10 mins at the most ). A bit more walking will bring u to the river front which has a lively nite market . cheers.dave

This is lovely hotel, I like the room with a little balcony. The beds are a comfort however I dont like the shower room, there is no shelf or place to put our soap or face cleanser. That is the only disadvantage, the rest of the room is ok. Breakfast is nice though not much food. The fried noodles was real good, it was one of the best. The hotel is generous, a voucher for welcome drink which you can choose beer, wine, soft drink or coffee.

Stayed for one week on business, and one of the managers was very kind to meet me at the airport, which was only a 15-minute drive in daytime traffic. The rooms are simple but tastefully decorated, and I was pleasantly surprised to find them supplied with an iron and hair dryer. The hotel is on the edge of all the downtown shops and restaurants, so a quick walk to anything, but not so close that it would be noisy - it was quieter and more peaceful at night than expected. The only annoyance was l... Read more

Stayed in the hotel for almost 3 weeks while on a business trip. Key features of the stay and hotel: 1. Location is very good with a lot of options for all kinds of restaurants nearby 2. The hotel is very well managed with very courteous staff 3. Good, clean rooms and sufficiently spacious with decent sized balcony 4. Decent breakfast spread with sufficient options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians 5. No in-house swimming pool, but the hotel has a tie-up with a public swimming pool that i... Read more

We stayed in this hotel a couple of days and in terms if cleanliness and location, I would give 4.5 stars. However in terms of helpfulness and HONESTY of staffs, ZERO. It started off with our driver, an ex staff of City Inn Vientiane hotel, whereby we forgot that we left our things in the car since we walked back to the hotel. The very next day, I asked the driver where is my bag, and he shrugged his shoulders saying he don't know. There was a power bank, my sunglasses and a few bottles of wat... Read more

Rooms are pretty Neat & Clean, However this Budget Hotel gets Booked quickly and also they do not extend the Customers Stay as they are always Pre-Booked. Food in the Restaurant is Average. Location is close to most of the Tourist Attractions.

I chose the hotel as it is within 5min walking distance to my company on Lane Xang Road. And I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is also a 5min stroll to Nam Phu fountain and another 10 min stroll to the night market. The location was perfect to explore city center by walk. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and always smiling. They are also very helpful. Stayed in this hotel for two nights and they have great and very helpful staffs.I was traveling got Luang Prabang after my stay and the lady from the front desk, named Lovely, was able to get an overnight bus ticket. Great help that i did not have to go to the bus station to purchase it. Which was a half hour drive from the hotel. Also great recommendations of motor bike rental, local restaurants and massage /spa place. Great place to stay. Takes your mind off from the daily grind
