Had quite a nice time there but the guy at the gym is rude and treats black people like trash. The rest of my stay was brilliant. The breakfast was good and loved the selection of food. The bar had all the drinks I needed. Will be back surely!

So today June 5th 2016, myself and a couple of friends came by the swimming pool area at Villa Rossa Kempisiki to take a swim. However the services rendered were not the best. It could have been better. Slow service for drinks, getting a locker took forever too. I just generally was not impressed with my service today.

The hotel has a very nice ambience. The smile and welcoming gesture by the waiters and all hotel staff made the dinner which was well prepared very delicious. Saturday evenings they offer well done nyama choma. The parking is adequate and secure.

This Kempinski is not at the same level of being a Kempinski. Upon my arrival yes the transport from the airport was excellent on time and good car and the driver very friendly. As it was late i checked in and my card was charged. The king bed was made with 2 single duvet instead of 1 kind size duvet (still can't get the reasoning behind that), the breakfast had no cheddar cheese :-(( and then upon check-out my invoice was so wrong that it took at least 30 mins to get it right and give me back $... An amazing gracious and hospitable oasis in Nairobi. Professional and pleasant staff enhance the experience of this 5 star hotel. The amenities are only one of the compelling reasons to visit Villa Rosa. They offer four quality restaurants, several lovely bars, a spa and much, much more. You need never leave the property during your stay- we didn't! Rooms are elegantly appointed and you'll adore taking your coffee in the garden. Every luxury that you would find in a fine European hotel is here. ... Read more

I would highly recommend choosing this hotel when staying in Nairobi. We were visiting the city for a wedding, deciding between The Fairmont Norfolk and Serena hotel. We were extremely happy with our choice. The standard rooms were of good size and the beds extremely comfortable. The decor tasteful and agreeable. Breakfast was ample and a nice touch was offering Mimosa's. It is a business hotel, you can tell by the guests however we still felt taken care of. The restaurant options were very good... Read more

The Kempinski is a first world first class oasis in Nairobi. The moment you enter the waterfall entrance this new modern yet southern European inspired hotel you feel relaxed and safe. Hotel rooms are well appointed and new and were showing euro 2016 with premium sports channels. Gym whilst not big had many key essentials. Breakfast buffet is generous with very wide selection of heering. Service is good The lebanese restaurant was well appointed with good food to match. Hotel pick up service ... Read more

As far as luxury hotels in Nairobi.. The Kempinski is by the far the best. The service was excellent, especially from the check in staff Sai and the concierge, George. The food is quite good in the hotel. We had lunch in the Italian restaurant on a Saturday where they do buy one get one free pizza. The pizza was very good and with the deal it is highly recommended. The only let down was that they were refurbishing the room above us and work started very early in the morning. We complained an... Read more

Come on Kempinski! 3000/ for a swim for young children? I can accept that price for an adult as they are likely to use the sauna and steam room but for little kids? Really?! Even half price I would accept but not 3000/

In June I had the privilege to spend one night with my husband in this beautiful hotel. And it was the most amazing start to our week in Africa. From the check in to the check out we were impressed by the hotel, the stuff, the services and the atmosphere! Highly recommended and definitely a reason to come back to Kenya!

Great five days in Nairobi at Villa Rosa, very well looked after by staff in restaurant, bar and spa. Great band played live, including a superb version of Bob Marley's Redemption Song. Room comfortable and well serviced. Security efficient and very much in evidence, both car checks and at front entrance. Really good experience.

The Villa Rosa Kempinski in Nairobi has got to be in the top three of the most stylish hotels I have had the fortune to sleep in; and I have been in a few. From the exterior appeal of the hotel, to the lobby and then the rooms, it oozes class and elegance. For those who want to enjoy Nairobi in style, I cannot recommend any other hotel. We had gone for dinner in December 2015, and the atmosphere and the service top class. Very quality utensils and the dining area is very welcoming. The wall to wall carpet is just amazing. It has very nice ample secure underground parking so nothing to worry about where you will park your car. Although its near a busy road, the acoustics has been done in such away that once inside, you don't hear anything from outside.

Almost faultless describes this hotel in a quick sort of way and if it falls within your budget I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Reception was handled with finesse and efficiency whilst keeping big broad Kenyan smiles‚?¶. This hotel was the host of an international medical conference. I was one of the speakers. As you enter the premises, security is tight. Someone entered our bus to check out luggage; sniffing dogs, entrance guard house. Airport-type x-ray before entering the lobby. So you expect something special. Façade and lobby are imposing with fountains, majestic staircases, an adjoining garden. There were more than a hundred delegates yet check-in was well organized. This is one of my all time favorite hotels! My husband and I spend three days here after a week on safari and we couldn't have been happier. George, from concierge, was invaluable to us and he went out of his way to make our stay in Nairobi extra-special by setting up a driver to take us around the city but the best part was that he got us a private tour of Giraffe Manor and the adjacent Giraffe Center! They could hv made the fresh juice counter live.. However, the service during breakfast was quite average. Two really poor things - 1. The worst part was the construction behind the hotel. They were drilling all day. 2. One a specific day, I was coming into my room and there was one housekeeping chap coming out. Thought they kept door... Read more

The check in was quick and efficient, we were not shown to a room only to a lift. We are not due to leave for one more week, but certain things do frustrate me, therefore here comes my review before we even depart: When we got to a room, the extra bed was not in, I requested the bed at around 11pm instead of waiting for ... The first you note on arrival, as you drive in, is the impressive security. Sniffer dogs, thorough searches by the security team; the works. However, my pleasure slowly turned to irritation then displeasure when the security team sought to confiscate a pocket knife that remains in my car, for my protection, at all times. My issue was not with them taking it but rather my fear that I would certainly forget it when I was leaving. Also I did not understand why it could not remain in my car. After... Read more
