I really enjoy staying here because they just get it right. The rooms are quiet and logically arranged to work and relax. The restaurants and bars are pricey but worth it. The gym is great! What really makes this place my favorite in Nairobi is the staff and their attention to detail and customer satisfaction Lots of places are glitzy but this place is excellent. It's Westlands location is a huge plus as well.

Sankara Nairobi is my comfort zone whenever I visit Nairobi. I consider it my second home, home away from home. I stayed in Sankara each time I visited Nairobi starting from 2012 to date. Sankara will remain home whether for business related or family trip. The ambience and services are superb. Keep up the excellent work.

First time visitor. The hotel is in an extremely difficult part of town. 2 1/2 hours from airport to hotel. Yes, it is true. Everything you've heard about Nairobi traffic is true and then some. Check in easy, but registration requests all ignored. Lower floors reverberate with bass from restaurant. So if you stay here, absolutely request a higher floor. Room service a mess. Got a simple order wrong twice. Lovely decor. But this hotel needs a huge improvement of its human capital's profession... Read more

I was here with my wife for lunch. Sankara's location is conveniently out of the CBD but very near and easily accessible. The staff are very relational and ready to assist. We had a buffet lunch and the chef was there to personally explain each serving, what it contains and what combinations go best. We particularly enjoyed the seafood on offer and the dried tomatoes :-) The flip side was not so rosy. The signage to the entrance is poorly done and one can miss the entrance and drive on to the ex... Read more

Brought my family for safari and stayed in Nairobi for 3 nights. Hotel was very nice and secure. Bar on 7th floor was lots of fun and the executive lounge was worth the extra money. Julius from the 7th floor made all of us feel welcome and comfortable even tho we were so far from home!

We didn't stay at this hotel; however, we went there for dinner and had the buffet. The service was amazing and the food was some of the best food we had ever tasted. I would highly recommend the buffet. It's about 35 USD (drinks not included) but worth every penny. I will definitely return.

From the initial, late arrival, it was obvious that we were in the care of the hotel staff and they went to all lengths to ensure a high quality experience at the Sankara. Food and wine in the restaurants was very good, as were the breakfasts and service for visiting clients. Rooms were above average size, spotless and nicely decorated with high quality fittings. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Sankara met all my expectations and more. In all honesty I appreciated more than anything the great service from the friendly thoughtful staff and this was consistent across all staff. I was there on business and it catered for that. WiFi was good at the rooms and room setup allowed for work to be done. The 7th floor brings the fun and vibrancy of Nairobi right to your doorstep.

This is a great hotel that puts many of its European or American counterparts to shame. Modern, trendy and comfortable, it has a variety of different bars and restaurants within. The stuff are extremely polite and attentive, they really are a pleasure to deal with and nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooftop bar is a great place to relax but take a jumper or jacket in the evenings as it gets a bit chilly. There are a small group of 'working girls' who attend but they are clearly under i... This place works for me because of its proximity. Funny enough I think it has great value for money. Security checks can be annoying. Parking at the basement helps. They have a good system for repeat clients where by they would not need all your details at check in again.Breakfast was good. Very comfortable bed.
