I loved this hotel. The décor is old world, complete with a separate cigar smoking room, but is also very up to date. Lobby and bar area are very comfortable and popular. Rooms were nicely appointed. We had no reason to leave the hotel for the evening and were very happy to have the buffet and relax with a glass of wine. We enjoyed the Jordan River brand wine.

We didn't stay at the hotel as guests, we only visited their rooftop bar which is fantastic. It has one of the best views in Amman, a nice crew, delicious drinks and a very stylish and beautiful interior design. Its perfect for a girls night out, a date or whatever. I am definitely going to visit the place again if i am going to Amman again in the future.

It should have been a great Hotel but time has left some "wounds". The Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is acceptable. The dinner is buffet and fairly average The bed is big and the matress very good. Not 5* anymore

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting Amman. The reception staff are very good and unfailingly polite. Our room is quite large for a standard room , but it is quite dated. The hotel serves an excellent breakfast. A good hotel for tourists on a brief stop in Amman

Old style seen better days. Could be cleaner. Wifi works. Gym good. Great pool/bar upstairs but closes for staff use or events from 5pm and not communicated. So not allowed to use from 5pm. For tourist and business people not a facility. Very annoying. There is a downstairs one which is stuffy and unpleasing.

Not sure what is the criteria for awarding "stars" in Jordan, but the hotel lacked many amenities to qualify as a five star hotel! It's max three stars in what it has to offer to its guests. Cleanliness was average, breakfast was below average, pool and restaurant were also average. The only thing that stood out was lunches! They were elaborately served and equally delicious. Definitely over priced for what it has to offer. I stayed twice, the 11th floor room was much better, cleaner and f... Read more

We picked this hotel because of the swimming pool. When we arrived, we asked for the pool's timetable and we were told that it closes at 21h, but nobody told us that they have private parties at the pool every day starting at 18h. We stayed from Sunday to Wednesday and we could not use the swimming pool after visiting the city because we arrived after 18h. We told this problem to the hotel manager, and he invited us to a drink at the hotel bar. Another problem we had (in our 3 rooms) was that th... Read more

This hotel is known of having 2 places to send a Thursday night at, trader and U. What a mistake, we decided to celebrate a friend BD there. Around mid night we decided to leave, gave the valet card to the guys. After waiting over 30 mnts, decided to go to where they keep the keys, where I discovered that my keys are still not touched and my car is parked faaaar away, where i had to go my self and get it What a horrible experience that lasted for too long. Horrible place. Never again

I stayed at the hotel for one night, and unfortunately was very disappointed. The hotel is really old and badly maintained. Furniture and equipment have not been replaced for years. The bathroom is really old, I thought the sink was dirty but those were traces due to time. The room's walls are thin making us hear all of the corridor activity. Staff are polite and helpful, but need training to be up to the standards of a five stars. Food is fair, but while having dinner at the cafe there was a te... Read more

Had a pleasant two night stay at the hotel. It is rated as a five star hotel but is more of a three star plus property. Our room on the 17th floor was fitted with classic style furnishings, had a comfortable bed, was clean, had effective air conditioning and good views of Amman. The bathroom was fit for purpose but was in need of upgrading. The breakfast and dinner buffet served in the All Madafa restaurant had a good choice of local and international dishes and a fair selection of wines. Serv... Read more

So far I've very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff are helpful and the location pretty central to the city centre. Travellers tip: pick up a Zain SIM 3 blocks south in a phone shop - inexpensive (16usd) and good service.

Booked my flights with Dial a Flight and they offered me 10 nights at this hotel for not much more than the two star Ibis, which I was considering. Not five star anymore but well positioned, good staff and public areas. Rooms ok for the deal price, had we have gone to the Ibis I doubt that we would have got the extras such as water fridge, toiletries, etc. Very engaging staff, well appointed lounge and terrace. If you can get the deal go for it. TIP. Don't get a taxi offered at the hotel. Walk ... Read more

I wouldn't reccomend the hotel. Perhaps some years ago it was great but in my opinión it is far from the 5 stars nowadays. The room wasn't clean and I found the carpets really old and worn. The U ROOF LOUNGE (the terrace bar at the top) was closed at the time I stayed at the hotel, which was a pitty since it was one of the main highlights. Some months later, I came back again to Amman and I had dinner at the terrace, which I could reccomend for a nice evening plan. The Hotel has a good Dinnin... Read more

I stayed here 4 nites while on a medical mission. We try not to waste money on fancy hotels so we often find ourselves in pretty dismal places. I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort and superior hospitality of the staff here. The rooms were simple but there was a fridge in the room, it was clean and there was hot water and a comfortable bed. Also there was complimentary breakfast with quite a variety of food. The only thing disappointing there was no fruit at all other than a syrupy fruit sa... Read more
