Whilst branded boutique hotel, the foyer level certainly lived up to it. Great aroma & artwork, trendy restaurant meets the boutique. However, the deluxe room was really not deluxe - nothing about the room was boutique - standard amenities. I think you need to pay much more for those luxe rooms that scream boutique. Great to receive 2 bottles of water & breakfast was solid (not many breakfast options around town until 10am). Staff were pleasant. Family Mart next door & some expensive restaur... Read more

The hotel itself was pretty average. One staff, Neil, made our stay much better though. We made a mistake booking a room and would liked to get another. It would have been difficult if not for Neil who found us the room we need. Neil also tended to our calls and requests. Good hotel but th service we received made it a much better stay. 5 stars for Neil.

Great location in Roppongi. Cute little boutique hotel with good sized rooms. Lots of great places located in Roppongi near by. The tea & food in the restaurant is good. Not amazing, but good for a quick bite or drink if you need something before going out. The rooms are very quiet and you can't hear any noise. The bathroom was surprisingly large for a hotel of this size. Very comfortable beds too.

My partner & I found this as a recommended hotel in the lonely planet guide. This did not disappoint!!! We stayed in one of the premium rooms which had a lovely little champagne arrival and a gorgeous, spacious room with all the western creature comforts (in a Japanese style). The staff here are amazing, they all speak good English and were extremely helpful when we needed any kind of assistance. Location is key! Right in the heart of Roppongi, if you haven't been to Tokyo, it make its extrem... Read more

You can't go wrong by booking Hotel Residence Roppongi. My one night stay made me want to move in! After arriving an hour late with the assistance of the friendly and helpful staff, I could relax in a bath with a TV! Wifi access enabled me to contact my friend, who was waiting for me at the nearby Chef and Butcher. Following my delicious dinner, which will be reviewed at the Chef and Butcher listing, I returned and crashed into the lap of luxury. The pillows are so soft and comfortable, the co... Read more

It was a very nice boutique hotel. The room I got was Japanese style with a round wooden bathtub, which was very spacious considering it's in center of Tokyo and nicely decorated. It took forever to fill the bathtub up with the hot water but soaking in the big tub felt really good after the night out in Nishi-Azabu. The hotel is located by the highway and the room had no view and doesn't get ant sunlight but it wasn't noisy at all. All drinks including a half bottle of sparkling wine and 4 bot... Read more

I have stayed at the hotel several times and I have always had a good experience. This is a boutique hotel in Tokyo which is unusual. The hotel has a wide variety of rooms and all are smartly decored. The standard room is small but quiet and comfortable. The hotel is located in the Nishi Azabu area next to Roppongi. Everything is in walking distance, and the hotel is surrounded by endless small restaurants, bars, music etc. the hotel itself has a good restaurant with an excellent wine s... Read more

We paid around â?¬100 for a very small double bed room. The room itself was ok, but the noise from outside (airco vents) was SO loud, the well insulted windows couldn't silence it. The staff acknowledged the problem (surely they knew in advance) and we were offered another room (less noisy but still a bit) and a free breakfast. So, not the best quality but we really appreciated the staff's reaction.

Stayed here for our first night in Tokyo and loved it. Stylish, clean and very friendly staff made for the perfect place to overcome our jetlag. Highly recommend. We booked for early check-in (Â¥7,000 for 2 hours) but were kindly accommodated when we turned up an hour before then.

It is a award-winning hotel for its design and decor. It is intimate with all modern needs. The breakfast was mostly vegetarian and delicious which changes every day. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff who greets you every time you pass in front of reception. Small refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer combo, hot water kettle with coffee and tea were a great plus. Excellent location for subway, bus, and taxis, everything is just minutes away. Attentive housekeeping, no n... Read more

This is a rare find in Tokyo - a decently priced hotel in Roppongi. For that alone, I would give it my endorsement. As hotel experiences go, it is fairly standard, and nothing to write home about. The rooms are small and average. If you're not a local, then the selection of channels is a bit disappointing (only CNN is in English). The house-keeping is patchy. The breakfast is a bit odd, with truly atrocious coffee, but not bad food offerings. The staff all speak excellent English, and a couple... Read more

We stayed in an apartment at the Roppongi hotel for 1 night and it was a very good experience. The room was well maintained, clean and had all the facilities. The breakfast spread had something for everyone. It's location is perfect too! Highly recommended.

Our stay at the Roppongi Hotel S was great. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in making dinner reservations for us, and complimentary buffet breakfasts in the morning were a nice touch. We booked the cheapest rooms, which were quite cozy (there was extremely little open space in the room and the shower was small), but we didn't actually spend much time at the hotel, so this was not an issue. Awesome option if lodging in Tokyo on a budget.

We loved the breakfast. We loved the staff. Thhe entrance is awesome. The location was fine. I think it was about $50 USD overpriced. The rooms were ok, but I would have preferred a queen bed rather than two singles pushed against each other. Also, the hallways were a tad dingy. I would stay here again if it was a bit cheaper

Location is good for many Roppongi restaurants. Especially, this place is only two minutes walk from Gompachi, the Izakaya which inspired Tarantino for the restaurant in which Kill Bill's O-ren Ishii act action takes place. So yeah, location, and... that's pretty much it. We paid for a larger/better room, the one with a small couch and living room kind-of area. The room was so small I instantly had regrets the second I walked in (I had booked our room for 6 nights and the idea to stay in there... Read more

Some hotels are worth visiting for the view alone. This is not one of them. But it IS a hotel worth visiting for the comfortable bed! Our room was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. I spoke Japanese to them, but I overheard them speaking excellent English to other non-Japanese customers. It's hard to complain about the view in the middle of such a massive city, but I have stayed in nearby hotels with a view of something other than the adjacent building or the elevated road out fr... My husband and I stayed here since we had a concert at the Blue Note. Fantastic location--lots of restaurants and little shops around. Walking distance from the Roppongi metro and the shopping district. The staff was friendly and very polite. We stayed in room 205 and although the room was a little small, it had everything we needed. The full size bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, and coffee and tea with a hot pot was provided. There was also a safe and a washing machine/dryer in the room... Read more
