The entrance is beautiful and a perfect site for a James Bond film but Breakfast is a joke, no cheese, eggs, bread for toast, bacon on the first of my 3 night stay, then just low quality and over crowded area to eat rabbit food. Room needed refitting, I asked for the broken chair to be replaced, it was not. as I say the place looks great but for the price a real let down. Reception was good and polite so that is why I give service a high mark and room was always cleaned well but wall paper missi... Read more

Stayed with my wife for a week during our vacation. The rooms are very small, but they usually are in Japan. The hotels offers breakfast and two bottles of water are refilled in the mini-fridge everyday. The hotel is about five minutes walk from JR-Tamachi station, so it's about 30~40 minutes from almost anywhere in Tokyo, but if you're looking for busy nightlife you better choose other district. The most annoying thing was that there were no shelves in the closet, so we could not really unpack ... Read more

Hotel is situated on the top four floors of a 17 story business building. There are a lot of positives - tamachi is on the Jr ring line which makes getting around cheap and easy (though the station is a ten minute walk with rather rough asphalt), you pretty much will get a view, there's supermarket/convenience stores near by, the breakfast has a few more options than the others and is nice. The bathroom is a bit bigger than most others we've experienced in Japan and the water pressure is great... Read more

Hotel is a short 5 min walk from the JR Tamachi station on the Yamanote Line, which circles Tokyo above ground. Hotel is top four floors of office building, with excellent views of Mt Fuji on one side and Odaiba on the other. Free buffet breakfast -- a mixture of Japanese and Western items. Free WiFi and reasonable rates.

We visited Tokyo during cherry blossom season. The hotel's was great because it is accessible directly by the Keisei Sky Access line (take the express train) from Narita Airport. The same train takes you to Haneda airport in about 30 minutes. The neighbourhood is quiet in the eveining and generally residential. There is a grocery store down the street situated in the basement. The rooms are clean and of a good size for a business hotel. Our booking included daily breakfast and the breakfast sp... Read more

This is brilliant hotel and even though a business hotel we as a family of 4 had a wonderful stay and would surely recommend to other families. Friendly staff and comfortable stay with advantage of great location. The train station to access the main areas of Tokyo the Yamamoto line runs from Tamachi. The sky tree and asakusa area are covered by Mita subway which is close to the Tamachi station. There is a wonderful superstore that is in the basement of Granpark bldg opp to the hotel where you ... We stayed for 7 nights and were happy with the overall stay. Receptionist was very helpful in booking a reservation for us at a japanese restaurant in Ginza. The hotel room was small as expected but we were out most of the day so it didn't bother us too much. Pros: Good Queen size bed, 7 minutes walk to Tamachi Station, free breakfast, nearby supermarket across the road from the hotel, strong shower pressure, free wifi. Cons: Limited restaurants nearby the hotel. Limited seats available at bre... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. Great location for moving around Tokyo. Breakfast was included, but we never went, the breakfast did not look inviting. The room was small again, typical for Japan. But the room was clean and ok. Make sure you book a none smoking room. Not sure if I would stay again at the Villa Fontaine. For the price there are better hotels for money value.

It is hard to find a hotel like this one in Tokyo. Reasonable pricing, near Tamachi station in quiet neighbourhood. Stayed for five nights at the 14th floor. Unfortunately there was only a no-smoking room available for that period, but the room was not as smokey as I'd feared. Room number 1405 does not have a special view. It does not face mount Fuji (can be seen from the rooms near the elevators). Railtracks below can be heard. I am 1.90m tall, the small bed did not bother me much (my feet just... Read more

Very clean, conveniently close to station for moving around Tokyo, decent breakfast, quiet, kind staff. Some of the reviews mentioned that the breakfast was lackluster buy we actually found it good. It did change every 2 or 3 days and had good variety (it had salmon, bread, rice, meat, salad, eggs, coffee, juice, ... pretty much everything except fruit).

Well this was our first visit at Japan and we decided to dedicate our first visit to Tokyo. I was searched for a hotel around 100Eur per night that will be close to train station and with modern rooms. I was found hotel Villa Fontaine Tamachi and It was really great choice. First of all the location of the hotel is 5min walk from both Tamachi and Mita stations that connect you directly to all over Tokyo sightseeing. Second the hotel is new and the rooms are really modern the amenity are grea... Read more

The hotel was near to Tamachi and Mita station (nearer to Tamachi, and it helps that this route is on flat ground). The room was reasonable and the staff was helpful to send the luggage to the room before we returned at night. It also had CNN, which should not be taken for granted! The breakfast was decent, though the spread could have varied a little more day to day. It would also have helped if the orientation was the TV was adjusted to cater for viewing from the bed (there was no other viewin... Read more

This hotel occupies the top four floors and half the lobby of the Mita Twin Building and is a 5 minute walk from Tamachi station. The location is very good as you have access at Tamachi to the Yamanote line which is probably the single most useful line in Tokyo having interconnections to most other lines. The hotel is also a short walk from Mita subway station. There are convenience stores nearby and lots of restaurants a minute‚??s walk from the station. The room was a decent size for a Japane... Near tamachi station (5min walking). It's a modern style hotel, the rooms are in the last 4 floors, they are spaceful and confortable, there are a kettle and a fridge. The breakfast was nothing special, there aren't enougth places for the capacity of the hotel. The hotel offers washing machine and dryer.

This hotel is close to Tamachi station which is on the Yamanote JR line and the Mita station (part of the Toei line) making it a good location as a base to explore Tokyo. 10 min walk from the station to the hotel. The rooms are located on the top 4 floors of the block with breakfast being served in the hotel lobby. Rooms are reasonable size compared to the typical small Japanese hotel rooms. There is also a coin operated laundry room for public. A supermarket is conveniently located in front of... Read more

We were looking for a hotel close to the Yamanote line so that we could easily loop the city. This hotel is a short walk from the station, so it fit the bill nicely. The rooms themselves are on the top 4 floors, so you are afforded good views of the surrounding area. During our stay, we could clearly see Mt Fuji from the elevator waiting area. On first entering the accommodation area, my wife commented that it has a prison appearance; bars across the central open area and metal doors. The r... Read more

The rooms are clean though a little dated. Room size is quite small compared to other hotels of the same category. We had to position the 2nd suitcase against the door because there was no other place to position it. TV had only one English channel - CNN. Price of the room was easy on the budget. Breakfast buffet was your typical Japanese fare - the simple fare (grilled salmon, chicken patties) was actually delicious. The hotel was a pleasant 10-minute walk to a JR train station. So it was ... Read more

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful. They managed to get me a taxi during the typhoon even though the taxis were heavily booked. The room was very clean. Whilst the room was small, it was all manageable. You just had to be careful where you put your luggage. There is a supermarket across the road. This was very handy for water, snacks, lunch and dinner (they have ready made meals). There are also a couple of restaurants in the same building as the ... Read more

We tried to keep within budget so this place was a good option. It is a little far from Tokyo but we later realize it's actually in the middle between Shinjuku and Ueno. Train ride is only 20-25 minutes either way. The rooms in this hotel is fairly good size. Everything you will need is there including in house coin operated laundry machines which is good for our 10 day stay. Breakfast is good but can get boring after 3 days so we basically had breakfast eleswhere. There's a supermarket, great R... Read more

This hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of Tamachi station (JR line). There are plenty of well priced restaurants, a supermarket and buses and subway within minutes of the hotel. The staff are very professional, speak English and go out of their way to help you. The breakfast is an added bonus and access to a laundry which saves taking too many clothes away. The rooms are well appointed and very modern. I would highly recommend this hotel and will return when I am next in Tokyo.
