After having stayed at the Granbell Shibuya before we this time tried out the Akasaka branch, which is the newer property. We stayed in a premiere double room, which was quite big for Tokyo standards. I still like the beds in Granbell hotels, they're really comfy, which is very important. Bathroom was big a nice as well, nothing bad I can say about it. What I don't like is that the doors and walls are quite thin, you hear quite a lot from the floor. We were near the elevators, so almost everybod... Read more

Well I have stayed at the GranBell Akasaka now several times and it has quickly become my favorite place to stay when I am in Tokyo on business. First it provides easy access to the Akasaka-mitsuke Metro Station which is 5 minutes down the street and is no more than a 30 minute ride to my most common destinations. The neighborhood also offers a wide selection of dining choices as well as places to drink. The Mermaid is a pub which is conveniently located at the base of the hotel and there is a... Read more

The hotel is very well located. Akasaka is a well known bar and restaurant district with everything you need directly outside the hotel or within only a few minutes walk. The Tokyo metro station Akasaka-Mitsuke is also only a 2 min walk away meaning you have good access to everything in Tokyo. What was sad... the hotel's "breakfast". It really is a nasty coffee machine creating awful coffee. Just around the corner in either direction are great breakfast places. The hotel provided "breads" ... Read more

I am currently staying at this hotel for my first trip to Tokyo and I could not be more satisfied. Perfect position, just one minute on foot from Akasaka-Mitsuke metro station. This is really in the center of Tokyo and through the Ginza and Maronouchi lines you can reach all the coolest places of the city. The room is perhaps a little small but it is very pleasant and kept spotless clean. What I have like the best is the staff. They are just adorable, speak perfect English and do everything to l... What a gem of a hotel this is. Well located in the vibrant and exciting Akasaka area with plenty to excite the businessperson or tourist alike. Loads of bars, nightlife and great restaurants with easy access to the Tokyo Metro. The Airport Limousine Bus does it last stop at the Akasaka Excel Hotel and the Granbell is just a short 2 minute walk across the street. The rooms are compact, but clean and functional and every one has access to the free Wi-Fi, although the connection can be a bit inte... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights on the tail end of our vacation. It is really well located, a stones throw from the metro station which is a few stops from Tokyo station. Its in a very touristy spot but thats not entirely bad. The restaurants and bars in the area (i.e, right next door) were all great. After a long trip and travelling all over Japan, it was nice to spend a couple of nights within a small area. The service was great and the rooms weren't too small. The bed was super comfy and large... Read more

The hotel was very close to the station and there are many restaurants around. Free water bottles at the entrance, along with their small breakfast which is basically some pastries and juice, tea and/or coffee you can take to your room. They left a nice toiletries bag in my room when it was cleaned, that had all sorts of stuff, like make-up cleaner, cuticle oil, hair elastic, etc. They stored my bags for my when I arrived early and had them places in my room for when I came back. The room was sm... Read more
