We decided to end our Japan trip here in the Intercontinental Osaka. And definitely that was the best decision that we've made during this trip. After struggling with room space for almost 2 weeks, our last hotel was something that we really looked forward to. It's time to rest and relax. At first, if I'm not mistaken we booked the 2 bedroom Superior residence suite, or was it deluxe, I couldn't remember. But we were offered an upgrade with a really good deal for the two bedroom premium reside... Read more

I have been fortunate to have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world and this trip was no different: Saigon / Manila / Osaka / Tokyo and a brief rest bite in Dubai before flying back to Manchester all in 14 days. As I had never been to Japan I did a lot of research prior to making my booking and had no hesitation in choosing the Osaka Intercontinental as not only have I been a fan of the chain for the last 40 years but the hotel also had some extremely complimentary TripAdvisor reports.... We ended our holiday in Japan in Osaka the last minute. Decided not to leave this wonderful hotel, extended our stay and cancelled our other hotel in Kyoto. I couldn't agree more with the traveller who reviewed before me. Like them, I travel the world and have stayed in lots of hotels. Here is why IC Osaka has now become my all time #1 worldwide favourite hotel. Vibe & Friendliness of staff. I could not have been more welcomed into a hotel unless I was related directly to the staff. From pre-arrival contact, it was warm and genuine. Our room was a 2 bedroom residence. It was really nice. It was on the 30th floor and i loved the view at night. the negative was the small vanity area in the bathroom but everything else was extremely nice. The room was non-smoking but there was smoking on the 30th floor so the hallway did have a smell at times. Other than that it was all positive. The location was very good. Intercontinental Osaka was in the new redevelopment as part of the Grand Front Osaka building and occasionally felt like we weren't in Japan - it was so new and glamorous. The service was impeccable with attention to detail on every floor, even in the gym and a welcomed at the lift on the bottom floor. Great gym & pool, good views from the bar and room. I always stay in this hotel when I visit. Recently someone asked 'why?' and I told them because it all fits together so perfectly. The rooms, the bar, breakfast and the reception. It is consistently sophisticated and cool. That was before. Now Adee (the bar) has been transformed into a techno-nightclub on sedatives so, if you are a business traveler and you've had a hard day, best stay in your room. The bar is rubbish. It's for dating. It's an Intercontinental, so of course this is a great hotel. Fabulous fit-out, polite and helpful staff. Great room quality. Our 2BR "residence" was well equiped and spacious. This is an amazingly beautiful and luxurious hotel. The bathroom is modern, with glass walls (with privacy options), and a deep tub. The decor is up to date, wood floors, huge windows. The service is impeccable. Staff meets you outside and escorts you all the way to your room. All calls for toiletries etc are addressed immediately. This hotel is better than the Park Hyatt Tokyo!

This was the second time we stayed here and can honestly say we'll make it a third the new time we're town. The hotel is beautiful and well-located, the service courteous and professional. Didn't get to try the spa, but heard great things from the other guests. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the view was gorgeous. Very clean, with plenty of amenities. It's the little things - We were upgraded to a suite. It included a kitchen that allowed us to take advantage of a local farmers' m... Read more

Stayed at two residential suites for a five day trip with my sibling and parents. This is the first time my parents visited Osaka, and they found the accommodation very comfortable. A few pros here: The staff here have excellent command of English. Very comfy bed - you don't want to leave! Very clean. Location wise - they offer complimentary taxi service from the airport limousine bus station at the New Hankyu Hotel. Very convenient for travelers. The hotel is on the north wing of Grand Fro... I have travelled and stayed in many hotels, but I have to say this hotel was probably one of the best hotels. We stayed in Intercontinetal hotel Osaka for one night. It was just a very short stay to prepare for an early flight the next morning. We probably stayed from around 8 pm to 5 am next morning. Very hectic. However, wonderful staffs and the luxurious room definitely made us relax. Only a few hours in this hotel, and we felt as fresh as new the next morning! This really shows what a won... Read more

On a recent trip to Japan, the Intercontinental here in Osaka was considered the lowest luxury hotel of the five we stayed at, in terms of previous reviews (the others being Park Hyatt Tokyo, Grand Hyatt Tokyo, Hyatt Regency Kyoto and the Conrad Tokyo.) Our experience, however, puts this near the top. From the moment of our arrival, with our bags quickly escorted to the lobby on the 20th floor, to the room upgrade upon check in, to the helpful staff in the bar, lobby, lobby bar, and pool areas, ... This is definitely one of the best hotel I have stayed so far. The most basic room measures 50 sq meter, something rare in Japan. All the hardware and amenities meet the standard of a 5-star hotel. Most of all, I want to congratulate them for training up such a world class staff team. Right before I checked-in, I had been emailing with them for restaurant booking, transportation direction etc. All replies came promptly in the most professional way. This hotel has the premium service and setting. The reception for checking in is at level 20, and the service staff is most professional. I needed a restaurant reservation for 12 pax and she did the recommendation booking and provided the directions to the restaurant. The room is fairly large in size, and the bath room has both a bathtub and rain shower. Rooms has free wifi and Bose Link sound system.

This hotel is consummate. So why it is my second best? Because my home in Japan is IC Tokyo Bay. It hurts me to have to pick between them. Jerome Pelacour, the GSM in Osaka is the most professional and competent 'hotel' man I have ever met. His pub is fantastic. The rooms are stunning snd the bathrooms are out of this world. But the Club space is really very, very special. When you visit Osaka, there is nowhere else to stay. It is a safe, warmly enveloping hotel with a touch of fun. I like that.... Read more

After 3 weeks traveling in Japan, this was the best cost-benefit five star hotel I found. Although 100% ocidental, they offer an interesting onsen, besides a large and luxurious room, and the most modern bathroom I've seem in Japan. The restaurants are also fine and deserves any yen paid.

Really enjoying my stay at the intercontinental. Great views. Luxurious rooms with big comfy beds and a beautiful freestanding bath. Spacious rooms. Nespresso machines in the rooms. All in all absolutely love the hotel but ¥1200 plus service charge for a coffee seems a bit much and breakfast is very expensive. Head to the bakeries in the mall next door for breakfast and coffee.

Don't confuse Shin-Osaka station (where bullet train arrives) and Osaka Station where this hotel is. Lots of food options within easy walking distance. Many in the attached towers.
