The hotel it's not located in the city center. You have to take metro or taxi to go to Namba or Umeda. The rooms are old and the hotel needs a renovation. The breakfast it's bad.The staff don't speak very good English. The view from the 51 floor it's nice. You can see the city from above. It's open for breakfast till midnight.

The hotel is located close to Benten-cho Station of the JR, about 10 minutes away from Umeda. Also a metro station is there so it is very convenient in terms of the public transport. You can enjoy the nice view of the city of Osaka. It is expensive but at the same time reasonable for the location.

Found out the hard way this hotel not gaijin or family friendly. Front desk personnel were surprisingly too busy to acknowledge. I first stood by the concierge desk, then sat for 20 minutes without any response. Too expensive a hotel at 23000„ a night to be treated that way.

Nice lobby and breakfast restaurant, great views from the top floor and also our room. Good sized rooms and clean modern bathroom. terrible bedding. Mattress like a brick, pillows filled with bean bags and rocks. Location good, right on the jr line and subway and close to universal.

We stayed here for 2 nights, the service was good, gladly they have staff from India that can explain things in english. The hotel looks old but well maintained. The location was great, subway entrance is 30meters away from the hotel. Also the JR line is a walking distance from here, just the opposite of this hotel. The problem was the bed. They need to change the bed because it was way too stiff. My wife currently pregnant and she's having trouble with sleeping here. She even think to move to ... Read more

Convenient location as only a few stops to aquarium and dotonbori. Hotel itself is a little old and room size is on the smaller side. Car parking available for those with hire cars. Convenience stores nearby. Stay overall was fine but would not stay here again as price a bit high for what you get.

Summary of visit in June 2016 - located very close to metro station Bentencho (with 2 lines) hence accessibility to airport, city center etc is very convenient - Osaka loop line stops at Bentencho from kansai airport, so no need to change lines with bags, this really helps - convenience stores nearby for basic amenities - rooms are small and the bed & pillows like most have mentioned could have been better - No Safe in room - View from room (city facing) not ferris wheel facing is fantastic... Extremely happy with my stay. The room and bathroom were immaculate. The view out of my room alone deserves 5 stars, especially at night and during sunrise (viewing the city side). Self service Coffee and Tea in the room with nice toiletries if you are missing a toothbrush, razor, hair brush, and q-tips. The self washing toilet is nice too. The train station is like a 3 minute walk from the lobby.

This hotel is a beautiful hotel. When we booked it they only had smoking rooms left so we were a bit skeptical about it. Once we entered the room it didn't smell like smoke at all and the room had enough space for 3 people. I highly recommend this hotel. It has a beautiful view and it is right near the metro and JR stations. It is about a 3 minute walk.

Hotel Baytower was very nice. Room was standard size and amenities for this price in Japan. Lobby has spectacular chandelier, gorgeous fresh floral arrangements and a grand piano on second floor for live music. I didn't eat at the hotel, though the views from the restaurant & Sky Lounge bar were awe-inspiring!. Easy access from Bentencho subway station. There's an urban picnic area tucked in close to the station next to the bicycle parking with a table and chairs - great for people watching and... Read more

frankly , getting to osaka from kyoto was a little confusing !! we had to change trains and take a subway as advised by the help desk , tourist information office at kyoto . little did we realise , it was so close to the Bentencho Station ! Just a walk away from there !! in fact the second floor of the Hotel leads directly to the station !!! a lovely structure , with a lovely view of one part of the city showing different colored lights at night ..a beautiful view ... the rooms are spacious and... Great Location...being virtually connected to the Bentencho Station which offers you very quick connections to the major attractions of Osaka such as Universal Studios and The Aquarium. However, the beds were terrible beyond description. It was like sleeping on a rock. Rooms were quite small, but not out of the ordinary for Japanese standards. Check in was a breeze and front desk staff was very helpful whenever I requested any assistance.

Well, just like several other reviews; The bad; -Mold in the bathroom -Cracked sink -Mash up of carpet pieces / stains / patches -Wallpaper patches held in place with scotch tape / colored duct tape -bed is a wooden pallet, pillows are rocks -super modern decor, for 1970 -every restaurant is weird, tacky, and waaaay overpriced Good; -the view at night. Not a four star by any stretch, now. Maybe in 1970, when brass, and honey oak was luxurious.

Hotel was much better in real life than from pictures or some descriptions. I was quite surprised. Hotel room was quite big by Japanese standards. In Europe you will get much smaller rooms and for much bigger price. View from the room to Osaka Bay was in incredible. The one of most amazing night views I have ever seen. Hotel location isnâ??t too bad at all. It is very close to the metro/train line station and can be very easy accessible from/to airport, city centre or Osaka main train station ... Read more

Run down Hotel with 80s feel. Badly needs new carpeting, renovation. Whole place feels dated and a bit dingy but it's passable. Not great. I doubt the veracity of the glowing reviews its getting. That said, the view is the best part, amazing view of Osaka. The hotel's immediate location is not very good but it's right on a subway station with quick access so it's convenient. Not much within walking distance, a couple local izakayas. The main problem with the hotel are the beds. I'm use... Read more

The property itself is amazing. The rooms floor start at 30rd which makes the city view incredible, but the rooms interiors are terribly outdated, around 90's. They still use metal keys for the rooms. beds are the worst. I don't feel it worth the money to spend in this hotel. Really a shame to see a nice hotel stopped in the past and I don't see management replying to complaints here.

nice view. JR and subway is right near the hotel. The Osaka port is close to the hotel, lots of famous spot is also can arrive by the subway. You can put your luggage in the hotel in the morning, then check-in in the afternoon or evening. The staff is friendly and also speak good english. Sometimes wi-fi is a little bit slow. I only communicate with the staff in English.

I would not stay here again. I payed way too much for the quality of accommodation I received. The decor is very outdated, it wasn't very clean (carpets are stained) and my bed was ROCK hard. I noticed in some of the reviews that this is typical in Japan? I have not had that experience whatsoever. I'm a young guy and this bed made me quite stiff and sore the following day. It is right next to Bentencho station which is handy considering there really isn't much options for food and drinks in ... Read more

My wife and I came to Japan on our honeymoon and spent a few days in Osaka in this hotel. We were very pleased. The staff was friendly, the room offered plenty of amenities. I especially liked the single cup espresso machine. I enjoyed a cup every morning while sitting at the desk looking out into the Osaka skyline. Great location, connected to a JR station. We thought the beds were comfortable, but we don't like super soft beds (it's better for your back to have some firmness). The decor was fi... Read more
