After a nice event, a stay in a quite big, clean room and a for Japanese standards exceptional breakfast I was very disappointed by the incorrect invoice when checking out. Even after complaining they didn't change. It shows about 20% as "taxes" which actually consists of their service fee and then the 8% vat charges. The hotel obviously hides their fees and blames the government. I am not complaining about the amount itself but the way they declare it. Actually, I also had to replace my Ame... Read more

Stayed here a couple nights for sightseeing. This hotel is everything the Hilton Tokyo Bay used to be. Catered to business travelers and including the fabulous Windows on the World bar up top (think the Grand Hyatt lounge in Lost in Translation) replete with a traveling duo - and 24 hour room service available. Our room was fantastic with a great view down on the city with a window length bench that is perfect for enjoying an evening watching the city below. We used this as a home base to visi... Read more

I have read reviews about this hotel that it is a Business Hotel but the reception and attention I got from the staff is very warm and inviting. Firstly, the location is excellent with easy access to all the train stations. It made visiting Kyoto, Nanba and other areas a breeze. Secondly, the shopping experience is second to none with all major shopping malls around the hotel and for something a little more local, try the underground shops located under the JR Railway or Hankyu Railway. We were 7 couples on a super luxury Japan trip. Travel agent Thomas cook put us in Hilton claiming it is at par with ritz carlton... there is no comparison from the word go... it is like comparing apples and oranges . The rooms were really tiny and it seems this was after upgrading us to executive floor (without any executive floor benefits ). Such a let down it was. ..the bar on the top floor would charge in house guests 1000 yen additional for a table ..amd still not give one !! The amenities... Read more

First time staying at Hilton Osaka and really enjoyed the convenience its location offered. It's linked to the Nishi-Umeda subway station, while the Hanshin line and JR Osaka station are within walking distance. There's no lack of dining and shopping options as big malls are within reach. This hotel is located at Umeda, near Osaka stations. It is very convineant to the guests who love shopping as many famous shopping malls nearby. There are many good and famous restaurants around the hotel, you can enjoy the delicious Japanese food easily. The room is clean and tidy with bigger room size. Hotel staff can speaks English very well and can easily communicate with them, besides, service is good as hotel staff are very helpful.

We are Hilton diamond members and stayed here 3 nights with our kids ages 1 and 3. We were allowed access to the executive lounge on the 32nd floor even with the kids! The spread was great but the view from the lounge was amazing. We were given the choice to have breakfast in the lounge or the main floor. Since we didn't want the kids to be disruptive in the small lounge, we chose to have breakfast on the main floor which was also complimentary. The Osaka station was right outside but since the ... Enjoyed two night stay during a recent business trip. Great location for many options. The room I had was on the 34th floor (top) and it was perfect. The was no outside sounds. Two sliding screens (one rice paper and the other one a block out screen) were really nice to add ambiance throughout the day/night. The beds and pillows were amazing. The room was decent in size which included window bench and desk. The staff was helpful at every turn. Front desk, housekeeping and concierge were all... Read more

The hotel is in the middle of several shopping centres and has a underground connection to the station. It is a modern style with a touch of Japanese culture. The high floors gives a great view and if you are a hilton elite member you will have access to the executive lounge and use the pool area for free.

Japan and this hotel were wonderful. Of course it was our first time on the fancy heated toilet since arriving. Very quiet, modern and clean. We did not eat here but did have some drinks in the lobby lounge. Prices on par with a hotel of this calibre. No complaints just a bit pricey.

Great Hilton property. Excellent service with a special mention to the concierge team, location is simply perfect with direct access to the subway and the JR right below the hotel, rooms are small but cute and well arranged to feel home and have everything one may need. Highly recommended place.

Booked a tower suite. The suite itself is great with no aging signs. No upgrade/welcome drink/personal greetings for a diamond member. The lounge is very crowded in happy hour time. You have to get a number and the staff will call you when there is free table, which is not ever seen in other hilton hotels. There is a long queue for breakfast even at the restaurant too. Obviously the hotel is reaching it's full capacity and the customer experience is very sacrificed.

Right near Osaka station, where you can be lost for hours amongst shopping, department stores, restaurants as well as the business district. Easy access to the subway and JR lines. Hotel staff really helpful and fast even with an incredibly busy hotel. Full of business and leisure visitors during our four nights.

As expected, everything in the room was impeccably clean. Bed was comfortable and love love love their linen. Feels luxurious. Staff were very helpful and communicate in English. Wasnt able to check if they had other amenities in the hotel because we were out most of the time. the toilet seat was typical Japanese - heated, with bidet where waterflow can be controlled. Even a portion of the mirror was heated so it remains clear after a hot shower. It was also near the train station and the area h... Read more

I stayed at Hilton Osaka on business trip. The location is needless to say one of the most convenient in Osaka, walking distance from Osaka station. The rooms are clean and the service was very professional. After a long day of work and travel, I much appreciated the professional manner and the hospitality at check-in. Recommended for business or private traveller, it will not be a dissapointment.

TL;DR: Great hotel, terrible wifi. If reliable connectivity is important to you, I suggest look for another property or rent a pocket wifi separately. Booked an executive floor room for 3 nights. As others already mentioned, great location and exceptional service. Our room was nicely appointed and a step above average compared to other Hilton properties. After completing arrival process I thought Hilton Osaka will easily be in my top 3 favourite Hilton worldwide but the wifi in the room is very... Read more

The concierge was able to arrange car service for a business colleague before arrival at Kansai. Even arrange English speaking drivers since he did not speak Japanese. Upon late arrival, he was met, and escorted to the hotel and promptly checked in.

We loved the location of the hotel, right across Osaka station. Everything we needed was walking distance, pharmacy, coffee shop, convenience store, mall, restaurants, subway line, airport bus, the works. Rooms were larger than the usual Japan hotel rooms at 30sqm, which gave us enough comfortable space to move about and for our shopping bags. After this experience, I think Umeda is definitely the better place to stay than everbusy Namba. Fewer people, possibly fewer tourists so less vendors in ... Read more

For location, quality and value this hotel is your best choice in the Kita-Ku (Umeda) area. This is our second time here as a family and it was great both times. Do not miss the breakfast from 6:30 to 10:00. Many reasons to stay but the location can not be beat. Steps from JR Osaka Station and yet very quite.

Lobby looks fresh and modern, totally deceiving to the rest of the hotel. The lifts look 20 years old, they are loud and slow, definitely not something one would expect in a 5 star hotel. Was extremely disappointed by the room: its size, views and bathroom were poor. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and felt as if i was sleeping on a rock. Concierge service was poor, no good advice was given for dining options in the area. Only thing i truly enjoyed about this hotel was the Club Sandwich pr... Read more

We stayed three nights at the Hilton Sydney and then flew to Tokyo, took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Osaka and stayed four nights in the Hilton Osaka. I've written a trip advisor review of both hotels in the same format so you can compare. Both hotels are skyscraper city hotels and both share the same amenities; pool, executive lounge and multiple restaurants. I have a Hilton Diamond card and that should provide early check in, room upgrade, guaranteed lounge access, breakfast, fast wi-fi,... Read more

Osaka Hilton - great location and amazing service... As our flights were cancelled, we missed the first night - we called the Hilton and made the cancellation - but once we reached the hotel they hadn't canceled the previous night... Communication at the front desk was an issue... But, overall the service was amazing... The breakfast in the restaurant on the top floor with the excellent views was always the highlight... I have stayed at the Hilton Osaka on numerous occasions over the years, and have always had an enjoyable stay. However, I was disappointed on this stay. I stayed on an executive floor, but it appears that my floor may have been added to the inventory, as there was no stair case to the executive lounge, so I had to wait for an elevator. The rooms look to have been remodeled recently, and the decor felt somewhat antiseptic and modern. Wood floors and stone entry, with a table instead of a des... Read more

We had a weekend at the Hilton Osaka. Check in was a breeze, we had used the excellent choose a room before we arrived. We were treating ourselves so had club rooms. Our room was a good size, bed comfortable, great window seat that let you see wonderful views of Osaka. Japanese touches with the blinds. It was however hard to shake the fact that the rooms were just a touch tired. Maybe it was the old TV? The dated decoration? Or maybe I am just a fussy reviewer? The club rooms were good,... Very comfortable room - nice size with a fantastic view overlooking the city. A good location to explore the city from and right next to Osaka station. Bed was full size King and very good. Bathroom was awesome (full wet room with tub and shower), good internet. Would absolutely stay here again. Watch out for the bar on the top floor - views no better than the room and outrageous prices ($28 for a Grey Goose martini and then they added tax and tip (in Japan?).
