Superb location equidistant from Gion and train station. Rooms have western comfort of good air conditioning and private plumbing although our room tub and shower was quite old but was clean and worked well,. Just enough Japanese character with Tatami mat and futons to give a Japanese traditional feeling. Service is very accommodative but english speaking is average. Western breakfast is weak but Japanese breakfast is strong. Courtyard is lovely. Complimentary in-room tea snacks daily. Onsens ... Read more

This ryokan makes for a great authentic Japanese experience. I have stayed 6 or so different ryokans in Japan, and this one is very nice. The entrance walkway is goregous and the decoration, even inside the elevator, is elegant. The onsens are a real highlight--the outdoor bath is absolutely lovely, and all four of them have nice gardens that they look out on, are spacious and very clean. We had a traditional Japanese dinner in our room one night which is an experience I recommend--the servers s... Read more

This traditional ryokan in the central Kyoto district is clean, comfortable and has delicious food for breakfast. The staff were super helpful and the bathhouses were clean and in a beautiful setting. We could walk to buses and metros easily and loads of restaurants are in this area. They allowed us to store our bags and helped us with transportation around Kyoto. I would highly recommend this ryokan!!

Location is perfect in the city center and the public baths are well decorated in Japanese style. Employees are very welcoming. But this place is not a ryokan as the name seems to precise, more than 30 rooms, so the private atmosphere as we expect in a ryokan is not really here. It's hard to find someone speaking English, hard to believe for this standing. Rooms are quite good, except the bathroom very basic. We had the Japanese style and western style breakfast : for western we had fried chi... Read more

If you are trying out a Ryokan for the first time, Kazuki could be a good start. The location is not too far from the subway and is very quiet. However, the room was not too impressive. It was quite dated (I feel it needs refurbishing). The size was comfortable (based Japanese standards), the heating was satisfactory and tatami was really comfortable. What I like most of this Ryokan are the 3 onsens. We tried every one at different times of the day. The dinner and breakfast were part of the pa... Read more
