Not to bad a hotel bit small but clean and tidy. But if your in a hurry arrange a meeting time about hour and hour earlier as these must be the slowest lifts I have ever been in . Honestly so so slow. The laundromat tho is fantastic clean tidy and the machines were well kept with a drink and eat machine inside there as well so you had extra comforts to keep you company whilst watching your washing go round and round and round.....Hotel is very close to train station and shops so there is plenty... Great place to stay. We booked a double room and two twin rooms, the twin rooms were bigger and better equipped. The rooms were well equipped, clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, with a large variety of international foods. Sometimes, breakfast was busy and there was a queue, however, the staff efficiently moved people in and out. The laundry room was handy, 300 yen for the washing machine and 100 yen for 30 minutes in the dryer. The mac... Read more

This hotel offer great room in very strategic location in front of Kyoto Station. It means you can ago anywhere in Japan. I've been here for 5 days, and this hotel can be my base camp to go around Japan,. In Kyoto Station you can get every kind of transportation from bus, local train, shinkansen to go whereever you want. Overall this hotel is great except for the breakfast that always offer same menus everyday

It is just located only across of Kyoto Station. The room is clean and the breakfast food taste is good. Another best part is, if your next Japan trip is Tokyo and will be staying at ibis hotel Shinjuku, you can have your baggage send to ibis hotel Shinjuku at a reasonable cost and you can travel baggage free.

We left early, cancelled the rest of our booking and were charged a cancellation fee despite our reservation that clearly said no fees for modification or cancellation. Travelling with a teen boy, having a hotel entrance directly opposite what looked like a brothel or similar girly joint for men (obvious men's sign like the ones at toilets, girly pics, ¥95 for 10 mins in Japanese) we have never stayed at a place more inappropriate for families with children old enough to figure out those signs... This hotel is across the road from the Shinkansen side of the Kyoto JR station. The reception is on the 3rd floor with the breakfast area on the second. It is a flat walk so no problems with access. The rooms are typical Japan city size, meaning small but perfectly functional. Ours was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was of a typical size but with all the necessities one needs. The shower was particularly good. The bath is small but usable. It filled fairly quickly. ... Nishikawa-san checked us in & out and he is a very good employee. Thank you! This hotel is located opposite JR Kyoto Station, you can take the Hachijo East Exit to arrive here. The reception is on level 3. The price we paid was pocket friendly and the room we had was spacious and faced the JR. The hotel has a taxi-stand and 24hrs car rental and carpark right downstairs. The airport and express bus stops are also right downstairs. The bus platforms are G1 & G2. The breakfast is a variety o... Read more

It's a chain hotel, conveniently located across the road from Kyoto station's south entrance. The room was clean and tidy, if not a little on the small side. Comfy bed, pillows and duvet. Small bathroom with mini tub but nice shower. Breakfast was very busy, the staff tried their best to keep everything clean and well stocked though. There are probably nicer hotels in the area but if you want a safe bet go for this.

I was there alone on vacation. I had a very comfortable room with same well known ibis quality. Great breakfast with chance of having it as take away if you need to travel very early in the morning. Location is incredible. I was able to reach downtown and main touristic places by foot. I was able to catch very early shinkansen in the morning since it is very closed to the train station (that is bus terminal as well). Best choice in the area for sure.

Ideal for hopping on the subway and buses to tour Kyoto. The rooms are very average. The bed is comfortable enough, but the pillows are like stones! Breakfast is excellent and offers vegan options which is a tough find in Japan. Overall, great value & location.
