We stayed at this hotel for one night only. I was travelling with my wife and 4-year old daughter. We were very pleasantly surprised with our room as it was fairly huge even by western standards. It was well equipped with amenities --- cable tv, personal refrigerator, and even an air purifier. The bathroom was spotless and had a very nice shower. I thought it was also nice that the hotel provided bath robes and a good length shoe horn so you do not have to bend to put on your shoes. We chose th... Read more

My experience was a bit different from that of the average guest, because I had two things going on: I had sprained my ankle when I arrived in Kyoto, and I also had to write a final paper for a class back home. When the staff saw me limping into the hotel to check in, they were super nice and sent someone to the train station to pick up my luggage from a coin locker. They also gave me directions to the nearest hospital, which fortunately was only about a block away. Because of the ankle, I was... Read more

Happy with this hotel. Staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful. We had an issue with our next stop in Tokyo and the receptionist telephoned ahead to sort the issue for us in Japanese which was very much appreciated. Rooms were small but adequate as a base for exploring this lovely city. Everything worked and was spotlessly clean (plus housekeeping attended every day). Location is excellent - right opposite the train station and bus station. That's great a) convenience for trains and bus... Read more

Have to say this was the worst place we have stayed since being in Japan. Room was not thoroughly cleaned. Dirty marks on walls and mirrors. Bedside table dusty. We left key at reception when we went out. Upon returning to pick something up at around 10am we were told "sorry room cleaning please wait here". Eventually we convinced them we just needed to grab something and go then they let us have our key. I returned back to the hotel just before 3pm and again was told same thing "room cleaning p... Stayed here for 2 nights. Paid a little over SGD 200 per night (No breakfast included). Requested for a room facing Kyoto station but staff declined saying that for the price I paid, I could have only the room I was given. Positives 1. Convenient location. Just opposite to Kyoto station. Very Easy to locate. Negatives 1. Very compact room. Booked double room (single larger bed for 2 people). Hard for 2 people to fit in. 2. No closet 3. No place to even open your luggage. Proceeded to go with ... Read more

Small rooms but definitely good location just across the Kyoto train station. Beds are quite hard but ok for short stay. Breakfast is so good Japanese style but for travelers staying more than 2 nights I think better not to have breakfast in your package since it's the same everyday. Starbucks McDonald's family Marty and another coffee shop is just next to the hotel so there would be no problem getting food anytime. Would definitely come back and stay at this hotel.

Hotel location is great, just across the street from train/subway station, in the heart of Kyoto. Can get to any destination quickly. Hotel itself is fairly blah. We had to reserve a "small double room" because it was the only non-smoking option left. It was the smallest room we stayed in all of Japan! I would definitely try for a larger room. The one window was tiny and faced a wall, so not much natural light. The room was very clean and quiet, though. Front desk was efficient.

Our party of 4 stayed here for a week.  Each couple had a non-smoking room.  The rooms were quite small, and as is common in Asia, there were no drawers for unpacking so we had to live out of our suitcases.  The location was excellent, right across from Kyoto Station.  It was a short walk to catch a train or subway to any destination.  There is plenty of shopping in the Kyoto Station, including many restaurants and  food courts.  We found a bakery that we liked, and picked up food there f... The hotel location gives a convenient access to Kyoto train station and station bus stop, which makes moving around easy. Reasonably priced, comfortable and clean. Recommend to stay if you are planning to visit Kyoto as a tourist.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Kyoto. The location is ideal as it is right across the street from Kyoto Station and you can reach most anywhere in Kyoto within 30 minutes. The rooms are a bit small, but I find it to be standard. The only complaint I really have about the hotel is the WiFi. Though it is free, it is so slow at times that is it not usable. I would still stay here again as the location is perfect and the staff is friendly.

The hotel is situated right in front of Kyoto station so the location is very convenient for the bus and underground transport. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. There is a small cafe on the ground floor for a light breakfast or there is a Japanese breakfast option in the restaurant next to the cafe

We booked a room for family of 2 adults and one 3 year old child. The room was terrible - not even suitable for a couple, even for Japanese standards. The least they could do, is not advertise it as a room for 3. The room was large enough for a small double bed, so the child has to sleep with us. There is no room for luggage. Bathroom is miniature. Window faces some restaurant chimney, so you can't open it, otherwise the room fills with frying smell. To sum it up - avoid it if you can. BTW, we a... Read more

The location of this hotel is perfect because it is across the street from Kyoto station. Trains, subway and city buses are easy to take from there. The hotel is nice, clean but the room was too small for two people. Ask for a double bed room to have a little bit large room, in the understanding that most hotels in Japan have small rooms. If you are not a smoker, request a room in a non smoking floor. It is nice they have a couple of coin washing and drying machine. Breakfast in the cafeteria i... Read more

Hotel is located right across Kyoto station, Kyoto Tower side (literally right next to the tower). Booked a single room (double bed) for one person, non-smoking. Lobby is located on the second floor. Double bed could fit two people but it would be a tight squeeze as the room was smaller than I expected. No closet/wardrobe to put clothes in just several hangers located on the wall with one luggage rack holder. Room and bathroom nice and clean. To enter bathroom you need to step up so be caref... The room was really small, but we loved it's location right next to Kyoto tower, making it easy to walk to the station (which we love by the way) and also making it easy to just on the metro to explore the city.

When we booked this hotel for our stay in Kyoto, we knew that the room would be small, but had no idea it would be that small. It still worked out well for us. The room was clean, we had free wifi and the hotel provided us with free umbrellas on the days that it rained. The staff was friendly and the location couldn't have been any better, being right across from the Kyoto train/bus station.

We booked two nights via Japanican package tour (include hi-speed train ride from Tokyo). Hotel is nearby Kyoto Tower and hence easy to find. Room size is rather small (We booked twin bedrooms), service is good, clean and location is great (walking distance to Kyoto station) to move around (via subway) in Kyoto. The only issue with this hotel is it's noisy (due to external noises and sound proofing not sufficient) at night.
