1) location and price was why we chose this hotel 2) after coming from a modern hotel. This hotel is seriously dated. They are still using keys to unlock the door. 3) helpful staff which got us to the bike parking place down the street. Because we can't communicate in Jap. But we still had to figure the parking charges ourselves. 4) smallest bed and room ever. Toilet also very small. But i used the hair dryer a lot. 5) has fresher spray in room for fabrics and room. 6) very outdated TV set... Read more

The room was tiny, hot and the bathroom was bigger on the A380. Well placed for the station and clean. Internet was worse than poor. Would not stay again, and wouldn't want to stay in summer the air con is awful! The whole hotel needs updating,

We wanted a hotel within easy walking distance of the bus terminal/train station and decided to give this hotel a try. It is very walkable from train/bus station, a few minutes away left of the Kyoto Station "Central Exit". There is a BIC Camera and 7-11 nearby. The hotel areas are a bit dark and slightly dated. Our room (615) is a so-called small semi-double room and it lives up to its name. We are Asian-sized and found the room, bathroom and bed a tight squeeze. Sleep quality was poor as th... Read more

We booked two rooms. The check in time is 3 pm and the check out time is 11 am. Any deviation is subject to extra charge. The check in time is religiously adhered to though we arrived 2.55pm. We had to wait until exactly 3 pm. The rooms are extremely tiny though you get everything you need, we had to ask and pay for an upgrade which gave us more rooms. It is a hotel where you just want to sleep as a traveller. No thrill hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while in Kyoto. The first thing to mention is that the location is excellent. It is a few minutes walk to the Kyoto station, from there you can get on endless possibilities of trains and buses. There's also lots of restaurants in and below the station too. Even though it was close to the station I can't say I ever heard a train go past. The room was very small, but this is normal for hotels in Japan. Even though it was small the room was clean, furniture was... Read more

Pros: - Opposite Kyoto station - Convenience store very close by - Cafe on the ground floor (did not eat here but for those looking for convenience then this may be an attraction. NOTE: I would rather get food/drink from Kyoto station rather than here) - Friendly staff and very helpful - New linen/yukata provided everyday - Very clean Cons: - Extremely small. Very cramped even for a Japanese hotel room. Found it difficult to store/open two suitcases. There was a desk/chair jammed next to the be... Read more

It is at 5 minutes walking from Kyoto station, there are also some combini on the same road and there is a cheap looker for the luggages. The hotel it's nice and provides you, with toothbrush, slippers, razors. The room was quite small, but honestly I need a place to wash and sleep.

Even by japanese standards and by comparison to other hotels in the range these rooms were very small, thankfully we only had one bad between two people cause we would have struggled to fit two. We didnt have breakfast but if the line was anything to go by it probably wouldnt have been worth it anyway. Biggest issue with the hotel was the pillows which were more or less non-exsistent. Also the staff weren't rude but they certainly werent as charming as we were use to in japan

The location seems very great at daytime, but at night you'll hear the trains passing by. The rooms are very small, without enough space for two travelers. The beds and pillows are awefull. The bathroom is very practical, you can do three things at once... The breakfast is pretty good. Some of the front-desk personnel is just rude.

Location is very good, just near the Kyoto station. Very convenient. Rooms are small but like any APA hotel. Rooms a are clean and practical. Staff is very friendly, and always willing to help. Good value, we paid 9,000 Y/ night.

Conveniently located less than a 5 minute walk from the Kyoto JR station, which is connected to the Isetan Department Store, Porta Underground Shopping Mall and The Cube Shopping Mall. However, of all the properties that I visited in Japan, this was probably the smallest hotel room I encountered. Not only was the bed size small (full mattress size) for two people, it felt like a cheap or worn mattress (sagged in the center). Room size is also on the smaller size. There was no closet space, s... Read more

We loved the location of this hotel, and the staff were really friendly and it was nice and clean etc. however the bed was really narrow which made it uncomfortable, but if it was just one person staying it would be fine! The other thing we didn't like was that there was no safe in the room which we've had in every other hotel. Overall it was a good experience and like I said a great location, right around the corner from Kyoto station.

We stayed at this hotel after finding a deal on the internet. It is located about 5min walk from Kyoto Station, with a number of restaurants and convenience stores on the way. The staff spoke basic English and were very polite. They kept our luggage in a locked room until check in time. We were pleasantly surprised by our rooms as the photos and reviews we had seen looked a little run down but it seems they renovated. The rooms are small as expected with Japanese hotels. There was room at the en... Read more
