It's attached to the Hiroshima Station so it's very easy to catch your Shinkansen. The hop on-hop off bus stop it's right at the front door. Breakfast was not included. We got a nice room with a view of the station. The room was a bit small, but very clean, modern and comfortable. Wifi connection was very good. No complimentary bottled water in the room though. Staff was friendly and we could store our luggage after check out.

Right next door to station. Very comfortable and quiet and yet near to shops and supermarkets. Variety of restaurant choice for breakfast. Japanese. Chinese. Western. Or Sky view. Good reliable wifi. Secure system with room keys...access only to your floor. Beautiful bathrooms and lovely showers and comfortable beds.

This hotel is super convenient for travellers, being right next to the railway station and the sightseeing bus has a bus stop just outside the front door. You can take the bus to the Peace Park and walk back to the hotel through the shopping district, which only takes about 20 to 30 mins. The room itself was small but clean and well appointed. The bathroom was new with all amenities needed. For those with a JR pass, it can be used for the sightseeing bus and for an excursion from the station to ... Read more

Step off the Shinkansen train and enter this classic hotel which is lavished in marble. It doesn't stop there, it is a safe and secure hotel; your room access card gains you entry to the lifts and the cards are programmed with your floor. The room was very comfortable and clean. There is a service charge in the cocktail bar!

While the overall location and convenience of this property was fine, the property definitely needs work. The lobby has potential, but is clearly in need of a serious renovation. The rooms are small. The connections with high-speed rail and shopping are a positive.

After a long train trip, it was a delight to just be a few steps from our hotel. Very pleasant and comfortable. Not the closest to the usual tourist spots, but only an easy walk away. And plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity.

Walk out of the railway station and into the hotel. Perfect if you've just arrived on the Shinkansen. Modern and clean....isn't everything in Japan?....our room was light and spacious. There are restaurants in the hotel. We ate at the Chinese....not too badly priced. There are convenience stores within walking distance. We were picked up for a full day tour and then left for Osaka the he next day, so didn't venture far from the hotel.

Stayed at Granvia from May 30th for 4 nights. So convenient because it's located in the Shinkansen train station. Beautiful lobby and very courteous staff. Rooms are a little dated, but everything is spotless. Stayed in room 923 facing the front of the hotel. I didn't eat in the hotel as there are numerous places to eat around the station, especially in the department store Asse which is also connected to the station. Okonmiyaki is the famous food for Hiroshima so give it a try. Many shopping pl... Read more

Clean and comfortable room. Friendly and attentive staff. The biggest drawcard is the location of the hotel, which is above Hiroshima Station. The hotel is modern, bright, and has an expansive foyer which blends into the station.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel which is adjoining the station. We entered the 2nd floor directly from the station and the view down to reception was very impressive. All lights, crystal and mirrors. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the room comfortable and well equipped. We had the buffet dinner one night so we could sample lots of different Japanese dishes but whilst it was very nice, we felt it lacked a wide variety. Because of its location, it was central to all transport,... Read more

Stayed for just the one night in mid-May, a few days before US Prez Obama arrived. As part of the main train station building, access from the Shinkanzen and other trains is fantastic. On arrival, we were several hours early for official checkin time, so baggage staff intercepted us, offered to mind our luggage while we explored the city, and had it installed in our room by the time we returned. The room was large and well furnished, not spectacular, but certainly good quality. We would reco... Read more

Had a two day business / touring hybrid stay at the Granvia. I travel to Japan for business often but seldom actually leave Tokyo. This hotel was great - the location is right in the train station, but the hotel is ultra quiet and you have no idea that is the case once inside. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The lobby and restaurant (breakfast) were elegant. The staff was amazingly helpful. And, the location is both at the train station and at the first stop of the two major bus tour l... Read more

stayed for 2 nights in a double room. Size of room was small but comfortable with all amenities in place. Check in was a breeze and they had the luggage stored & delivered to room.Location is fabulous to arrival by airport limousine & by train. Biggest advantage is that the lobby is connected via a walkway to the Shinkansen trains. Nice restaurants in the atrium too.

Pity we only stayed one night because my family really enjoyed our stay in this excellent hotel. The service is impeccable, the room is posh and super clean, and the toiletries evokes luxury. The beds were comfortable we all slept late. Location is excellent as well. Connected to the Hiroshima train station, it makes a good option to drop you luggage and explore the city. Food options are plenty around the station. The loop bus starts and stops right in front of the hotel. The only letdown was... Read more

We took the bus in from the airport late at night and got dropped off right in front of the hotel. When we caught the bus the next morning to go sightseeing, the bus stop was right in front of the hotel. When we took the bullet train to Osaka, the train station was right next door to the hotel, and it was a convenient place to purchase our tickets as well as board the train in the morning. For those reasons alone, it was a great place to stay. The hotel is elegant and the rooms were clean an... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Hiroshima. We arrived the day after an earthquake in the very early morning, and since our room was on Level 10, were very pleased the earth didn't move again on our visit! The hotel has a nice lobby and service throughout was good. Our room was very small but had all the essentials we needed, including good wi-fi which we experienced throughout Japan. My family was not familiar with the Hiroshima area so we opted for a location close to the train station. Hotel Granvia is connected to the station and is less than a minute walk from the Shinkansen gates. The hotel rooms were nice and very quiet. The location made it very easy to walk to the gardens, A-Bomb Dome, and museum. Nothing was longer than 20 minutes of walking away from the hotel. There are many restaurants within 10 minute walk from the hotel. The staff was very polite. We a... Read more

The hotel itself is conveniently located within the grounds of the train station both local and shinkansen. You really can't get a better spot if you are popping in for a night or two. There is also a small mall with aome convenience stores and resteraunts within the same complex. The red loop bus (free on jr pass) leaves right outside the hotel and takes you to all the major points of interest. The staff are average in their service skills but do speak English fluently. Fantastic bar, I had a cigar and some excellent sake The jr bus leaves from the hotel and is free if you have a pass the bed was honestly awful though: I feel that this may be because that in Japan mattresses are hard? I did not enjoy the buffet: but this could be more a reflection on what I like to eat rather than anything else.

It was our first time visiting Hiroshima. Came in via Hiroshima airport and the bus ride into Hirsoshima station was easy and convenient. Location - The hotel is located at Hiroshima station so if you need to go anywhere by shinkansen or local trains it is ideal. We took a day trip to Miyajima and it was very easy. In order to reach to city whole tram stations also end/start in Hiroshima Station. So accessibility is great. Granvia has good offerning when compared to its price. I love it when you can walk to your hotel and the Granvia was easy. On your way to the North exit from the Hiroshima train station there's a sign that directs you to the left and to the hotel which is connected to the station. This hotel is located at the Hiroshima train station. We got off the train and walked right to the hotel. No ground transportation was necessary. Restaurants and shops are located on the lower levels of the station. We walked to dinner every night. Restaurants were readily available just steps away. We stayed here for one night and the place was great. It's located in the station, about 3-5 minutes from the Central Gates. The space was clean and the price was right at about $140 Canadian. We would stay there again given the location as we were in and out within two days and its location can't be beat.

Very nice hotel directly connected to the main train station (inside on level 2). We found it a convenient base to explore Hiroshima -- you can catch the tourist loop bus right outside the lobby, and trains to Miyajima are also convenient. The rooms are not big, but you don't expect large rooms in Japan. The shower/tub faucet was overly complicated but we managed. The wifi worked well. I would have given 5 stars except for the rather disappointing breakfast.
