It's attached to the Hiroshima Station so it's very easy to catch your Shinkansen. The hop on-hop off bus stop it's right at the front door. Breakfast was not included. We got a nice room with a view of the station. The room was a bit small, but very clean, modern and comfortable. Wifi connection was very good. No complimentary bottled water in the room though. Staff was friendly and we could store our luggage after check out.

This hotel is super convenient for travellers, being right next to the railway station and the sightseeing bus has a bus stop just outside the front door. You can take the bus to the Peace Park and walk back to the hotel through the shopping district, which only takes about 20 to 30 mins. The room itself was small but clean and well appointed. The bathroom was new with all amenities needed. For those with a JR pass, it can be used for the sightseeing bus and for an excursion from the station to ... Read more

Step off the Shinkansen train and enter this classic hotel which is lavished in marble. It doesn't stop there, it is a safe and secure hotel; your room access card gains you entry to the lifts and the cards are programmed with your floor. The room was very comfortable and clean. There is a service charge in the cocktail bar!

While the overall location and convenience of this property was fine, the property definitely needs work. The lobby has potential, but is clearly in need of a serious renovation. The rooms are small. The connections with high-speed rail and shopping are a positive.

Walk out of the railway station and into the hotel. Perfect if you've just arrived on the Shinkansen. Modern and clean....isn't everything in Japan?....our room was light and spacious. There are restaurants in the hotel. We ate at the Chinese....not too badly priced. There are convenience stores within walking distance. We were picked up for a full day tour and then left for Osaka the he next day, so didn't venture far from the hotel.

Stayed at Granvia from May 30th for 4 nights. So convenient because it's located in the Shinkansen train station. Beautiful lobby and very courteous staff. Rooms are a little dated, but everything is spotless. Stayed in room 923 facing the front of the hotel. I didn't eat in the hotel as there are numerous places to eat around the station, especially in the department store Asse which is also connected to the station. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel which is adjoining the station. We entered the 2nd floor directly from the station and the view down to reception was very impressive. All lights, crystal and mirrors. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the room comfortable and well equipped. Stayed for just the one night in mid-May, a few days before US Prez Obama arrived. As part of the main train station building, access from the Shinkanzen and other trains is fantastic. On arrival, we were several hours early for official checkin time, so baggage staff intercepted us, offered to mind our luggage while we explored the city, and had it installed in our room by the time we returned. Very nice hotel directly connected to the main train station (inside on level 2). We found it a convenient base to explore Hiroshima -- you can catch the tourist loop bus right outside the lobby, and trains to Miyajima are also convenient. A little more roomy than other standard "double" rooms. We were highly impressed with this hotel and the location can't be beat - right attached to Hiroshima station (zero noise) and near a lot of food options as well! We loved this hotel!

On the positive side, the staff were really helpful and spoke good English. The location was also handy - attached to the station, making it easy to catch trains or street cars around the city. However the cleanliness was average - I found some stray hairs which were not ours, including in our bed. Also, the room was slightly dated, the bed was really uncomfortable, and the shower was badly designed so water went everywhere. I expected more for the price we paid (around 140USD per night) an... We booked this hotel due to its prime location- literally at the Hiroshima station. As soon as you alight from the Shinkansen you're at the hotel. The green and orange tourist buses (free with JR rail pass) leave frequently from the front of the hotel. The room was very well appointed, with comfy beds and a choice of pillows. The pressure in the shower was fully adjustable and the towels were nice and fluffy. We had a fantastic view from our room on the 17th floor. Free daily paper (Japan News) ... Read more

Large, modern hotel with good service and nice rooms... some even have views over the Shinkansen lines at Hiroshima station. The hotel has one entrance right inside the station just below the Shinkansen tracks so super-convenient if using the trains or JR Pass as we were.

Arriving on the Shinkansen you just walk from the platform into the hotel foyer. Rooms are spacious and very clean. View from window included mountains , a great supermarket (Youme) and right outside you can catch the JR sightseeing bus (free with JR. pass). Also cheap bicycle hire from car park outside main entrance, enquire at reception. Good restaurants in hotel and bar / restaurant on roof with good views .

This is a great place to stay if you like to be close to the train station. Also, the sightseeing buses leave right from the fronton the hotel. We enjoyed our stay even though there was a lot of construction going on and it was a bit noisy and tricky to get around. One other thing is that the step to the front door is a bit tricky where you can easily fall if you are not paying close attention. They really need to do something about that.

We really enjoyed our stay here. To get here from the Shinkansen line you don't even have to leave the train station. They do have a separate entrance but there is also the one we used. The staff here were just lovely, friendly and helpful. Sleep quality was great, rooms were quiet. We did not have breakfast here but in the station which worked fine for us. The local sightseeing bus leaves from here and makes getting around so easy. We walked back from town the second day and really enjoyed ... Read more

I only had 2 nights in Hiroshima and decided I wanted to be close to the station as I was traveling by Shinkansen. Granvia is adjacent to the Station which was perfect. I arrived early and my room was not available so I left my bags and went off to visit the city. When I came back a few hours later check in was smooth and my bags where waiting for me in my room. The room itself was spacious and clean, with all modern amenities, including a mini fridge. Nice view of the station from 19th floo... Read more

We arrived by shinkansen into Hiroshima city and was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is so close by from the shinkansen exit! Besides its superb location - there are plenty of eateries and shopping close by, the room also feels new and comfortable. The buffet breakfast offers a good selection of Japanese and international selection, pretty impressive. I certainly like to consider Grandvia again when re-visiting Hiroshima.

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's attached to the station next to lots of food shops, bookshops and restaurants. Hotel is clean and looks nice. Rooms are a little small but not cramped with a fridge, kettle, hairdryer. The Japanese yukatas are provided too. Bathroom has excellent shower and nice complimentary toiletries. Bar downstairs had a half price happy hour with some really nicely made cocktails. All in all, really enjoyed staying here.

Found the Granvia to be very convenient as located just by the train station. Easy to use the local transport, i.e. the trams to get in to town, to see the bombed dome, art galleries and gardens. We were greeted by a very sweet girl, who took our very heavy cases to our room. The hotel lobby area looks very grand. Its a really nice hotel, and found it very good value for money. Our rooms was small but perfectly formed for our two night stay, and sleep wear provided!
