Only four buttons to control air conditioner, H, M, L and OFF. We switched air conditioner to "H" and then went out to have dinner. When I returned after 3 hrs, my room become a spa room, super super hot. After checking with front desk, central air conditioning system in room was set as warm air no cold air, but central air conditioning system in corridor, reception or restaurant were still cold air. It is in Oct, the temp is around 15-20 degrees Celsius. Staff suggested to turn off air con and ... Read more

Whilst the setting is good and the staff helpful I cannot recommend this hotel. I have seen a comment from November about the hot air conditioning system. It's now April and my room is boiling! Staff say they will turn it to cold but might take 30mins. In the meantime I have no window that opens!! Hope there's no fire! Also, breakfast is minimal. Hope the temperature drops before I fry!!!

I booked a twin room with river view. The view was excellent. The staff were very helpful. I went to the hotel in the morning and left my baggage there. When I returned in the afternoon to check in, my baggage was aleady put in my room. I used the computer in the lobby for online fligth check-in. The staff kindly helped me change the keyboard from Japanese to English and helped me print my boarding pass. I enjoyed eating breakfast in the morning at the hotel restaurant while looking at the river... Read more

When we arrived at Hiroshima‚??s central station it was raining hard so we got a taxi to our hotel, only took about 5mins. Walking back to the station later it took about 10mins. The station is the central point for trains, buses and streetcars (trams) to the various places of interest. Also on the route from the hotel are several eating establishments. Booked into our room by the friendly staff, ours was Rm 902, for a two night stay. Small compact room, no cat swinging here. Saying that it had ... Read more

The hotel is less than 10 mins. walk away from the main railway and bus stations along the bank of the river. The reception area is part of a small cafe which doubles up as the dining room. The staff were very pleasant and our room - 902 was for two nights. It had a double sided view - one over the rooftops and one towards the street/river below. It had a double bed, TV, fridge, hairdryer and a kettle. The bed was sandwiched into the room with only one open side. Opening the suitcase wasn't eas... Read more

We booked a twin room in this hotel and we endend up in room 610, a very spacious room with a huge window with wa nice view over the river and the city. The other rooms on each floor are much smaller, so if you have the chance get one of these corner rooms! Our room had two spacious bed, a sofa, a writing desk, and some extra chairs. The free wifi was not that good, unfortunately. The breakfast a tasty but, as mentioned by others, very minimal. I would rather pay a bit extra and have a sufficie... Read more

Things I like: 1. Good location beside the river, near to Hiroshima Station. 2. Clean, new and modern room. 3. Very good price for the standard. 4. The hotel had a team of young and hip staff who are able to speak English, which was very refreshing. They were very friendly and helpful during my stay. One of their manager even printed out the instruction on how to use the FamilyMart terminal to book event tickets and sent it personally to my room, which surprised me as I had only asked him casual... This hotel is a breath of fresh air from the usual budget business hotels in Japan which are usually dark, reeking of tobacco smell and musty. It was raining when I arrived at the station and I thought I needed to take the taxi which only took around maybe 7 minutes and cost 610 yen. But when I walked back to the station, I realised that I didn't need the taxi because the hotel was so near and the you pass by a kind of pedestrian underpass on the way so it was very convenient even it it was rain... I had a big corner room with good views of the river. Staff friendly. Breakfast was rather small- however, this did not bother me as the booking I had made did not include breakfast. When I arrived they said I would get free breakfast.

I chose the Hotel Flex for three nights' stay in Hiroshima based on reviews from other Trippers. Thank you. It proved to be a good choice at a very competitive price. About 10 minutes walk from Hiroshima station, across the bridge next to the hotel. Free breakfast is included and is served in an open-air cafe area on the ground floor, overlooking the river. Very nice. Very fast, free Wifi. My room was a compact, single room but it had everything I required. There is a Family Mart next door. ... Read more

The room is pretty small but that's standard in Japan and I've paid more for rooms this size. It was big enough for me and I was only staying one night. The staff were friendly and happy to accommodate. Thanks for the umbrella on a rainy day! Breakfast was light but good for getting on the go - and it was free! Lovely seating section outside. Very easy to get to from the train station, which was important to me so I could easily walk.

Hotel Flex would have received five stars, but due to the small breakfast, I could not aware it this high rating. I understand that portions does not always equate to more energy, but it was felt that further improvement is required in this area. I appreciate that Europeans may eat too much, but even a small child would be hungry after this offering. Please reconsider a larger roll or would be truly welcomed!! Love the hotel /views and the rooms/bed were great!! Staff were w... Read more

At first glance, Hiroshima's Hotel Flex is really compact and out of the way. But it's the staff who won me over big time. From checkin to check out, they met our every need. The tiny restaurant has gorgeous views of the river. The hamburger steak meal was served w/ a tiny salad, excellent mushroom soup, fresh toasted bread, and the most delicious hamburger steak. They transported our luggage quickly and efficiently. Accommodating a party of 12 is not easy. But the staff work hard to mak... Read more

Hotel was in a decent location, just 5mins walk from the central train station. Room was pretty tight but thats standard for Japan. What set it apart were the staff - all extremely friendly. Several spoke excellent English (which wasn't expected but obviously very helpful). When someone couldn't help with a question, the following morning another member of staff made an effort to come and find us to give us the info we were looking for. Would stay there again as decent value as well.
