Very convenient location that is just 7mins walk from Hakone Yumoto Station. Book a room with private onsen so the little one can take a dip and enjoy the experience for his first trip to Japan! The room is really huge that I believe can accommodate 4 pax comfortably. When you first enter, there is the entrance and hallway that house the toilet, 2 vanity sink and a kitchen sink for the your use to make beverages. The main area is where you will have your meal and for turndown into futon at nig... Read more

Stayed in a standard room with river view. Large and clean room. No wifi available in the room, but can be accessed at the first and second floor lobbies. River view is underwhelming (more of a brook) but the sound of it is quite relaxing. Public onsen is fantastic. There are public onsen on 2nd and 6th floors, separated by gender. The onsen on the 2nd floor has a very large main indoor pool and several smaller outdoor pools. Very impressive. As a westerner, I was a little lost as to what to do... Read more

If I was visiting Japan I'd want to stay in a ryokan. I did, and I did. Although this was a large hotel, it did not feel that way. The welcome was lovely, the setting superb and the room beautiful. Compared to hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto, our room was huge, with a traditionally furnished tatami area and a slightly westernised sitting room area looking out over the river below, spacious bathroom and plenty of wardrobe space. We were fitted with yukatas after we settled in, and while at dinner (a ... Read more

This hotel did not disappoint. We do feel it was a bit overpriced but was still good, considering the rate included breakfast & dinner. They we're very strict with check-in time - absolutely no way of getting in prior to 3pm. Same with check-out - absolutely not late check-outs are granted. We walked around a bit while we waited for our room to be ready. If you walk over the little river near the hotel & follow the road across another bridge then make a right. You'll be walking for a bit &... Read more

I stayed this hotel a few times visited to Hakone. Excellent location near to the train stop, good osen facilities. I tried the modern room and Japanese room with private bath, both are the comfy room to stay. In room dining with nice food materials. Strongly recommended!

A fantastic hotel, in a great location, just by the river. Considering there is no railway station in the area, the hotel provides a free shuttle to and from JR Kaga onsen station. When you arrive at the hotel, the entire staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel location allows for a great rotenburu (outdoor onsen), where you sit in the warm onsen waters and enjoy the sound of the river just passing by. The hotel is also conveniently located to allow for strolls in the town, enjoying... Read more
