Within walking of the Shinkansen, very well priced and the service was great. We checked in close to midnight and the host was gracious. The room was buy far the biggest room we stayed in in Japan. It had two double beds with the softest pillows and linen I'd had in a while. The bathroom was massive!!!! The only down side was that our wifi in the room didn't work but as we were literally only there for 6hrs it didn't matter and we didn't have time to ask them to fix it. Would stay again!!!!!

Conveniently located within 10 min walk from Hakodate train station. Relatively cheap 3 star hotel. Easy 3 min walk to the morning market. There are some restaurants around the hotel area but not much shopping. Opposite there is a mini mart. Temperature of the room cannot be adjusted though.

The hotel is close to the JR Hakodate station but not super close so you might have to struggle a bit with your luggage if the roads are icy. My room was a good size and was fine, though it just had a little kettle-type humidifier instead of the machines that seem to be common in most hotels now. My main issue was: despite being on the 6th floor, as I was facing the main road, I could hear the tweeting of the cross-walk till pretty late at night and from pretty early in the morning. I'm a ligh... Read more

It is just a few minutes walk from the JR train station and the morning market where you can get very fresh seafood breakfast as early as 6.30am. You can walk along the coast to the places of interest. They are not very far away. The room is clean and the staffs are friendly and polite.

Hotel Resol is located only a few minutes walk from Hakodate station, excellent for visitors arriving by train. It's also a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll away from the charming Hakodate Bay area. It has a good lobby to relax in and friendly welcoming staff whose knowledge of English leaves a bit to be desired. I stayed in a double room with a spacious good bed and great view of the harbour. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is served in the top floor restaurant with a lovely view of ... Read more

Hotel Resol Hakodate is within walking distance to the morning markets, the harbour, JR Hakodate, the trams and Daimon Yokocho. There's also a big departmental store just beside, and a 7-11 right opposite. The staff were very friendly. The rooms, however were small. We had 2 adults and 1 toddler and we had to sleep horizontally as the beds were too small for us. The bathroom was a little dated

The room's cosy but it was enough for 2. I thought the front desk clerks were friendly. It's conveniently located near the train station and a few minutes' walk from the morning market. Definitely recommended for a few days' stay!

The rooms in Japan are usually small if you noticed it's cheaper online. If you are not too bothered or you are smaller in size, I think it's still ok unless you stay in the room most of the time. This hotel is not too far from the train station and the tram station is just downstairs. I felt the sound proofing is adequate so the tram didn't irritated me much. It's quite convenient to have the tram by the doorsteps if you intend to use it during your stay. The rooms are well equipped and clean.... Read more

This hotel has a great location right by the train and bus stations and near the tram stop. The famous morning market is very close by. The room is large enough for 2 and as usual in Japan, well equipped. It was quiet but too hot. Why do Japanese hotels need to be so hot??? The staff speak little English which is unusual for Hakodate which has 4 million visitors per year. Nonetheless they tried hard to fix my heat problem and gave me an electric fan.

stayed for 2 nights here. initially booked a double room which is facing the main road and tram station. the noise from the street and tram disturb our sleep. Also, i found that the bed wasn't as comfortable as Hotel Resol Sapporo.Hence on the next day we requested to change room to twin room which is facing the back street with about 2000 yen top up. Location wise, its quite difficult to find at a cold night especially walking with big luggage from JR station which is about 5-10 min walk, beca... Read more
